cheap and not worth the savings

Posted 20-Oct-2014 on Hotels.com
Econo Lodge is known as a budget hotel, but you shouldn't have to sacrifice cleanliness to save money. The hotel had a very bad odor, like a men's locker room, There are many people who seem to live here, which is fine, but certainly adds a different air to the hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, ever.

Horrible

Posted 25-Sep-2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
Location: Was there for business!
Looks like the hotel has not been upgraded in at least 10 years. Missing light bulbs, rusty shower curtain rod. Lousy, cheapest "breakfast."

Good for the price

Posted 20-Aug-2014 on Hotels.com
There was a funky smell in the hallway, as others have noted, but the room didn't smell bad. It definitely needs updating but I don't expect hotels at this price to be fancy. It was clean although the shower floor seemed stained (rather than dirty), which is a bit of a turnoff, and there were cigarette burns in the sheets. The gentleman at the front desk was friendly and helpful at check-in. Some of the TV stations were blurry. Breakfast is typical--bagels, cereal, waffles, coffee, juice. Would not go out of my way to stay here again, but would have no problem with staying here if necessary. Overall pretty much exactly what I expected for the price, which was very reasonable.

The WORST Hotel I have stayed in.. EVER

Posted 12-Aug-2014
Pros: Nothing!
Cons: Nothing. The build need to be demolished and rebuilt.
Here is a list of problems; 1) on entry of the room the 1st thing noticed is a very bad smell that did not go away 2) holes in the wall & flaking paint 3) broken shower control & no pressure balance (water temperature changes when a toilet is flushed) 4) dirty towels 5) broken alarm radio 6) Broken / disabled smoke detector (found on safe with battery removed) 7) General sense of disrepair and neglect

Eh...

Posted 12-Aug-2014 on Hotels.com
It's not a room worth more than $50. There was a strong cigarette smell coming into our nonsmoking room. The breakfast had little selection. The rooms need updating. It just reminded me of a cheap motel.

Needs lots of work

Posted 27-Jul-2014 on Hotels.com
The place is overall in need of work. Carpets are very old and dirty. The place looks run down. AC in room barely worked, had a couple bugs in bathroom. Dark rooms, carpet I wouldn't walk barefoot on and bathroom fixtures from the 70s. Thought I was being frugal by getting the cheapest available hotel but boy did I learn a lesson.
