Great location, but cleanliness need to be improve

Posted 17-Oct-2014
Pros: Location and friendly staff
Cons: This hotel needs serious improvements. Cleanliness needs to be improved.
Location: The hotel is centrally located. Louvre is a 5 min walk from the hotel.
I stayed in this hotel with my friend for 9 days. The only thing I like about this hotel is it's location and friendly staff. I will never stay at this hotel again.

Great Location

Posted 12-Sep-2014
The hotel is close to ALL the delights of Paris...the rest you can do by simply walking or the subway. The hotel is so close to good restaurants, butcher, baker, fruit vegetable and of course the clothing stores. The hotel is a little tired but who cares....it's location, location, location...it's clean, tidy and the staff are GREAT!

Worst Experience ever

Posted 24-Aug-2014
Location: Location is perfect, but it is not worthy, better stay at Ibis Eiffel Tower.
Location is fantastic, but the Hotel is old and very dirt. There is no way to pay for the rate which I have paid and stayed in very bad and place Hotel. Everything is falling a part, bathroom is disgusting dirty, I have to even request to change toilet brush, because it was terrible. Breakfast was a joke, when I have request a ice cube to easy the terrible juice available, staff brought an ice tray on the table and without a ceremony pick up the ice cube with his dirty hand which few minutes before he was cleaning his sweating forehead. I have paid for 2 rooms for 3 nights, but we stayed only one night and we had to move to another place. It was a waste of money, time and energy.

Nice hotel, close to many attractions

Posted 20-Jul-2014
Pros: The location was excellent
Cons: Although everything is functional and clean, updating and modernizing would positively improve its value.
Location: The hotel is in the waking distance from Louvre, St. Chapelle, Notre-Dame Cathedral, and Pompidou center. There are many restaurants and shops around.
Hotel is in a nice old building. The triple room was large enough to accommodate three people. Amenities were functional. Everything was clean.

Close to Louvre!

Posted 09-Jul-2014
Pros: The staff!
Cons: Better Internet and better TV and a coffer maker/hot water maker.
Location: The Louvre very close and places to eat/drink.
The staff is excellent! The rooms are very, very, very small, no coffee maker and this was a problem for us who are coffee drinkers and hate the European "American" coffee. There is no dresser and a very small closet so you will live out of your suitcase. The hotel was very near the Louvre and not that far to walk to Notre Dame. You will need to take the underground to get to the Eiffel Tower or Champs-Élysées since it is a long walk. There is a hop on hop off Seine river boat that was excellent and can take you to the Eiffel Tower or Champ-Élysées also. One day pass was 16 euros and 2 day pass 18 euros so that was a great deal. The hotel is close to many restaurants which were very good. Again I must say the hotel staff was excellent, they helped us with directions, booked the van the get to the airport and even got us hot water for coffee when wanted to make our instant coffee. The wifi is fair since you need to keep signing on but it is free, the elevator can fit only 1 person and 1 suitcase, the TV is poor since they only have a few channels and they are not in English but who watches TV when in Paris! It was a quaint, small European Hotel and should not be compared to the hotels in the US.

Excellent location, friendly staff

Posted 08-Jul-2014
Pros: Location, cleanliness, it was quite at night.
Cons: More lights in the room and a lock on the bathroom door... :)
Location: Everything is within walking distance...
Our room 305 was very quiet at night, although the area is quite lively. Excellent neighborhood feeling with cafes/bars and stores.

in the heart if everything. Great access to all.

Posted 30-Jun-2014
Pros: Clean,friendly great location.
Location: All of the places we wanted to see were within walking distance. We did use the subway but only for time
We had absolutely no problems with our trip. All was "as advertised". The time change takes some getting used to but with the excitement of being in Paris you overcome it.

Nice hotel -great location

Posted 23-Jun-2014
Pros: Great location - near Metro stops, the Louvre, lots of cafes.
Cons: They serve American brewed coffee for breakfast and it is terrible. Go down the street to a cafe for a latte.
Nice staff, small but clean room, AC worked well, almost a bit too cool! Overall very nice.

Great location, but you pay for quaint.

Posted 23-Jun-2014
Pros: Great service. Wonderful, safe and convenient location.
Cons: Building is aged. Shower head was broken.
Location: Louvre, cafés, shops, etc.
Americans are spoiled by our large rooms and luxury hotels. This was not a typical US facility. The lift only held one person and one bag at a time. The room slept four, but barely. The bathroom shower was broken. The room was tiny. Yet, with the challenges I saw and that frustrated me due to the cost, my wife found it quaint and European. We could walk two blocks to the Louvre and 1 block to the Metro station. There were cafés all around us and a variety of shops to visit. Finally, on top of it all, the staff was friendly, kind and attentive. They knew we didn't speak French, but were kind enough to guide, assist and help.
