“Good value hotel in a great location”

Hotel manager is extremely friendly and helpful. All information you need is available either from him or hotel room book. Great location and if you do not want to eat breakfast at the hotel, then there are good places nearby to start the day with. Superior rooms seem to have very pleasant views, we liked the one overlooking the square. Room cleanliness was of a high standard. The only downside was that the bathroom and lift are small and can be difficult to move around in. By accident we choose this hotel some years back and did not realise this until we arrived for our second visit. The hotel then was good and still is.

“very friendly, clean and comfortable”

We arrived late to a warm weloome and a clean and tidy room after a hectic journey. The hotel is in the more romantic part of Montmatre, with plenty of attractive bars and restaurants. We will definitely use this hotel next time we visit Paris.

“Great location”

Hotel was a perfect base for us for seeing Montmartre and walking to Gare du Nord on our day of departure for Eurostar train home to London. Only gripe was that there was no hairdrier!

“Depends on what you're looking for...”

This is a tricky review to write : the hotel was nothing fancy but fine for us - the room was small, the shower was mental and flooded the bathroom every time it was used but it was a good quality shower where the water stayed hot throughout. the staff were a mixed bag : the fella that was there when we arrived was really friendly and very helpful but a couple of the others weren't as friendly (though this might just have been because their English wasn't as good). the breakfast was alright (an optional extra) - but in my opinion at 10 eurors per head per day i thought it was a little on the expensive side. Now the difficult thing to review is the location : on the one hand it's good : it's less than a five minute walk from the metro and it's on a vibrant, buzzing square in the middle of montmatre. there's a decent cafe not a minute's walk away from the front door and USUALLY the noise dies down by about midnight. HOWEVER, on one of the nights we were there, the locals were having some sort of outdoor street party that was still going strong at 4 in the morning and probably would have continued all night were it not for the blessed occurence of rain at 5am. I'm not sure how often that happens but it was incredibly noisy and impossible to sleep. If you don't mind a bit of noise, the location is very nice - very 'French' - a good way to immerse yourself in the local culture. If you're looking for somewhere fancier and quieter, I suggest you go elsewhere!

“Good budge hotel”

Overall I was impressed with the Timhotel and would go back. However - choose your room wisely. For the first night we were on the second floor overlooking the front entrance of the hotel. There were buskers and groups of people singing and talking loudly until 4am ... unless you can sleep through loud noise, don't get a room at the front. We complained to reception the next morning and they offered us an upgrade to another room for an extra 10 Euro a night. We made the change and were very glad we did. We were on the 4th floor and overlooked the other side of the hotel, away from the front entrance. The room and bathroom were roomier and we had the most amazing view of the Eiffel tower from our window! Besides the initial glitch, we were really pleased with our stay. The staff on the whole were friendly and helpful. Only exception was one of the breakfast ladies who was rude and in a bad mood ... I'm hoping she was just having a bad day. There is also a lovely cafe across from the hotel where we had breakfast one morning. The area is close to the metro and has lots of cafes nearby which are open till late. I would definitely stay here again - though I'd be very careful what room I stayed in!

“A really lovely easy going hotel”

situated within minutes of Sacre Coeur, the hotel is a good climb from Pigalle, so whilst not ideal for the elderly or disabled, for anyone else it is an excellent choice. Very clean, friendly helpful staff and convenient for both Abbesses and Pigalle metro. Each evening we wondered up to Place Du Tetre where there is an excellent choice of restaurants and bars. The atmosphere alone is worth a visit for. There was also a good selection of bars and restaurants just down from the Hotel. We would most definitely book again.

“2 star is 2 star....”

I must confess to be a little surprised at the near rave reviews this place gets. The public areas and my room were CRAMPED AND UTTERLY CHARACTERLESS. Sound insulation very poor so people talking in the corridors for example could be quite an annoyance. The little public square attracts all sorts, including folks who enjoy a regular drink if you get my gist. The staff were very helpful and the place spotlessly clean. I would recommend it to others, but only just.

Basic hotel but very friendly staff and in a great location although you must be able to manage steep hills!
