We stayed in several other ibis hotel is in Paris in the past. Actually over 10 years ago. This property has it listed next to Gard de Lyon Station. But in fact, it’s about one mattress topper way still pretty close. But not walkable very easily.
What I liked about the property is that it was between two metro stations-the Line 1 was the only station we used and it gave good connections to everywhere. Many of the stops we wanted to go we’re right on the Line 1 Metro.
I will say having stayed at at least a dozen Ibis hotels around the world, The ram in this property was one of the smallest I’ve ever been in. Another negative is that the entire block across the street is being built pretty condos and they started grinding and drilling starting around 8 o’clock in the morning. Not a problem press because you’re ready to hit the road. But if you’re a late sleeper, this might be a distraction.
Also, unlike most of the Ibis hotels I’ve stayed at before, the management at this property it was a little aloof. Also there was a bit of a communication problem.
Just outside the front door to the right around the corner has a small grocery store to get your water, other items. And just outside of the entrance for the metro line 1 o’clock there is a fantastic bakery and pastry shop that’s always doing to good crowd.
My general thoughts are and if I go back to Paris I probably would look at another property within central Paris there’s plenty of other Ibis properties.
