“Beautiful boutique hotel”
Wonderful hotel, helpful and friendly staff. Right next to the metro station and 10 minutes walk into the heart of the 'Latin Quarter' and Notre Dame catherdral. Breakfast pricey, would definitely return and highly recommend.
“GOOD LOCATION AND EASY AIRPORT ACCESS”
This hotel is well located, a short walk from the Luxembourg Gardens and about 15 minutes to the restaurants and nightlife of the Latin Quarter. Access from GDG Airport could not be easier, with a direct RER line running from the aiport to within a few metres from the hotel entrance. Our room was well appointed but very small. Okay for a weekend but not for longer. Lovely views from the window. A well stocked mini bar (though I could not find a price list in the room) but two sachets of inferior coffee (one of those decaff) and two teabags not great for 2 in the room. The bed was very comfortable and the room very clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We did not eat at the hotel but drinks in the bistro were very expensive.
“well situaued and newly remodeled Paris hotel”
exelent small hotel un Paris
“Very satisfied!”
We were pleasantly surprised by the standard of this 3* hotel. The recent refurbishment meant that virtually everything had been re-equpped and newly decorated. Our room (superior)was a decent size, there was a fridge, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. The en-suite shower/toilet was always fresh and towels changed daily. The bed was very comfortable and because we were at the back of the hotel there was no traffic noise at all; our room was also very welll sound-proofed. During our 5-night stay we had contact mainly with reception staff Valentin and Mustafa who were very pleasant and extremely helpful, indeed all the staff had a positive and helpful attitude. The only minus was lack of drawers in the room, but that did not affect the enjoyment of our stay. A big plus was the location - just a few metres away from a Metro station on a direct line (RER B) to both Charles De Gaulle and Orly airports and within walking distance of Notre Dame and right opposite the lovely Luxembourg gardens. We would definitely return to L'Observatoire on future visits to Paris.
“The bed was like a cloud - so comfortable”
The reception was very helpful, pleasant and knowledgeable, the rooms were immaculately clean, shower room small but the bed was the most comfortable Ive EVER slept in. Situated on a quiet street but the bus stop is right outside and will get you anywhere around the city as is the metro. We didnt try the breakfast as there is lots of cheap places to eat if you want to .. crepes are beautiful down the street .. the mini bar was expensive as you would imagine 4 euros 50 cents for a bottle of water - but no charge for air conditioning. I would definitely stay in this hotel again - thank you to all the staff.
“Traditional Paris rooms”
Room was very small... As was bathroom. Bed was very soft so not to our taste. Great location if you like to walk. The hotel has double glazed windows which is great as the noise outside is quite loud when windows are open.
“Great location, friendly staff”
This hotel was in a great location, just across the road from the Luxembourg gardens and a short walk from the St Germain area, with lots of reasonably priced restaurants within a 5 minute walking distance. There is also an RER station (Line B), literally across the road, so very easy to access if you are coming by Eurostar into Gare du Nord. The room was small (but this is for all Paris hotels) and the layout maximised the available space. The staff were very helpful and we would stay here again.
“Great for the price”
I stayed for 1 night in late July and it was a very nice hotel for a 3 star. The room was smaller than you would get for a 4 star, but the hotel was recently renovated and clean. Location was good to walk around in Paris and is 1 block from the RER-B train to get to the airport. Staff was very friendly as well, as long as your polite, it will not be a problem that you cannot speak French.
“staff made a superior experience”
The location was excellent for my needs. The hotel room was quite small but comfortable - the bedding was awesome - pillows, sheet, comforter soft and fluffy. The hotel staff was friendly and so helpful that I felt very welcome. The glass shield on the bathtub/shower was awkward - I couldn't help but splash water on the floor.
“Excellent Staff”
we stayed for 3 nights in July. Staff are very friendly and they speak English. Easy access from airport to the hotel by subway. Excellent location. Clean rooms but they are small. You have to pay 12euro per person for the breakfast this is the down side with this hotel. Free internet. I must say the breakfast is full filling. Except for the breakfast I had to pay, I loved everything else about this hotel.
