“Great Paris location”

My daughter and I had a vacation of a lifetime in Paris largely due to location of this hotel. The hotel is almost dead center Paris and walking distance to most tourist attractions. I cannot walk and used a manual wheelchair while staying in Paris. The room had a huge roll in shower and a grab bar by the toilet which was adequate but could have been longer. Due to my handicapped condition I had to pay top dollar for the excutive room. My only other complaint would be several silverfish which made themslves known at night in the bathroom, however I have spotted a few in my own newly remodeled, clean bathroom so it's hard to fault the hotel. I would definately stay there again if given the chance.

“Paris 2011”

Our stay at the L'Empire was fantastic..the room was great, clean, spacious and comfortable. (superior room) Ipod dock in room. The bar was a great place to relax and have a drink and listen to good music. Simson, Tiego and Stephan were great bartenders and very friendly to talk to. The breakfast was wonderful, Sonya was my favorite, she even made me cammanille tea when I wasn't feeling well. Armon and the others were very knowledgeable of the area and the restaurants. I would highly recommend this hotel for your Paris visit. Nicely located in a great area and the metro is very close.

Area recommendations
All of Paris is recommended. Go down the little side streets and discover the small shops, cafes and restaurants. Shopping is great.

“Well located, great service and decor”

Very near the Metro, great location. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are small but very clean and nicely decorated. Highly recommend

“Great Paris experience!”

We visited Paris for two nights during our honeymoon and had a great experience at this hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and all spoke English exceptionally well. They answered all of our tourist questions and gave great information. The room was a little small, but that is expected in Europe. The bed was very comfortable and location was prime! We definitely would stay here again and recommend it to others traveling to Paris.

“Great Location and Service”

Loved the hotel and location. Central to most places and the staff were very helpful and easy to deal with. Would stay there again. Definitely take advantage of their breakfast.

“Would definitely return”

I was extremely happy staying at L'Empire. Service was excellent and front desk staff were more than happy to speak English. Room and bathroom were large, by Parisian standards, and of good quality. My room was in the basement, looking out on a small garden, and extremely quiet. Location was great being 5-10 mins walk to The Louvre with good restaurants/bars in the immediate vicinity. There was also a coin operated laundry around the corner which was very useful. Breakfast was served in the bar area and whilst this was somewhat small, the food selection was excellent and included hot and cold selections. I would definitely return to this hotel.

Getting around
The hop-on/hop-off buses were excellent. Purchasing a 2 or 3-day pass will allow you to see most of the city leisurely and the onboard commentary, available in several languages via headphones, provides valuable facts and history.

“Perfect Paris Hotel”

The hotel is upscale but affordable and room service! Even without those bonuses the location is perfect!! Right by the Louve and Notre Dame and stations right there to easily explore the city. You will not get a better location than this. When we returned from the Riviera they upgraded us to a beautiful sweet with a balcony, no extra charge! So posh!

Area recommendations
District 1. It's the center and most sites are within walking distance. The subway is easy to navigate so nothing is too far.
When to go
September, perfect weather and just a hair past the peak season so a little more affordable.

“L'Empire Paris exceeded our expectations!”

After reading other reviews, I was not expecting things to go smoothly at L'Empire Paris. Boy, was I wrong! This hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was much bigger than expected (other places we have stayed in Europe were much smaller). The staff at the reception desk were INCREDIBLE! There was absolutely no communication barrier - they got us exactly where we needed to be, gave excellent recommendations for sight-seeing and meals. Breakfast in the hotel was just what we needed to start our busy days and gave us a great sample of french cuisine. I can't say enough about the location. Two blocks from the Louvre! We took hop on/hop off tours that were based at the Louvre. I would recommend this location for any traveler that wants to be close to everything. We walked for miles, not realizing how far we were straying. Love the staff and love the hotel!
