“Very convenient location.”
Very convenient location. The NJ Transit train station (Convent Station) is literally across the street. This means that I am able to walk a few blocks from my apt in Boston, take the local train to the Amtrak station, take Amtrak to NY Penn Station, and the NJ Transit train from NY Penn Station to The Madison Hotel. The hotel staff is good, i.e. they are professional, and know the area. Car rental companies pick up and drop off customers at the hotel. My last visit was during the October 2011 snow storm that knocked out power to about 5 towns. The front desk folks were able to immediately give me a menu and phone number for one of the few restaurants that had power and delivered. Driving through the town of Madison no one had power yet the people at the front desk knew a place to call. My nieces and nephew loved the pool.
“Great experience will return for daughters wedding in July 2012”
For the price tag, could not get a better deal in the Morristown, Madison, Morris Plains, Denville area!!
“A one of a kind surprise”
We had a family gathering and spent two nights at the Madison. With a stoked fireplace in the lobby this was no motel. The pool and whirlpool were great and try to get a tour of Rod's and the conservatory. Probably the best value for a room under $90. We'd be glad to return.
“Very pleasant place.”
Nice rooms, very quiet, lovely neighborhood.
“Quite impressed”
I had a short, yet very pleasant stay at The Madison. The interior was elegant and my room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was nice, though it lacked any hot food. My only actual complaint is that the walls are little thin and you can sometimes hear the neighbors. Overall, however, I think this is a fine hotel and would certainly stay here again in the future.
“Fourth Visit”
Overall this was another very good experience. Loved the treadmills and the more healthy food choices at breakfast. However, the bathtub had some mold, and there was a line where the vacuum came within the bed, but there was a very visible line of dust alongside the bed. Staff seemed hesitant to interact. Dirty dishes at breakfast were out around the room for quite a while. People were looking for clean places to sit.
“Continental Breakfast”
Continental Breakfast was OUTSTANDING. Noise from the train station horns, however, generally VERY quiet. Good exercise room, although the roof leaks into the Exercise Room when it rains (no factor).
“Excellent trip!”
We were visiting family and I stayed at many hotels but this one was exceptional. It was clean, the staff was friendly and the food was great. Will stay again!
“Excellent Hotel”
Very cosy stay
“Not a great stay”
This hotel is dated and sorely needs a facelift
