“Good times at the Vivaldi”
This was a clean, well maintained hotel in the Puteaux area of Paris. Be prepared to walk 10 minutes to the metro but once there you are on the yellow line straight into central paris. The breakfast was free and plentiful and the rooms were clean and airy, with air conditioning.
“Will definitely stay here again!”
This hotel is what made our stay in Paris so memorable. It was my first time in Paris and i chose this hotel because it had great reviews - all the reviews are true! The hotel was very homely and comforting, extreamly clean with a very lovely atmosphere! When we arrived we asked for help with using the metro system, the advice we was given was great, he drew a map for us and told us the cheapest way to use the metro (very helpful). The staff was always very polite, made conversation and always so friendly! it was lovely! Free breakfast and wifi was also a brilliant added bonus, which was great! The staff do there best to make you feel at home and 24 hour service really is what you get! I would definitely stay here again! :-) Special thank you to all the staff at the Vivaldi!
“Well done Vivaldi!”
A superb, small hotel, situated in a quiet, modern suburb of Paris. Small but well-equiped rooms, offered in pristine condition. Friendly and helpful staff always available. It was an added bonus to receive a buffet-style breakfast each day as part of the package. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return.
“Quiet, quaint and clean”
Lovely hotel in the Puteaux suburb of Paris. My mom and I were first time visitors to the city and had no trouble getting adapted to the 20-25 commute to and from the hotel to the center of Paris (figure 10-15 minute walk and 10-15 minute subway ride depending on where you're going). One thing is that, since it does take a while, it's hard to stay out late without worrying about finding your way back. The walk to the hotel from the city center seems much longer and creepier at night than it does when you're walking to the Esplanade de la Defense metro stop in the morning. Free wifi, computer access in the lobby, breakfast is included, room service available, free long distance calls and a very caring and attentive staff made for a wonderful first visit to the city of light.
“Will be back”
Having not stayed previously at this hotel i read the recent reviews and how right they were. The staff are first class all very friendly and happy to help. The room was very comfortable and clean, bathroom although slightly on the small side was fine and very clean. The continental breakfast was great. The metro is about a ten minute walk at a leisurely pace and Puteaux itself seemed a nice area, the italian restaurant near the town hall was very good. Would thouroughly recommend this hotel to anyone and the overall value of our trip was as good as ever.
“Nice base to explore La Défense”
The Hotel Vivaldi is quite a walk from the Metro or RER at La Défense, but if you take a 141 or 144 Bus (free with Paris Visite card) you'll be there in no time. The Hotel staff are friendly and very helpful, the included breakfast was great, too, and the room was just right for our needs. The only criticism was that the bathroom was very small, and showering in a cubicle only just big enough to stand up in was a challenge to say the least! RER to Arc de Triomphe was under 5 minutes, so it's a good base to explore any of the sights and restaurants, but we took the advice of the hotel and went to Le Bistrot de Boucher round the corner from the hotel and had a fantastic 3 course meal with wine for about 70 Euros. They are open on Sunday nights, and we were lucky to get a table as it soon filled up! All in all a nice base to rediscover Paris - we wished we could have stayed longer, but I'm glad not to be paying French prices for Beer at home!
“would definitely consider this hotel on my next visit”
Good location-10 minutes to the Metro and the shopping mall for bottled water, etc. La Defense is on the 'main line', so to speak, and it's extremely easy to navigate your way around the underground from this starting point. Breakfasts; fine. Drinks such as coffee, otherwise, were reasonably-priced at the hotel. Comfort:most acceptable. Service: attentive and polite.
“Excellent, definitely I will be back......”
Excellent !!! The hotel was far beyond my expectation. Room had enough space for me and well-conditioned, clean and comfortable. It was difficult for me to find something negative. If I have to say any point to improve, there is no soap dish in shower booth (but it was very tiny, tiny matter.....) I think this would be one of the most cost-effective hotel among to the globe I stayed for a few years. I definitely stay again when I am back in Paris. Really enjoyed !! Thank you for the kindness.
“Would stay again”
delightful hotel - very clean, lots of charm, plenty of great places to eat close by - great breakfast - only small issue is the distance to the metro station , but every thing else was great. hope to be back
“Found other reviews misleading”
The hotel is tiny and pretty typical, according to Paris standards. It is inexpensive and provides a breakfast buffet, which is decent but nothing to write home about. We rented a room for three people, but what we got is a room with a double bed, where they had added on a third, foldable bed, which was too short for an adult and had a bed lamp, which couldn't be moved, right where your head is supposed to be when you're sleeping, so it was a major inconvenience. We slept very uncomfortably with three people in the small room, so on the second night we had to rent another room. The hotel staff was polite enough to offer us a second room at half price, due to the inconvenience, but they ended up charging us for three people at the end (for a room used just by two), because we weren't paying attention at checkout. It is an adequate hotel for the price, as most Paris hotels are rather pricy, but I wouldn't recommend or visit this hotel again. It is far from the closest metro stop (15-minute walk), and overall not very convenient for a sightseeing type of trip. It is in the La Defense area of Paris, which is a very business-oriented area, so there isn't much to do around the hotel and the metro has to be used to go anywhere.
