“Excellent all-rounder”
I would certainly recommend this hotel - the staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke good english. The room was clean and modern (not huge, but that's what we expected from a city centre hotel room at a reasonable rate). There is a metro station right out front, making it very easy to get into the centre (or it's only a 10 min walk to the Louvre). There is a 'buzz' on the street outside, with a few large shops and bars, although a front facing room may be noisy at night. TIP: Get a MAS Sol Melia card online before you go. Tryp hotels are part of this chain and gets you buy one get one free breakfast. A good all rounder hotel for people wanting a nice place on a moderate budget.
“Paris break”
Hotel is central to sights and close to shopping, bars and restaurants. The staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel is clean and tidy and a good price in that location.
“Great Location, Great Price, Great Staff”
If you're planning on using this hotel as just a base then this is the hotel for you. Located in the bustling Grands Boulevards district, lots of restaurants nearby (spoiled for choice) and the opera district just a short stroll down the street. I recommend going to the nearby "Chartier" restaurant for a bit of authenticity. The parisians eat there, its reasonably priced (especially for paris) and the food is second to none. Metro located right outside the hotel and nowhere in Paris is more than two metros away, (Buy a book of 10 metro tickets on your arrival about 11 euros, and can be purchased from main metro and train stations using the machines). I wouldnt suggest having breakfast in the hotel at 19euros it's quite steep and theres plenty of pattisseries and bakeries in and around the hotels area, id suggest just popping to one of those on your way out. The rooms are what you expect from a main city hotel room, it was bigger than i was expecting because i'm used to staying in the tiny hotel rooms available in Central London. For two people there's plenty of room. The rooms are well presented and very clean, a flat screen lcd tv (with no english channels besides the news though) and a mini bar. The staff were very helpful and polite. I would recommend this hotel to any of my friends who are planning on goin to Paris it's a real gem.
“Great location”
The hotel was great, the room was clean and tidy, fairly small but this was to be expected. It's on a busy street so not great if you find it hard to sleep but I think it would be the same in most places. The metro is right outside the hotel and was so easy to get to places-it was fantastic. The staff were very friendly too and could speak English.
“Would stay again”
Have to say we were pleasantly surprised with quality of this hotel. Staff were pleasant, our 'King bed' room was a good size and very comfortable - only complaint was, despite requesting non-smoking, the room had a distinct whiff about it. Our location for this trip was dictated by a wedding but very convenient, a little touristy but metro station right outside so accessible for everything. We would certainly stay again.
“Paris”
Right next to a Metro station, close to Opera Garnier and Boulevard Haussman (for Galleries Lafayette), typical sized Paris room but nicely decorated and clean, pity view was ban interior light shaft, but there to sleep and handy for things.
“Great hotel.”
Great location, great room and great price. Took 2 rooms at the hotel for a long weekend, and although they were smoking rooms- I couldn't fault them. They overlooked the street, bathroom was clean, beds were comfortable. One thing to note though- the rooms were literally the floor above "O'Sullivans Irish Pub"- this didn't bother us as we were out until around 4 in the morning, but the club doesn't shut until around 5ish on weekends- so this might be a problem for some travellers as the noise is quite noticeable. But we booked the hotel knowing this- and for the location etc it was perfect.
“Good Location, Poor Maintenance.”
This is a Nice hotel in a great location, the nearest metro station being situated perhaps 100 yards from the hotel, there are some nice bars/cafes/restaurants around the hotel, very easy to walk to the Louvre and to get to main shopping areas. The only issue being the room, it is a lot smaller than what the pictures make it look like, the bathroom door would not lock and the air conditioning would not turn on! that would be ok if it were possible to open and window, but me and my partner were stumped on that aswell. I would definitely return to this hotel.
