“Ideally located for Paris and Disney”
I stayed in one room with my 3 children. The room was clean and tidy, but the wardrobe was tiny, we only managed to put in 3 jackets and lived out of suitcases for 4 days. The breakfast is an optional extra and consisted of a continental breakfast which was pleasant. We had one evening meal in the restaurant which was to a high standard. Across the road is a commercial centre with several restaurants and a cinema complex. A large supermarket is 5 mins walk away. The train station is 5 mins walk from the hotel. The train comes every 10/15 minutes and goes direct to Disney or Paris city centre. The hotel was excellent for what we wanted, a clean tidy base in a convenient location. The hotel was quiet and the breakfast/restaurant area was quite and calm. I would go back, excellent value for money and an ideal location.
“DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY”
Smoke in rooms, bugs on walls, smells, rude staff, no heating, disgusting. Will not recommend. The only reason for my 1 rating is because there is no option for a zero rating. Rubbish !!!!!!!
“Good Location on a budget”
We are a family of 5, 2 are teenagers. Stayed in one room! A bit tight, but only there to sleep. Had to live out of suitcases as nowhere to unpack into! Location great, train 3 minute walk, Carrefour in shopping centre right next door. Used Carrefour to buy baguettes and butter every morning to make lunch (2 euros a day for a family of 5!) Also bought multipacks of drinks to put in each of our rucksacks, cost around 4 euros a day, again in Paris, can pay 3 euros per drink!. Vendors in Paris, Like London, charge over the top for anything. Carrfefours, cheapest fuel for miles, worked out out £1.21 per litre diesel, at a time when tesco in uk are at £1.38. Used train for Paris eveyday using a Paris Visite Card each, and Museum passes, got these over the internet 2 weeks before and sent to home address for £9, but never had to asked in my limited French for these, if i knew where to get them!. Book Effiel Tower before you go. From the time we arrived, to the time we hit the top floor - 3hours!! Lourve needs 4 to 5 hours even with kids, go in via Train station, queue outside looked to be an hour long. Musee D'orsay wouldn't bother!
“Good for a budget trip to Eurodisney”
Location seemed a nightmare - two hours' travel from Charles de Gaulle and reception staff were a bit glum, but after a good night's rest, we were off to Disneyland - great location for this, only 3 metro stops away and because it's outside of the immediate parks area, a fraction of the cost. Restaurant food was really, really good and reasonably priced. Restaurant staff were really nice, charming and friendly. We did spend two days in Paris itself, and the location's really not good for that - but you can't have it both ways - if you want to do Disney and Paris centre. Feels like staying in a very residential area however a large shopping centre with good shops and large supermarket is across the road - the supermarket restaurant, "Casino" does surprisingly good food. Hotel room was very clean, if a little cramped, with 3 single beds squeezed in, but overall, can't really complain - and would definitely go back.
“excellent location, easy links for paris and disney!”
Hotel was basic but clean and excellent service. It was great value having a room for our family of five. Plenty bed space, little floor and storage space though. I found the location particularly good. You could see the hotel sign from the station. Excellent links for disney (10mins away) and Paris centre(30mins). I would recommend a Paris Visite card for the RER service which you can use from the airports for however many days you need (take care to get upto zone 6 if needed for airport and disney). Lots of good eating places on the hotels doorstep. Although the hotel evening meal was excellent quality at an affordable price, we ate here twice and would have again.
“Too far out from CDG and Paris”
Went to this hotel because of the rates and not realizing how far the commuting would be. With respect to my budget, it seemed like I wasn't getting very much for my money from any hotels in Paris. The Torcy neighborhood is Ok and the hotel is a 5 minute walk from the metro. It is also 30 minutes from Paris by metro, however it is about an hour and a half from CDG airport (and cost about 45 euros for 2 people by GARE to Torcy). The metro can be fairly expensive for frequent visits to Paris so you may want to consider buying a pass. The hotel offers breakfast for an additional fee which is mostly bread, crossaints, toast, coffee and juice. We had a small triple room with 3 single beds and a very small bathroom. The beds were hard. But it seems like alot of the hotels in Europe have hard beds. Fortunately this hotel has an elevator and the area was quiet at night.
“No frills”
A good option for a no frills stay close to Disneyland as the rooms for 5 made this a good deal. Rooms pretty crammed with small bathrooms but you get what you pay for. Slightly annoyed to be awoken at 5am by a school party leaving on mass, but beds were comfy so I managed to get back to sleep! Wouldn't recommend Torcy as a tourist destination but a useful stop off for Disney.
“:)”
- Extremely friendly, helpful, English speaking staff. - Big comfy bed! Clean room, tea and coffee facilities etc. - 2mins from RER station - 10 mins from disney (which is sooo much fun!) - 50 mins to Eiffel tower and easy to get to many other attractions in the centre - A street of restaurants across the road with loads of different types of food. -Huuuge shopping centre and Carefour (supermarket) 10 seconds from Hotel .....Basically- did the job perfectly!
“Good location for a Disney trip”
If, like us, you are not too keen on the hustle and bustle of Paris centre then this hotel is ideal. A 5 minute walk from the station, and with trains coming to either Paris centre or Disneyland every few minutes it was perfect. Restaurant, at our time of stay, do a set menu with typical french style food, and the meal we had was very nice. Rooms are a bit small with no real hanging space, but we knew this before hand. Would definately use again.
“Excellent Value”
Clean, comfy rooms, small yes, but none the less well equipped.Staff were very helpfull and friendly. Hotel is ideal for exploring Disney or Paris. We ate in the Brasserie on the last night and the food was really good.Would stay again without hesitation
