“Excellent - lived up to the reviews”
Pullman Paris Bercy is an excellent hotel to stay at when visiting Paris. It's not right in the middle of everything but there is a Metro station literally 2min walk away and the particular line this is on makes accessing everything very easy. The hotel in situated in a modern, quiet business district but in between the hotel and Metro station there is a nice collection of small shops, restaurants and a cafe or two. It's a very clean, safe feeling area if you are new to Paris. The hotel itself was very good value for money. Hotels closer to the centre of comparably high standard charge a lot more (a lot, lot more in some cases). The rooms (ours was Queen bed) have plenty of room - not 'US big' but definately bigger than your average hotel room, especially older hotels in the centre. Our room had a large bed with thick comfy sheeting etc, a couch, climate control, widerscreen tv, comp tea, coffee etc. The furnishings all felt pretty new and well kept - definately the feel of a hotel more expensive than it actually was. Overall I would say this is an excellent base to explore paris from.
“Modern hotel and great location”
Very impressed with Bercy Village. Nice, clean and modern area with many bars, cafe's and restaurants. The Pullman was very reasonably priced for a good sized room with breakfast and only 3 stops to Chatalet on the Metro means speedy access to the centre
“Blown away!”
When we turned up at the hotel, we were a bit confused, we'd paid 3/4 of the price of the room prices for a single night! Given it's 4 star rating and cost per night, we were happy to bypass the restaurant and breakfast which were exhorbitantly priced. Situated in the business district but with a nice boutique and bistro lined parade nearby, we thought the location was great. With the metro a 2 minute walk away, we found we could get to everywhere we wanted to very easily. If you're flying in to Paris Orly as we did the Paris Visite travel card is great. It comes in 2 versions, region 1 - 3 which covers central Paris and 1-6 which includes the outer suburbs and airport. Given that a single bus ticket from the airport was 6 euro and the travel card for 3 days was 20 euro, you can see that it's worthwhile to get it including the airport too, even if you're only staying locally. We didn't know this in advance so we did the bus.
“Good value and lovely location”
This hotel is wonderfully located, very close to the Metro, and beside it is a lovely range of shops, bars and restaurants, which meant you don't have to go into the city for dinner in the evening. Their care / facilities for babies in the room and at breakfast was super. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Room service is expensive (but that's to be expected) We will return.
“Paris's Bercy secret”
Excellent service from the second we arrived very helpful staff, large clean room, did not have enough time to utilise the free sauna, jacuzzi or steam room, we would definately return to this hotel.
“Nice place to stay”
The hotel was excellent, even though its not that close to the main attractions. Definitely have the breakfast buffet included - It was amazing! Dining in the hotel was expensive but there were several affordable resturants within a 2minute walk in Bercy village. Main attractions were 15-20min taxi ride from the hotel and there was also a train station about 5 minutes away. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful! Would recommend....
“Great Hotel”
We managed to get a good price with breakfast. hotel could not have been better. Breakfast is the best I've had on many business trips. Location is in a business area, but there is a group of shops, cafes and restaunants 1 minute from the hotel - all good. Metro only 3 minute walk and 10 minutes by train into centre of Paris.
“Pullman Bercy convenient and comfy”
The buffet breakfasts were excellent and they kept topping everything up, so even though busy, there was no need to get there early and they coordinated seating everyone excellently. Actually a short metro ride to the centre of Paris or the Gard Du Nord which is where we came from. Comfy beds and clean bathroom. Nice modern decor and definitely felt looked after by the staff who were very courteous and happily spoke English. I would stay here again and probably will sometime soon! Merci beaucoup! Did attempt to walk back from Centre to the hotel but it is not an attractive route, and quite far on foot, so you wont miss anything catching Metro.
“Lovely hotel, ok staff.”
the hotel itself is really lovely, the bedrooms very comfortable, the bar ridiculously expensive (6 euros for a cranberry juice) but it has a nice atmosphere. the only problem i really had was on checking out there was a 30 euro charge on my bill which had been selected when i wasn't even there! when i explained this the woman on the desk just rolled her eyes at me and said i must have selected it. some people might have just accepted the charge since it was quite embarassing having to explain 10 times that it wasn't my charge which isnt really fair. luckily for me i don't get embarassed easy but a little more understanding would have been nice.
“Does exactly what it says on the tin.”
We stayed at this hotel for two days as part of our trip to Paris. Trying to locate it on the map was not easy so we had to get two taxis from the station to take all the luggage for the party of six. When you arrive there you discover that it is actually only a short walk from the Metro so clearer directions would have been benficial. The hotel was very clean and clinical so it cannot be faulted on that front. It is convently located close to a small shopping village so it was easy to go out and get something to eat. We had requested a family room for two adults and two children and a second room for two adults and ended up with two rooms for three people. We had to take the sofa apart to find the third ready made bed - nobody explained this. We rang Housekeeping to ask for a quilt for each of the extra beds. When they didn't arrive after an hour we rang again and was told to ring Reception. We did this and the quilts still did not arrive so we managed without them. Not the most customer focussed of establishments but the staff around the Receiption were happy to answer questions. I would not go out of my way to stay here again but in fairness I cannot fault it either - just prefer a more responsive, friendlier service.
