“We got a transfer”

Hotel was in intimidating neighbourhood and was in poor condition although was being renovated at the time. My daughter and her family were on a separate floor where the the work was being done and they were the only ones on that floor. We booked this hotel because of swimming pool for children but it was out of order. That being said, we complained and asked for a transfer which was handled very well and they transferred us to Novotel Aulnay sur Bois providing a minibus to transport us . Cannot fault the staff as they were very understanding and helpful and I am happy to say the new hotel was fine and the pool in working order. We lost a few hours getting sorted out but we enjoyed our holiday in the end. Le bourget will improve when the work is completed and would be a reasonable base for adults to stay on business or sightseeing but I would not recommend this hotel for families with young children.

Getting around

Buy a paris visite card before you go for unlimited travel on metro, railway and buses. You purchase the card for the amount of days required and it saves money and time.

“Never Again”

This hotel was completely not what I expected. I figured Novotel would be decent, since back home in Ottawa it is. First of all it is way too far out of downtown Paris, it is in a terrible location, was forced to walk an hour and half to find it because no one knew where it was, and no taxi could be found because it was that terrible of a neighborhood, which was quoted by a local. To make matters worse we were woken up at 8am to construction and when phoning the front desk they basically said "too bad so sad." I was forced to leave the hotel and spend more money on a different hotel, which was ranked less in terms of 'stars' and it was way better. Definitely do not ever go here!
