“Very central and a good city location”

It was exactly as printed on the website. Clean, very central for touring the City and very competitive prices. One small point, is if you have an option, ask for a front view room.

“Not 100%”

The Hotel is excellent for the price that i paid and yes i would recommend it, however directions to get to the hotel were dreadful. The service, for the price i paid was satisfactory. The hotel were also very accommodating for my lack of French, which i was very thank full for.

“Definately a Winner!”

As the hotel is only a 2 star I wasn't expecting too much from the hotel, but I was impressed. All of the staff were pleasant and helpful. We were on the third floor, and were impressed to have a balcony room, although it wasn't much, it was more than we expected. The breakfast was very nice for a continental and offered a wide selection of foods. It was a very hot weekend when I visited - too hot to sleep under the covers. Luckily we had a fan in the room, so we managed to keep the room at a decent temperature. We asked for an iron at night, but there was none left. We asked again in the morning and there was one available, so that wasn't too much of an inconvenience. We also asked the receptionist where we could find 'frogs legs' and she rang around local restaurants until she found one - all of which was done in French, so her assistance was a great help! The hotel itself is in a great location as it is across the road from the Saint Lazare station, and at max a 10 minute walk to the river Seine, where the majority of the city's main attractions can be found. There is also a Starbucks across the street! If and when I return to Paris I would definately look for a hotel within the same area, and if possible I would stay at this hotel again.

“A good place to rest your head after a long walk in Paris”

The hotel itself when you arrive is up a flight of stairs for the reception. The staff were very friendly on arrival and were not long in making you feel comfortable. We paid extra for a room upgrade, which I have to say was not not that great, it was a very small room with no view except a brick wall! The rooms facilities were very limited, we had a very small single wardrobe and a portable TV. Tea and coffee making facilities were also not that great but there is a Starbucks directly across the road. The bathroom was very cramped. I have to say though that the rooms were immaculately clean and there cleaners were in every morning. The staff helped us book taxi's and confirm reservations and were very pleasant in doing so. The hotel was in a convenient place with a metro stop just round the corner. The bottom line is although the rooms were very small and not really worth paying extra for (although didn't see standard rooms) I would definitely use this hotel again, It has a nice warm bed and cleanliness you couldn't fault, and after all thats what you need after a long day's walk.

“Excellent value for money and great location”

This hotel was not luxurious but it was perfect for what we wanted: a clean hotel, friendly service, quiet, near to the metro and close to lots of restaurants and shops. Perfect location for those wanting to explore the city and literally needing a room to rest their head at night.

“Very Impressed”

Very happy that Expedia.com helped me to choose this Hotel. An excellent Hotel, located close to St Lazare metro, this is located centrally. The staff was extremely courteous, spoke very good English and was very helpful. The size of the room is not bad, considering Paris standards, and the attached bathroom was very comfortable. (Breakfast in the Hotel was not good, nearby restaurants are better). The staff also knew all details about tourist stops, and helped me with a reservation in Moulin Rouge. I strongly recommend this hotel (on an un-biased basis) to all travellers, especially to budget travellers.

“Can't beat the location”

I had a very nice, considering the small-room norm for Paris hotels, and quiet room. The location is terrific. Staff was very helpful. Really central to transporation links and walking-distance close to a variety of amenities. Continental breakfast a bit subpar. All in all a really good, and maybe unusual, value.

“Decent”

My room was very modern facing the street. Room is very clean. Location is decent but dead at night and scary. I would recommend this hotel if you do not plan on staying out late.

“Pleasant surprise, excellent location”

The hotel is right next door to a seafood restaurant, and they seem to shuck oysters right by the hotel's front door...so...that was a bit of a smelly surprise. Other than that, the hotel was a pleasant surprise for it's star rating and price. I found the hotel to be just what you pay for. Not too little, not too much. We were lucky enough to get a room facing the main street, facing the Saint Lazare station so we had a great balcony view on the 5th floor. I'm not sure other floors had a little balcony you can step out onto. I do recommend the 5th floor for these views. I didn't try their breakfasts so I can't comment on their food. Do beware of the smoking europeans...they smoke any and everywhere, so that can get a bit annoying. Other than that, the room was great. It wasn't the most "roomiest" rooms, but served it's purpose well for the 3 days we spent in Paris. The absolute best aspect of this hotel was it's location. RIGHT at the entrance of a good Metro station (St. Lazare). Everything (landmarks) are within limits, as long as you know which train and where to get off. If you'd like to walk, it's perfect walking distance to the Opera Garnier and the dept. stores Lafayette and Printemps.
