“Very Satisfied”
Nice little hotel. Found staff very helpful. Room was nice and bed very comfortable. Only a few minutes easy walk to Notre Dame and the tourist hop on/off buses. Would definitely stay there again.
“Will be back again, the hidden gem in the latin quarter!”
Returned to this hidden gem after previous visit last year. Quiet and very comfortable room, but most central hotel with all the amenities you need, especially for a much needed 'recharge' break, long weekend or romantic stay! A must for Paris lovers!
“Excellent, friendly, local.”
This was our fourth visit to this hotel and we have been consistently pleased with the reception, the friendliness and helpfulness of staff as well as the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms. It is a small hotel, tucked away from the main tourist routes and remarkably quiet given its location. However, it is ideally situated for our needs and would happily reccomend it to any visitor to Paris.
“Great Location But Not a Great Hotel”
We chose this Hotel based on the recommendations. The location is great - but we were very disappointed with the Hotel given its high price. At that price, I would have expected more polish and professionalism. Breakfast should have been included at that price, but there was an extra 14 Euro charge (so we ate elsewhere). The room was only "ok" (didn't look anything like the pictures), although free WiFi is a bonus. The washroom was a good size and included a bath tub. The staff were hit and miss. There seems to be quite a competition among them with respect to booking excursions - to the point of them almost being rude if we booked with a different staff member. When we asked if we should book a taxi for our excursion to the Lido, they said definitely, but they didn't explain that if we reserved, the fare started at 12 Euro before you pulled away from the Hotel. I will try a different Hotel for our next trip to Paris.
“Wonderful location”
I was extremely happy with my stay at this hotel. The only problem I had was the pillows were not very soft. The room was cleaned daily and clean sheets used each day. The staff were friendly. The location of the hotel is excellent about 5 mins walk to Notra Dame and also within walking distant to other landmarks. The metro station was just around the corner and the surrounding area is full of bars, cafes and restaurants. The hotel is set in a quiet street so there is little noise at night. I would recommend this hotel and would certainly visit again.
“Great Location, So-so service”
The hotel was in a great location. Close to Notre Dames, brasseries and nightlife but not too close to be noisy. The hotel rooms were adequate, not special but the price was right for the location. The service was luke warm, not too much effort to tell us about hotel services, nearest metro spot, bank, maps etc that is so helpful to first time guests. One morning, the concierge forgot to give us our wakeup call. Thank goodness, we had a back up or we would have missed our train. He was not too concerned. Overall, i would recommend on its location, cleanliness and price. Bring your own alarm clock and be prepared to ask a lot of questions for help.
“Okay hotel in Latin quarter”
We used St. Severin for only one night because we were in transit home from visiting Rome. (We started out from Paris for three nights at another Latin Quarter Hotel with better accodations). No early check in at 11:00; left bags to wander about until 2:00 check in (to check out early the next day). Room with two double beds was clean and small. The location is closer to the Bercy Train station (cabbed it) and Cluny access to metro to CDG, but near touristy, if that is the descriptive term, for Latin Quarter.
“Good hotel, great location!”
Very good location. Love Paris and the Latin Quarter is my favorite area. My second trip in the last two years. I stayed a few blocks away the last time and loved the location. My friend woke up and went down stairs and had breakfast thinking it was included, whoops 14 euro and just a standard european hotel breakfast.. Everything else about the hotel wasn't bad and we had a good stay.
“Will definitely return”
The Hotel is very well located on the Left Bank & is close to many restaurants & attractions. All the staff we met were very friendly & helpful including booking a restaurant we wanted to go to on my 60th birthday. When we were checking out we were asked if we wanted them to get us transport to the airport but this was already arranged. The room we had was large, particularly by Paris standards, and was extremely comfortable; we even had a hospitality tray with a kettle & tea & coffee. The heating was controlled by an in room thermostat which was very useful in January. The hotel breakfast cost 14 Euros each but there was plenty of choice - fruit juice, cereals, yoghurts, fruit salad, fruit compotes, hams, cheeses, bread croissants,jams-and no restriction on quantity -plus tea, coffee or chocolate so compared with the price on offer locally for a much smaller selection we thought it was quite good value. All in all it was a very enjoyable 2nd stay & we will definitely be back.
“Fantastic location and great comfort.”
Absolutely great hotel. We had a view of Saint Severin church from our window. We had been warned that the Left Bank could get loud at night, but we never heard more than a few laughs from our third floor. Notre Dame is a ten minute walk. The Louvre was a beautiful half hour walk along the Siene. The room was small, but had very practical storage to the ceiling, so we were able to keep both our suitcases and six days of clothes out of view. The staff was always helpful and never impatient in answering our questions or recommending restaurants or attractions. Try the restaurant next door if it isn't full. The crepe places around are also great for a cheap breakfast. The bathroom was clean, bright and large; and the heated towel rack made a big difference in winter.
