Poor Condition

Posted 25-Jun-2014
The sliding door to the patio would not close securely. Additionally, the room smelled horribly. It claimed to be a non-smoking room, but the smell of smoke infiltrated all of our clothing packed in the suitcase.

If they bothered to clean it, it would be fine!!!

Cons: Clean it!!!
For the price, my expectations were obviously not high; I didn't expect amenities. Rather, I hoped for Spartan and clean. Unfortunately, the hotel was poorly run and unclean. Roach in the room, holes in the curtains and bedding, bathroom cleaned only in the areas that seemed easiest for the maid to reach, food piled outside peoples' doors in the hallway when I checked in was still there when I checked out, making the hallway smell awful. There was tomato sauce on the walls in the stairwell. Tomato sauce? The bed was clean, though, and rather comfortable. The old TV worked. The water pressure in the shower was fantastic. Sure, the place hasn't been updated in years, but for the price, who cares? I'd rather have a cheap, outdated hotel option around. However, I'd gladly pay a little extra if it meant the hotel would hire an extra maid or two who bothered to do their job. It could be a decent little crash pad -- especially as the location on Rt. 10 right by Rt. 287 is highly convenient. Just clean the place!!!!!

For the price, this was a good deal, better than expected. Room was large. Good breakfast included. Nice people working there.

Pros: Price.
Cons: Roof.
Location: Eight minutes to the Stickley Museum.
Good price, very comfortable bed and sheets. Free WIFI. The roof over the entrance was leaking so I had to dodge around the downpour to get in the door. The entry hall smelled very smoky, but my room was fine with no trace of smoke. Friendly staff at the front desk.

Less Than Expected/But Not as bad as could be

Posted 18-Mar-2014
Pros: Geographic Convenience
Cons: Just a general run down look in common areas
Check in was pleasant and the clerk was able to answer some questions I had about car services knowledgeably and with assurances to reliability of needed transportation

Last time I come here..!!

Posted 25-Jan-2014 on Hotels.com
This is my second stay at this location. And I must say it's going to be my last. he first time around was not bad at all even though the hotel needs a MAJOR update as far as everything. This time around was a whole different story. to make a long story short, I found in one of the nightstands, an open box of condoms. he condoms weren't used themselves as they were still in unopened packages but still, it goes to show you how much detail the cleaning crew really cleans..!!!! I didn't freak out since they were still new, so I just left it at that. Why I didn't tell management I have no clue, other than that it's really not going to change the way they operate..!!!!! It would have been a waste of breathe at a place like this..!!!

Food was either stale or frozen, poor directions on where the hotel location is at, bad customer service.

The price was good thats why they call it the econo lodge. 1 when we got there the clerk gave us a room that was being worked on the repair man called down stair to tell them we could not have the room. Had to go back and get another room went to the room it was ok. went to are vacation place injoyed the day. Returned back to the room upstairs and the key would not work? Went to the main office and there was nobody there with a sigh on the door no vecancys. Knocked on the door nobody would respond for a while like a 1/2 hour. Called to numbers and finaly somebody answered and I told then i could not get in they gave me new keys went to the room went in room not cleaned? Called then said they were sorry come back down and I will give you touwles ans soap. They they told me they did not have a record of me being there ? I said I went though hotels ,com ? They wanted to see my receipt? had to go get the recipt and go back and show him? thank god I made a copy and took it with me? I will be going back there to the same vacation place and I hope hotels .com can make it up to me? Bad experiance?
