Trendy, clean hotel near Charles De Gaulle Airport Posted 17-May-2015
This modern hotel has great potential: Clean, comfortable rooms, trendy decor, pleasant public spaces, great airport location, and very reasonable pricing. However, it falls far short in its level of service. We arrived somewhat late, around 8pm, exhausted from 2 weeks of driving around and touring France. So perhaps the service problems can be ascribed to the late check in, but this is an airport hotel. People come and go around the clock! First, there was no clear indication of where to go upon arrival, no lobby. As we stood in the atrium looking around for the check in desk, someone finally said it must be in the bar. Okay, a little unconventional for a modern airport hotel, but it doesn't explain why it took over 30 minutes to get our room key. The staff member who checked us in seemed to be working diligently so I can only assume that the process the hotel uses is ineffective. The true fiasco was when we tried to get something to eat. If I had it to do over, I'd walk the 5 minutes to nearby restaurants. We simply couldn't get waited on in the hotel restaurant so we moved to the bar, which still took forever. The food was okay, but the wait was absolutely unacceptable, over an hour. On the bright side, the breakfast buffet was well worth the money with a full array of choices including bacon, eggs, yogurt, fruit, cheese and meat. Really appreciated was a carafe of coffee delivered to our table. Checkout was a breeze and the drive to return the rental car was easy.
