“Location amazing for Disney!”
Hotel is good, not the best, but good for the price and for Disneyland. I wouldnt say its 4* but more of a good 3*. Good points: Building itself very nice Reception staff very helpful and speak very good English Location is perfect for Disney - just 1 stop away on train - 5 mins and 30 mins to Paris. Room clean Flat screen tv's with built in DVD Bad points: If I had paid full price, I wouldd have been disappointed as the finish in the rooms is not to a high standard, i.e. Towel rail falling off, problem with shutting window, lack of toilet roll, no kettle or extra pillows. However for the price we paid, it was very good value for rmoney and would recommend.
“Needs a little attention to make it so much better”
We booked this apartment as it was close to disney and very well priced. Finding the hotel was easy as it's right by an entrance to the val d'europe RER station (but you never hear any train noise). The surrounding area is quiet and friendly with excellent places to eat and shop. The staff were friendly and sorted our room out with no problems. The room itself was very tidy and we liked the open plan approach with kitchenette, dining table, sofa and bed (can be shut off with sliding doors). The only things that let it down were the fact that the hairdryer supplied didn't work, neither did the heated towel rail, and our bedroom curtain was nowhere near wide enough to cover the whole window. Being British we didn't say anything as we didn't need a hairdryer, we had plenty of towels supplied for our short stay and every night we were so tired having a slightly small curtain didn't affect our sleep! I do however feel that these should be things that need addressing as others may not take them so lightly. Overall our stay was great. We loved Paris and the hotel being so close to Disney was great. Its about 30 mins from Chatelet Les Halles (central Paris) but even that journey goes quick when you're thinking about what you'll be doing when you arrive! Would happily stay again and recommend!
“Can t wait to go back”
Very nice place to stay for Disney!
“Affordable great location would recommend”
Just got back from a great stay at this hotel. Staff where helpful , apartment was a decent size , clean with balcony. Take DVDs as both tv's only had limited channels . Rer ( train ) right outside hotel, one stop to Disney gates, will need approx€2 per person in change. Huge shopping centre and super Market , bar, cafes, only a five min walk. Train to Paris central 30 mind ride. Would use again.
“Ideal for families”
Having 2 little ones, we decided we needed an apartment as opposed to a family room in a hotel so that my husband and I did not have to go to sleep when the kids did. Residholme Val D'Europe was ideal, the living area was a little small but perfectly manageable. Sliding doors allowed us to put the children to bed while we stayed awake safe in the knowledge that we were just through the partition. The location of the hotel was ideal, it was a 1 minute walk from the main entrance of the train station, however, if you came out the back way, you were brought out opposite the hotel entrance. Val D'Europe (One short train ride away from the Disney Parks) is a pleasant wee town, we never at any point felt unsafe. On the main road outside the station there are a few restaurants, shops, bars etc but at the end of the road there is a HUGE shopping centre, on a par with the Trafford Centre. Unfortunately, shopping is not a favourite pastime of my children but if we go again I will be sure to arrange some shopping time for myself. There are also a large number of restaurants in the shopping centre and an aquarium that we did not have time to visit. We had a fantastic time and the apartments were great for our requirements, my only real complaint is that the pillows were far too thin and we only got one each!
“Perfect for families visiting Eurodisney”
Perfect for a base when visiting Eurodisney. Have stayed in Disney hotels and felt cramped and ripped off. This hotel is one metro stop away from Disney so no waiting for a bus at the end of a long day. Apartment is well planned and clean and functional. Works well for a family of 4 or 5. Staff very helpful and facilities good. Nearby is a huge supermarket so you can get provisions to take into Disney and not pay their prices. Also within 5 minutes walk is a street full of restaurants providing reasonable priced good food - highly recommend the Italian. All in all would go back if visiting Eurodisney again.
“Small and compact but handy for Disneyland”
Rooms small for a family of 4 - 2 adults two children as furniture needed to be shifted about to get fold out sofa bed down and travel cot up. Kitchen facilities fairly basic - two ring hob and microwave but did the job, Really near to Val D'Europe shopping centre - massive hypermarket there and really handy for getting the train to disney. Overall - recommended if you can cope with the relatively cramped conditions.
“Good value for money apartment hotel”
Hotel's main advantage is the location, effectively opposite the RER A Val d'Europe station when you exit from the Montevrain exit. Bear in mind it is an apartment hotel and not full service. Check-in and check-out was easy, we were not disturbed throughout our stay and we could cook whenever we wanted in our apartment as we had a young family sometimes with particular dietary needs. Val d'Europe shopping is close by, so shopping for groceries, clothing or other things was convenient. Sofa beds in the room were comfortable enough, and the hotel served as a good base for Disneyland as it is only one stop away. It was also relatively easy to get to Central Paris as the RER A station is very close (about 40 mins depending on where you are going). Trains run about every 10 mins in either direction. Would consider staying at the place in the future for its benefits. Downside for my family was the poor choice of television channels.
“Buyer beware”
First the positives: 1. Great location for Euro Disney, train station & shopping centre. 2. Excellent sound proofing - thought we were the only ones in the hotel! 3. Helpful reception staff Now the negatives: 1. This is not a 4 star hotel by any stretch of the imagination - 3 star at best 2. Upon check in , was moved 4 times before finding a satisfactory room 3. Eurodisney is not a patch on Floridas Disney World - lacks atmosphere, is dirty, people don't know how to queue, and is very expensive 4. Finally beware airport transfers - if possible book through your hotel rather than direct and Never pay up front.
“Best location for self catering disneyland”
This hotel is in a perfect location for travelling to Disneyland and Paris because the Val’d europe RER (one stop from Disney) is at the hotel entrance. We never heard any noise. Auchan supermarket is about 10 minutes walk away. Although there was a pull down bed, I think 3 adults might have found the room cramped. The double bed was extremely comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. I was a little disappointed at only receiving a small soap and shampoo sample for amenities. The hotel was let down by its basic cleaning. There was dust and dirt around the table legs and under the bed. Some items were broken and missing such as the shaving mirror and shower fitting. The toilet was rusted and the extractor grill was full of dirt. It just felt like it needed a good deep cleaning. The front desk were helpful and spoke to us in English. However, we did not receive enough information at arrival such as what to do with our rubbish, how to use the safety lock on the cooker or cleaning times. Internet access was included with the room, however our access card had been taken. However as the front desk was 24 hours it was easy to resolve problems although required a trip downstairs. In summary, this hotel is great for someone planning a long weekend to Disneyland with the need for self catering. However, it was let down by the cleanliness and preparation by the staff. It didn’t quite have the feel of a 4 star hotel but overall helped us to have one of our best holidays.
