“A buisiness traveller from the UK”

I found this hotel perfectly fine for a 1 night stay when I needed somewhere convenient for Gare du Nord during a business trip. Its a simple 5 minute walk from the station. Located on a narrow backstreet, the hotel and room was very clean, breakfast was fine with plenty of choices although it was an €11 extra. My room was small but typical of Parisien hotels in this price range. There are plenty of restaurants in the area, many of them catering for Eurostar tourist travellers with multilingual menus. However if you want something a little more querky and French, try Le Chineur Gourmand at 96 Rue d'Hauteville. This is a one minute walk from the hotel - turn left out the hotel door walk 100 yards to the road junction at the end of the street. Rue d'Hauteville is to the left of the very nice flower shop at the road junction and Le Chinuer Gourmand is immediately on the left. It opens for dinner at 7.30pm. A range of starters are priced at €6 and main courses are €14. There are also a range of desserts if you have space. Cooking is good, simple hearty traditional French. I had shellfish veloute followed by Duck breast in lemon and honey sauce served on a bed of creamy potatoes. With a 25cl carafe of red wine that came to €27. Take your phrase-book, the menu is in French on a chalkboard on the wall. :-)

“Hotel close to Gare du Nord”

This hotel offers good value and has a wonderful proximity to the Gare du Nord. I used it as an overnight stop when arriving on the Eurostar and it was walkable from the station. Polite reception staff, easy check-in and out with a clean, comfortable room which was good for the price. Also a reasonable continental breakfast selection and good advice offered for local amenities and onward travel. Would use again.

“Reasonable hotel near to Eurostar”

Overall relatively clean and functional hotel within 5 minute walk of Eurostar. On quiet side street so not disturbed for sleeping. They did change our room from a double to twin after we explained that was what we had requested (as we were two family females, not a couple), but only the next morning, not the night we arrived where the night security receptionist was rather abrupt and unhelpful. Day staff we found helpful and friendly. Twin room a good size and had kettle etc provided (not always standard in France!)

This hotel is a good enough hotel for those who would like to visit Pars. Since it is near Gare du Nord, it is very convenient to reach when arrived by train. It is very near the main metro lines with several stations nearby, it is a good choice as a place to stay. Do not expect too much of a service., but the service is good enough and the room is clean. For Paris, it is a good place to stay.

It's central, it's Paris, the rooms are small. Very convenient location for Gare du nord and Gare de l'est but unless you are looking to use these stations there are probably better hotels/locations in Paris

“Good Hotel for Short Stay”

Choose this hotel because it was within walking distance of the Gare du Nord which is on the airport train line.A market and supermarket in the same street and plenty of restaurants nearby. Staff friendly and helpful. Slightly out of the centre of Paris, but easily accessible by Metro. We had a family room (1 double and 2 singles) which was clean, but very small. Good hotel for a couple of nights.

Paris Est Lafayette is a simple but comfortable hotel, just a few minutes walk from the Gare du Nord, and the Gare de l'Est, and easy to get to other parts of paris

“Great Location for Eurostar train”

Hotel is within easy walking distance of Gard de Nordic Rail Station and Eurostar train to London. Neighborhood is a little seedy, however if you take the appropriate precautions, you will be fine. Plenty of restaurants/bars/fast food places in the neighborhood. Rooms in hotel are a little tired and are small, however for a short stay are very adequate. Watch out for cyclists on the footpath, and watch out for pedestrian signs at traffic lights. You need to look at the pedestrian light closest to you before stepping onto street.
