“Nice but not quite”
The staff was very helpful and the rooms were well decorated and for the most part clean. However when we went down for breakfast one morning there were no tables available to have breakfast. We had to wait for a table to become available and eventually after waiting around for a while we were offered breakfast in our room. Furthermore, even though they have room service it is very expensive and not worth the money you pay for it.
“great if you're on a budget”
Hotel was nice, but concierge didn't tell us the Louvre was closed on a Tuesday after having given us directions! Only 2-3 minutes from nearest Metro. Good value.
“A gem!”
Location is second to none; right beside a busy French market, many local restaurants serving excellent food within 5 minutes walking distance and the Metro only a couple of minutes away. Staff helpful and friendly; excellent English spoken. Slightly disappointed that the tea and coffee in the room were not replenished on a daily basis (but then again we didn't ask for more; I'm sure it would have been provided had we done so). Bathroom very clean; lots of hot water available at all times. We didn't use room service but the option was a good one to have. Wouldn't hesitate to return, and plan to do so in the spring.
“"would use again and great location"”
Great location as metro was only 5 mins walk away . The neighbourhood was really nice with small market most days .The staff at hotel were very friendly .Would use this hotel again and recomment to others .
“Business Traveller”
Hotel was nicely located in a lively neighbourhood with several shops and a market a street away, but at the same time was nice and quiet at night. The staff were very nice, the room quite adequate and the breakfast basic but perfectly fine. I would stay here again as it was overall a pleasant hotel.
“Location and reception staff ok, but everything else...”
Positive - Location is excellent. Neighborhood is ok, street very quiet. Reception staff is polite and helpful, I must mention Laurent who helped a lot, if you need any advice or recommendation they will provide you with a lot of information. Negative - Our room was not properly cleaned for all 9 days of our stay. Spider and his net is probably hotel`s pet as they remain untouched in the ceiling corner, dust is everywhere, if you have allergy this could be a real problem. All our things in bathroom and on tables were scatterd, nothing was on the place where we left it, day after day. Our room was in basement which was unconvenient, if you open the window you can shake hands with every passer-by, and you cannot be comfortable to leave open window during the night. Blankets on beds are terrible, they are not even put in covers but only sheet separate you from that awful thing. Room is small even for European standards, open the door and can jump on bed, not enough storage place also. Breakfast is the worst I ever had and I travel a lot and are not too demanding. Toaster is disgusting, rusted and dirty as most things. There is very, VERY limited choice. If there is not enough of cheese or jam and you ask for it lady will bring you one piece and put it in your hand, no chance to supply more on the serving table for others. They are obviously instructed to save the food as much as they can. This hotel on web site and in reality are very different, I will not be back for sure.
“Good value for money”
This is a really good hotel for a low price. The only two things I think they could improve: the breakfast is a bit poor (but enough to be honest). Also we had towels with some dodgy spots. Again, nothing major! Overall the hotel is really cute, clean and the staff is nice.
“Excellent value for money would go back there again”
On arriving at the hotel later in the evening we struggled to get something to eat around the area since it was 11.30pm and most bistro's and restuarants where closing. The area around the hotel not bad very quite more of a residential area. The hotel itself was basic but clean, beds where made each morning along with room being tidied, Since we only used the room for sleeping the room was sufficent. Breakfast in the morning was fine and plenty of choice to choose from. I would stay there again it was 10 to 15 min walk to Arch de triumph and nearest metro 5 mins away.
“Great location, great staff”
Great value, too. Rooms are normal sized for a Paris 3 star hotel, the breakfast is very nice and the metro is 2 blocks away. Next street over is a market street with fresh veg, fruit, bakeries, cafe's and other wonderful shops. Two lines run at this metro station so getting anywhere is fast and easy. Grouchy staff at that metro info station but the hotel staff is very helpful with suggestions for tickets and passes for the metro. There are great restaurants just steps away from the hotel. Would stay there again with out hesitation.
“Paris is Great city”
Jardin de Villiers was a very nice hotel and would stay there again, parking was a bit inconvienient but parking is in short supply so wasnt stressed over that too much. Was very good location staff good breakie ok but nothing to get excited about.
