Very nice hotel near metro

Posted 23-Apr-2015
Pros: Rooms were quite large and comfortable. We were also delighted to see king size beds. It was great to have a lovely breakfast to start our day.
Cons: Hotel is under renovation so its difficult to judge without seeing the finished project.
Location: Metro is very close so its easy to get anywhere, Eiffel Tower, Louve, Notre Dame, shopping etc.
Easy to find. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful with navigating the city, &giving recommendations and were always pleasant. They even helped us check in for our flights and print boarding passes. Breakfast buffet was also lovely. Plenty of good choices.

Well located to explore Paris, good area for shops

Posted 23-Apr-2015
Pros: Our rooms were fine obviously just refurbished and the staff were courteous and helpful. also well positioned in an interesting part of the city.
Cons: I'm sure when the work is completed it will be a very pleasant place to stay.
Location: We used the L'Open tour hop on...hop off bus the stop only about 500 metres away. Most major attractions within walking distance.
We booked 3 rooms for 5 people. When we arrived it was apparent the hotel was under refurbishment. There was no air conditioning, No evening meal available, 8 o'clock in the morning building work started. One of the rooms had no hot water so our friend had to use one of ours. Sleeping was difficult as the nights we hot due to the weather and finally to add stress the Safety box in my our room jammed with all my travel documents in. It took over 3 hours to open constituting in me just making the Eurostar train at The Gare du Nord with 5 minutes to spare thanks to a great taxi driver. We liked the hotel but were not pleased about not knowing it was under renovation when we booked. Our confirmation numbers were 2808089, 2808090 and 2808087.I put that I would not recommend this hotel now but when the work is completed I'm sure it would be fine, but not at the moment.

Nice Hotel shame about the renovation work!!

Posted 22-Apr-2015
Pros: Looks like it will be good when they have finished.
Cons: Tell people about the work that is going on it is very disruptive.
Location: very handy for the Grande Boulavardes and good access to the Metro.
We would not have booked if we had known it was being renovated. No-one likes to be woken by drilling at 0830!! Aircon turned off due to electrical work, can't open windows, workmen outside!!

Great location, shame about the builders

Posted 21-Apr-2015
Pros: Huge, comfy bed, good location.
Cons: It would have been useful if the hotel had a restaurant.
Location: Not far away from a busy main street, lots of shops and bars. 15 mins walk from L'Opera and Galleries Lafayette and close to the Metro.
Great location, nice room and very friendly staff. It was just a shame to be woken up every morning buy the sound of builders starting work on the hotel's refurbishment. This was not mentioned when I booked but it would have been good to know. The buildng work continues until Sep 15.

Great location, under heavy renovation.

Posted 20-Apr-2015
Pros: Location, friendly staff and general aminities.
Cons: I believe it will be much nicer once renovation is complete but be more accommodating while it is occurring.
Location: This is without a doubt a great location for the price. Great coffee, dinning and shopping close by. Only about a 25 min. walk from Gare Du Nord train
Location of hotel was great. Felt safe and shopping as well as restaurants close by. Room amenities were good and the coffee was delicious for instant. The floor in our room was stained and very dirty. I mean you could see the dirt and hair balls on the floor. the hotel was under a major over haul so I won't discredit them on de core but the noise was very bad. Air chisels and workers on scaffolding outside your window loud. This fortunately was strictly an 8-5 mon-fri occurrence so we did not hear it all that much but when started you made sure you were on your way out. We let the hotel staff know of these deficiencies and I know the noise was something hard to avoid but the cleanliness could have been addressed and even a change of room as we had the "upgraded" version or executive suite. This by the way was located right beside the stairwell so it added to the noise in the evening. Also be sure and put towels in the tub and not on the floor as you will not get clean ones if you do not. They have a buffet but at $20 a head the local shops are better. Way better.

Buona posizione tra tante pecche

Posted 18-Apr-2015

absolutely loved this place, although we lost our luggage for the first 3 days the hotel staff were very responsive and quick on chasing up our luggage, special mention to Christian who checked us in and took extra time making sure our stay was as smooth as possible and helping us with the lost luggage! the rooms were big and spacious as were the bathrooms too! very secure too! easily recommend this place and stay here again! keep up the good work!

Under renovations/refurbishment

Posted 17-Apr-2015
Pros: The front desk staff were always helpful.
Location: This was a convenient location, usually one or two metro lines away from just about anything you'd want.
It was disappointing, in April 2015, to turn down our street in a taxi to find that the only building with scaffolding for as far as the eye could happened to be our hotel. Had we known that at the time, we would not have booked with this hotel. With building equipment in the lobby, construction sounds (read: loud) happening from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, you sometimes feel like you're in a construction zone (you are!). When we checked in, the first room had a very distinct odour to it, the smell of dirty socks. We were moved to another room, without any fuss, which proved to smell better and was somewhat larger. The desk clerk, with a good move on his part, arranged for us to move to a renovated room after one night. The renovated rooms are very nice--what I expected originally of a four-star hotel. Once the renos are finished here, and all the rooms and lobby are upscaled, it could be a nice experience. Until then, you'll have to put up with old carpet, holes in walls and the sound of refurbishment around you.
