Pleasant stay in Paris

Posted 20-Aug-2014
Location: Rue de Montparnasse (lots of creperies) - excellent location for breakfast. Metro station Vavin is just around the corner.
The hotel was nice and in very convenient area, close to the Metro and to the little street dotted with creperies - Rue de Montparnasse. The hotel staff is welcoming, and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Paris, especially if it is for the first time.

Excellent European Hotel With Very Pleasant Staff

Posted 20-Aug-2014
The room was large for a European hotel with a moderate bathroom as well. AC functioned well which is a huge plus for staying in Europe in August. My room had a small balcony that was another plus. Excellent location among plenty restaurants and nearby Metro M4 stop. Although I did not have questions for the day staff, I saw them advising other visitors of where to go and how to get there including making phone calls to check on pricing and availability. My favorite part of the stay was relaxing in the lobby lounge at the end of the day with endless tips from the night desk clerk/concierge. He was more than willing to give me tips on how to enjoy Paris, including researching on his PC to give me printed details and directions. I am terrible with names and have forgotten his.

Hotel over rated

Posted 04-Aug-2014
Pros: Location and the helpful female receptionists
Cons: See above. Hotel needs a revamp.
On the positves the hotel is in a good location and we found the female staff in particular to be very helpful. We had asked for a quiet room away from the elevators and what do we get is a room right by the elevator! Noisy and cramped is how we would describe the rooms. Not only that we could also hear the amorous couple in the room above going for it in the early evening and through the night. When we paid to upgrade the room as the room originally given was also so small and pokey we were given a room with broken tiles in the bathroom

Best location but the rooms are small

Posted 31-Jul-2014
Location, location and location - the major plus. Close to many restaurants, cafes and bars. Room size - smaller than expected. Bed - conformable. Room decor - old, needs improvement. Shower - had minor problems Overall - ok

Beautiful memory in Paris

Posted 23-Jul-2014
Pros: The location is fantastic.
Location: The hotel is on Metro Line 4, which connects to many interesting sites in Paris, extremely convenient.
Hotel Lenox is in excellent location, the heart of Paris. Mins walk to the Metro VAVIN station, and countless nice restaurants, cafes and pastry shops around the hotel. One min walk from the hotel is the supermarket where you can get daily fresh French fruits and vegetable as supplement, which is important for us when travel. The hotel staffs were very accommodating to all the requests we made. The room was small but very comfortable, air-conditioning ran very quiet with constant temperature at 22C. For a 3-star hotel, it was to our great satisfaction.

Nice Hotel in the Heart of Montparnasse

Posted 20-Jul-2014
Pros: Location and Staff
Cons: Nothing
Great staff and wonderful location near great cafes, bakeries, cheese stores, delis etc. Clean rooms on the small side, but big enough unless you plan on spending a lot of time in the room.

Good hotel near 2 metro lines.

Posted 20-Jul-2014
Cons: It needs some renovations. There were old tiles in the bathroom and some of them were cracked. The furniture is old and the decor was gloomy.
Location: Close to two different metro lines. Made it easy to get around Paris, we did not use a taxi at all, even going to the airport.
The hotel was good. It's very close to two Metro lines which made easy access to all the major attractions. It is a clean hotel but very small room, as we could hardly fit our suitcase anywhere. The hotel is older and dated, it does need some renovations. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We were also thankful that it was air conditioned as it was extremely hot in Paris during our stay.
