“Pleasantly Surprised!”

I have been to Paris many times and have been to the Latin Quarter on a few occasions to sample the food and the nightlife but I have never stayed there. Being aware that the quality of hotels can vary wildly I was very pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the Villa Pantheon. We arrived late having taken the last Eurostar of the day and were greeted by a friendly Night Receptionist. The foyer of the hotel is decorated with a dark wood, leather and tartan theme so would not look out of place in Scotland. The room was on the small side but nicely decorated and well stocked, the bathroom was again tastefully decorated and was a good size (the shower was excellent good pressure and plenty of hot water). We had a room to the front of the hotel on the 4th floor and had no problems with the noise ... in fact we had the window open during the night and were not disturbed by excessive noise. We did not have breakfast at the hotel so cannot comment on price or quality. Instead we chose to walk to one of the many cafes in the area to eat. The Villa Pantheon is in a good location abut 15 minutes walking from Notre Dame and a walk in the opposite direction to Rue Mouffetard is about 10mins with the Jardin du Luxembourg also 10mins away there are enough shops, restaurants, cafes and bars to suit all tastes. I would highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again .... if they included breakfast in the price it would be an absolute winner!

“Great service and location”

Armed with only high-school French, the English-speaking staff at Villa Pantheon made our visit very comfortable. They were available 24 hours a day and would explain anything you needed to know about the Paris sights, tours, the Metro, museum discounts, etc. Their enthusiasm and welcoming manner are strong selling points for the hotel. Our room was very clean. Yes, there are dark striped walls, drapes, and bedspreads which do seem a little odd, but that is in line with their theme. Don't spend a lot of time looking at the walls. Just open your tall double windows, lean out on your balcony and watch Paris go by. The location is outstanding. You are a few minutes' walk from Notre Dame, Lux Gardens, and the Metro.

“Great Left Bank Hotel”

Villa Pantheon is a real find in Paris. It is not cheap, but neither is it expensive in one of Europe's most expensive cities. Lobby and rooms are spacious and clean. There is a small, quiet courtyard with tables and chairs. The WiFi is free and it works--but listen to the explanation. Bathrooms are very modern. The staff is polite and very helpful. Skip the expensive breakfast and walk down the hill to the cafe a block away on Place Maubert--there's an interesting open-air market and a Metro stop there too.

“NIce people, clean, helpful, delightful staff”

The hotel was clean and nice. Rooms are small but larger than friends who were staying close by. The hotel staff was wonderful, addressing us by name and helping us maneuver Paris. They set up our day trips and transportation without a hitch. No breakfast included..that was expensive..but many cafes in the area. Nice place to stay, would go back.........

“We loved it!”

We loved this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was excellent. It was a quiet street yet close to many of the sites as well as many places to eat and buy snacks. We would stay there again.

“Clean, Comfortable & Great Location!”

Our 4th floor, street-view room was actually larger than expected, impeccably clean, very comfortable, firm twin beds, good lighting, and excellent closet space. I would unhesitatingly recommend Villa Pantheon and the surrounding area to friends/family. While perhaps not a 4-star by American standards--for that level of service/style in Paris you'll need to pay at least triple and perhaps quintuple the Pantheon rates at a five star--this hotel lives up to above average standards. For comfort, cleanliness, safety and convenience, in a wonderful, quite area off the busy/noisy streets of St. Michel & St. Germain, Villa Pantheon is an excellent choice.

“A straight 4* Hotel!!!”

First of all the place of the hotel was superb. You can walk to most Parisian attractions(Notre Dome-Louvre-Eiffel) but if you re not much of a walker then there is a metro station just a minute walk from the hotel. Just learn how to use the metro and you can go anywhere in Paris-and it s much cheaper than UKs subway! The hotel s personnel were friendly and helpful and spoke English. The room was not as small as some guys mentioned in previous posts. I d rather say that it was medium but had enough space for two persons and their luggage. The bed although it was formed by two singles rather than a double was ok and had enough space. There were many wardrobes for clothes and there was also a small fridge and a safe box. The bathroom was big enough and had a bathtub. The room had also two small balconies and because our room was on the sixth floor there was a very nice view. The bed sheets and towels were replaced daily. The only disadvantage was the reduced lighting of the room; at the beginning it was romantic and we though it would be ok but then it became annoying and there was not any way to increase the light. But we got used to it; after all we stayed only for three nights. Despite that this was one of the best hotels I ve been to and I would definitely visit again in the future. For the breakfast which is not included and costs a bit as soon as you get out of the hotel in every corner of Paris there are cafés serving breakfast pastries tarts snacks. I hope you enjoy it!

“Perfect location”

This hotel is right by the Latin Quarter and within walking distance to two metro stops. The room and bed were not very big, but clean and well maintained. Friendly staff and great location for the price!!

“Very comfortable and convenient hotel in the Left Bank”

The Villa Pantheon is in a great location if you're staying in the Left Bank--not far from the Metro, RER train to/from Charles de Gaulle airport, and all main boulevards. It is a pleasant walk to Notre Dame and Ile de la Cite. All of the hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. They also spoke English, which is helpful for those travelers who don't speak French. I stayed in a deluxe room, which was very clean, comfortable, and quite large. The only drawback I found was that there was no internet connection in the rooms, however free WiFi is available in the reception/bar area. I would avoid eating the breakfast at the hotel when there are so many wonderful cafes to enjoy. Le Petit Cluny on Boulevard St Michel has a nice breakfast and it is in a good location for people-watching. I had a very pleasant stay at Villa Pantheon and would not hesitate to stay there again.
