“Really Satisfied!”

I would like to go back to this hotel again next time I visit Paris.

“Great hotel and great service”

My wife and I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and were absolutely delighted with it. The hotel is on a busy street and there are lots of places to eat and drink to suit all tastes. The room was small but very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The stay was made even more enjoyable with the staff always pleasant and offering help and assistance regarding recommendations for travel, eating places, etc. We even had our boarding passes printed for the return flight. In summary, a great little hotel at very reasonable prices, with very helpful staff. One not to be missed!

This is a great wee hotel. Would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good wee budget hotel in a great location

“Truly a hidden jewel”

I could sum it up in only two words, "Stay here!" Freindly service, impeccably clean and more than well maintained. Rooms are typical European sized, but very comfortable, in great part to the hotel and room looking like it was newly renovated in it's entirety. You could tell the owners/operators pay attention to the 'small' things. Some could argue the area isn't the best, but certainly not the worst. Short walk to Gare du Nord, Sacre Coeur... bit longer to Arc du Triomphe, Champs Elysee, for us was a reasonable walk to city centre (you gotta walk Paris, too beautiful and too much detail in architecture/monuments to bus/Metro around!) Spring the measly extra 12 euro per night to stay here instead of the usual skanky Paris hotels. Well worth the bit extra...

“Nice Hotel, nice staff...”

The hotel was really clean, the staff were very pleasant and it was really well located. They even didn't get annoyed when we bombarded them with questions about where we should go. If we go back to Paris we'll definitely stay there again....

“Would definitely stay again”

The hotel is conveniently located - it turned out to be within longish walking distance of the Louvre, Musée d'Orsay, Notre Dame etc. The area is great with lots of bistrots, boulangeries, shops (even a useful hardware shop), bars etc etc; two metros within minutes and more just a little further away (tip: buses run direct from the Gare du Nord and save having to dive into the metro); check the RATP web site for all the numbers). The room had a nice bed, no tea/coffee, TV already tuned to UK TV (!), very little room to sit down (no armchair etc, but the room was probably too small for this). View was of the courtyard, very quiet (some rooms overlook the street, which has some traffic) The €8 breakfast was fine and included cereal as well as unlimited tea and coffee, nice big croissants etc. Served in a (reasonably nice) basement room with TV on showing French TV news (useful to me as I am doing French classes); lots of alternatives locally if you want to try something else. The guy on the desk spoke reasonable English and was extremely helpful in pointing out both Metro routes and walking routes to the museums. Colourful décor with a cat theme (but no live cats - they are now living chez the owner, because of allergy issues etc). All very clean, well maintained, lift to all floors. What else can we say?

“Small but perfectly formed”

The monte carlo is very easy to find, a 15 minute walk from Gare Du Nord and placed well for walking around Monmatre and Pigalle. I booked an ensuite double, which was small, but clean and the bed was very comfortable. Good shower too. I found hotel staff very friendly and informative and happy to look after our luggage before check in time and for the rest of the day after check out. There was a bit of noise in the morning from departing guests, but nothing too much. I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning a short stay in Paris, although probably not if you have children.

“Monte Carlo”

I really enjoyed my stay at the Monte Carlo. The staff were polite and attentive. The room was clean, tidy and had everything I would expect. They got our room wrong at first (twin instead of a double), but were happy to rectify it. I would definitely stay there again.

“Central and (fairly) cheap for Paris”

Stayed four nights at this small hotel about 15 minutes walk from the Eurostar terminal at Gare du Nord. It's in a central, but slightly run down part of town; excellent restaurants nearby and the major shops of Opera (Printemps, Galeries Lafayette) are also close by. The hotel is simple - we had a small room (double bed and about 3 feet on each side) with bathroom (note some rooms share bathrooms), but it is well decorated and clean as well as being exceptionally quiet - enough to sleep with the window open and not hear very much! Recommended on Trip Advisor and I'd recommend it here too.

“Great for a mini-break”

Excellent hotel for the price - a much better experience than spending the same or more on a budget chain hotel.
