“OK place to hang your hat,”
We (2 adults & 2 teenagers) booked a 4 day here. Booked 2 rooms which were quite OK. The hotel is a bit rough but for the price we feel it's worth it. I had sent a request for 2 rooms beside each other and reply was next day. The staff were helpfull and a little out of the way but we had a rental so that didn't make any difference. The beds were comfortable and room clean. It's own parking behind the hotel. We spent a day at Disney, and took the RER to Paris another day trip. Golf and shopping handy as well. Near hotel 2 restaurants owned by the same owner and a pizza take out. If your mobile a good reasonable base with free wireless from your room. Can be a bit noisy at night, carefull with the room doors, their pumps slam them shut with a serious Bang... If your looking for a base and are mobile a reasonable alternative. We wood use this hotel again...
“Budget but a little better than adequate!”
The hotel is around 22km from CDG airport and a taxi there took about 25mins and cost 60 euros. We arrived at the hotel at 2100, there's a 24 hour front desk. The reception staff during our stay were variable, the 2 guys were nice and quite helpful however both women receptionists were rude and unhelpful and spoke very little English. The breakfast is a good deal I suppose but not filling, they no longer do all you can eat instead you get a coffee, orange juice and a brioche roll for 2 euro 50 cents. The room was basic, would definately not be ok for a family but was ok for us. Room was clean as was the rest of the hotel. The hotel is 5 minutes away from Torcy train station on either the number 25 or 29 bus, this will cost you 1 euro 30 cents and the bus stop is literally outside hotel. Train from Torcy to Marnee la Vallee Parc Disneyland (2 stops) is about 6 euros return per person and takes roughly 10 minutes. Trains every 15 mins, buses every 15-30 mins depening on day of the week. There are a few places to eat near the hotel (KFC, McDonalds, Sushi) but you will have to walk down the road for 10-15 mins. Supermarket/shopping centre near Torcy station. I was actually pleasantly surprised by this hotel, i don't agree with what most of the other reviews say. Perfect for a young couple like us or for students, backpackers etc. For returning to CDG its cheaper to get the RER red line from Torcy - Chatelet les Halles then RER blue line to CDG this will only cost you 11 euros.
“Not Impressed!”
The room was so cramped.it was not suitable to accommodate a baby, as it was just a double bed and above that a bunk bed which was only suitable above 3yrs old. The bedding was very dated, the flooring was lino, and the walls seemed to have had slight mould. The table seemed to be falling apart. The worst part of all..the 'bathroom'. it was just like the ones on an aeroplane, or even a caravan..that small! You can hear doors banging all the time. There were no cupboards to hang your clothes just some hangers on the rail of the bed!. The staff were very rude and unhelpful, as was the manager. When we wanted to use the internet in the reception area we couldnt get it on, asked the manager for some assistance and he was rolling his eyes and huffing! Thats great customer service for you! Overall i would never stay there again if i was paid to. The room was cheap compared to others but still not worth the price. It did not meet the basic requirements i would expect from a hotel. It completely ruined our holiday. We soon realised it was a popular place for truck and van drivers who would arrive late at night and leave early in the morning. Which is probably about the only thing it is suitable for. I would not recommend this hotel for more than a nights sleep. After a long day walking around in central paris or disneyland, the hotel was the worst place to go back to relax.
“the letdown to the holiday...”
before booking, i read the other reviews on this hotel and though - these people are just being picky!?..surely it cant be that bad?...well it can!...the best way to discribe the rooms is either that cabin on a boat, a prison cell or as others said, a caravan....its really not big enough to swing a moggie!...regards the much commented on bathroom...just imagine a builders style portaloo stuck in the corner of the the hotel room and your not far wrong...you could if you wanted, sit on the toilet...have a shower and brush your teeth at the same time, it really is tiny and sorta stuck in the corner of the bedroom...all floors are uncarpeted and as a result you can hear every movement from other rooms above, below and to the side of you in adittion to any other noises they make (you could hear other people in the hotel snoring!?)....in addition im pretty sure the cleaners make as much noise in the morning to wake you up and get you out your room as fast as possable...so they can get done quicker...it really was the let down to the holiday, and wouldnt reccomend it to anyone.
“Cheap and Cheerful”
It was a step up from a hostel and the room was a little tired in its decor but otherwise very clean and well maintained. The continental breakfast was not worth the money but the free internet in the room was very useful and a nice convenience.
“not impressed”
not as expected-small bathroom, feel like in caravan.Lightning also not good-very dull
