Not bad for the price.

Ninety dollars a night for a small (very small) room and bath in a great St. Germain des Pres location. Remodeled, clean bathrooms. Good, clean beds and linens. Crowds of partyers outside of dance clubs on the street below makes the smaller off-street rooms the best choice for those wishing to sleep before 2:00 or 3:00 AM

Treated Awful, Uncomfortable stay.

Posted 05-Apr-2015
I was really looking forward to staying at the Residence Saint Sulpice, unfortunately it left something to be desired. Our experience was pretty terrible. We arranged to meet Lara at the apartment hotel, when she walked up she said even though we had pre paid for our room she would be unable to accommodate us. She said because we had only booked for a two person occupancy that it was unacceptable to bring our 7 month old son into the room with us. She then went on and on about how could I have been so neglectful and that this was truly all my fault and it would not be her responsiblity to accommodate us. She said we would need to pay 60 Euros to upgrade to a larger room and that our son would have to have his own bed. He is 7 months old. She then said she would only be able to let us sleep there for two nights, not the three that we had already paid for. We paid the extra 60 euro because we had no where else to go and needed the room. She told me I needed to change the reservation immediately if I wanted my money back, the reservation can't be change per hotel policy! It would have to be cancelled then rebooked at the cost of one nights stay anyways. She argued about this with me. Next thing that happens; Stressed, tired and grumpy I decide to take a shower, water comes out scorching hot and the steam sets of the alarm, she comes up and yet again lectures me. When I asked about a fan she talked to me like I was stupid for not realizing to open the 9 foot window in the col

Perfect base for exploring the city!

The Residence St. Sulpice was just what we needed for our romantic getaway. We knew we would only use the room to sleep, so no frills was just fine. Sabine gave us a very warm welcome the first day. The room was clean, compact, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom always worked, and best of all, the location! Literally steps away from amazing restaurants, bars, sights, and shopping in St. Germain des Pres. I can understand some people might experience noise problems, but this was not an issue for us, maybe because there are fewer street crowds in the cold winter. Getting to and from the airport was a breeze using Metro+RER. Can't wait to go back!

Pros:

Great location, good compromise

The hotel is located in a great area of Paris. It was very quiet. I didn't meet any member of the stuff but my room was cleaned everyday except from the week-end (but I got a notice for that). The surprise is what they call single Apartment is nothing more than a double room!!! I would come back there as it's cheap for its location. If you are looking for a place to sleep then it's great but if you are looking for a comfort then it's not the place to stay in

Excellent location

Pros: The location was amazing. The cleaning staff was efficient.
Cons: Sound proofing would be amazing, a new mattress would make a significant difference in the quality of the stay & someway to keep the smoke out.
Location: Close proximity to the Pantheon, La Sorbonne, Luxembourg Gardens, Saint Sulpice, Notre Dame, Sainte-Chapelle, The Conciergerie.
The apartment is located in a great area of Paris which helps given that the walls are paper thin, the noise from outside and the neighbors is significant, the cigarette smoke wafts in at all hours and the mattress is well used and dips substantially in the center. It is close to major historic sites, the train and metro stations, excellent shopping and nice restaurants and markets. Be prepared to climb the narrow steps up to the room and know that a good nights is challenging without earplugs and you'll do fine.

Location: Located on a tiny back-street, lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance.
Tiny cracker box hotel--check desk is in a linen closet. Elevator can hold one (1) suitcase. Stairs narrow. Hotel is above a restaurant--noisy. Cook/dishwasher/etc. were yelling at each other past 2 am and banging pots, pans, plates etc. Sleep impossible. Room TINY. Bed nearly on floor. No heat or a/c controls in room. Bed is double bed. No clock/alarm. Hotel does not provide wake up call. WORST PLACE I'VE EVER STAYED WITH AN EXPEDIA RESERVATION. WOULD LIKE MY MONEY BACK.

Perfect location!

Fabulous location! It was close to great well priced resturants and the metro. It was nice having a small refrigerator/kitchen. It allowed us to save some money with great snacks and drinks. You really can't beat the price for the area. You feel more like a local than a tourist. We would stay here again!
