“Great Location, and great price.”

My wife and I chose this hotel for our honeymoon, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff was friendly, and while the rooms are small by US standards, they were comfortable, and we never were left wanting for any amenities. The metro has an outlet on either side of the hotel making for a very easy access to anything in Paris. And, the neighborhood is in the Latin section, which gave us access to some incredible food and great little hangouts locally.

Area recommendations
Paris is an amazing city, and the area I'd recommend most would be the Metro... Seriously, if you are staying get an all access pass to it and you won't be upset, everything is easily accessed from one of the stations and learning to maneuver the system was one of best parts of the trip for us. Within a day we were moving like locals. Latin quarter for food.

“An excellent base for a short Paris stay”

We stayed here for 4 nights. We did not need to stay in the lap of luxury but wanted reasonable room facilities in a convenient location. The room was on the smallish side, but the bed was large and comfortable and the bathroom excellent (bath not for the large though). The staff were friendly and helpful- but I have not given it a higher mark as we did not used the facilities much. The location is excellent: about 15 mins walk from the Pantheon and 20/25 from the Musee de Cluny. Notre Dame, Jardin de Luxembourg and Jardin des Plantes are within easy walking distance. It is right on the Metro (Place Monge is 2 mins walk) and 3 minutes from all the small lively restaurants and bars in the Rue Mouffetarde and the Place Contrescarpe. We would recommend it very highly

Getting there
We travelled Eurostar from London- simply excellent. Quick, comfortable and very efficient. 2 hrs 30 mins from St Pancras to Gare de Nord. Getting from Gare de Nord to the hotel on Metro (via Line 5 to Place d'Italie and change to Line 7 north to Place Monge ) only takes about 20 minutes. Buy a pack of metro tickets at St Pancras as you wait for the train.

“neat, small, and personable”

Nice, quite, tiny hotel, very personable and friendly, It is right in the university area and Latin Quarter, a block away from Rue Mouffetard one of Paris' liveliest market streets. The subway (metro) is steps away from the hotel. They offer taxi service to the airport (CDG), however, I took the metro, which is reasonably convenient. I would always come back. Merci beaucoup et a bientot.

“Paris on a Budget”

The hotel was nicely located near a Metro stop. The surrounding neighborhood was charming. The hotel itself was not anything to brag about. It was a smaller hotel with only 5 rooms per floor. It did have an elevator to use which is nice if you stay on the 5th floor. The room was decent size for a hotel in Europe. The bathroom was spacious and had a built in hair dyer which my wife loved. Its a great hotel if you are trying to save money and don't mind being a little farther away from the Eiffel Tower.

Getting around
There were 3 metro stops within 15 min walking distance. The metro is easy to use once you get the hang of it. Paris is compact enough to walk around and see the major sites. It is a beautiful city, but if you want to save your legs, the metro is the way to go.

“Paris Perfection”

This was the sixth and final hotel of my European trip, and, even compared to several higher end hotels in other cities, it was by far my favourite. It was the perfect place to stay for my first time in Paris. Small, charming, and well situated. My single room was on the top floor and featured doors onto a wee balcony. The view was lovely. The room was small but very clean and had everything you need. The staff were very helpful, and I particularly appreciated the map of the city with the hotel marked on it. Breakfast was included, and it was delicously French... strong coffee, croissants and jam. Excellent wifi. I will definitely visit Paris again, and will request the same room.

Area recommendations
A lovely neighbourhood, close to the Jardins de Plantes, and the Arab Institute. Twenty minute walk to Notre Dame. Lots of nice shops, bakerys, cafes, and banks within blocks of the hotel. Felt completely authentic and safe.

“Nice hotel in a good location in Paris with a helpful english speaking staff”

Hotel St. Christophe is located in the latin quarter of Paris and is within walking distance of Grande Galerie d'Evolution and Menagarie des Jardin des Plantes. Also nearby are Pantheon and Sorbonne. It is a bit far from the other sites which require the use of the excellent Paris transportation system (Driving would really be a bad idea, as the traffic is usually very heavy in the city and parking is a nightmare.). A "Carnet" (karn-ay) of 10 single-use tickets for the subway costs €12.00. This is a small hotel which is well maintained and has several staff members who speak excellent english. Breakfast is available at the hotel and at several nearby locations. The staff members were quite helpful. The room was clean. It was bit small by American standards, however, it was quite adequate for our needs. Select a different hotel if you are interested in booking a room with accessibility features. overall it was a very nice small hotel and I would be happy to stay agin if we return to Paris.

Area recommendations
If mpbility is a problem a larger hotel with handicap accessibility is required along with a more central location. Otherwise it was a great visit.

“Great Paris Hotel”

This hotel was all that I anticipated it would be. Reception was very welcoming and helpful, especially when we were having difficulty getting into our email. The room was a little larger than we had expected as our previous European hotel rooms have been smaller. Had a nice corner room and even though it was rather warm when we arrived, the fan in the - and cross ventilation really made the room comfortable. NIce bathroom with great shower. The breakfast was quite tasty and very ample with a good selection of food. Close to subway and walking distance to major areas. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Area recommendations
I love the area where this hotel is situated (5th arr./Contrescarpe) as it is close to small cafe's and shops.
