Economical hotel close to Paris Metro

Posted 20-Jun-2014
Location: Near a stop on Metro Line 4, and also just a couple stops from main Paris train stations Nord and Est. Bakeries, food stands and restaurants nearby.
If you're traveling on a budget with kids, finding reasonably-priced accommodations in metropolitan areas can be difficult. Hotel Montemartre Paris offers travelers a reasonably-priced room with private bathroom (shower, toilet, sink) facilities near a convenient Metro station. Our room was clean and tidy. The reception desk folks were friendly and spoke English. Rather than paying 8 Euro for the hotel breakfast, I recommend grabbing a croissant or other pastry and drink from the bakery that's adjacent the hotel. No room air conditioning, and no elevator, so be prepared. It's not the Ritz, but for travelers on a budget who want to put their money toward sightseeing rather than luxurious accommodations, I gladly recommend Hotel Montemartre Paris as a good choice.

Very basic hotel.

Posted 24-May-2014
Pros: Close to Metro, McDonald (for coffee) and Montmartre
Cons: I think the hotel and the area is not suitable for families with small children. Bed in the room could be better (mattress)
The room is not bad and clean (not a 5 though). The hotel is close to a metro station, in front of a McDonald and very close to Montmartre and there is a Carrefour supermarket 1 block away, very convenient. However the area looks a bit sketchy, the room has basic beds and there is not elevator. The area is also a little noisy. The staff is OK and we did not go through any issue.

great if you want to visit Paris cheaper

Posted 16-May-2014 on Hotels.com
This is really great place to stay if you want to visit Pars cheaper, Close to metro station, Carrefour express, Mc Donalds (if you are not fan of croissant for breakfast) and really great store with French baguette. Rooms are clean and service is good, You can have breakfast in hostel for 7 Euro but during breakfast you can't use kitchen on you own with isn't great, specialy if you bought lovely baguette with chees and olives downstairs and you want to have coffe with it. Hostel is open all night so you can enjoy Paris 24/7, internet work best on reception but you don't visit Paris to spend all day on fb. Everybody has different expectation but if you want to spend all day in city centre and only sleep in hostel this is right place to be.

Cheap central very basic , great staff

Posted 02-May-2014
Central location , very very basic and small , slight moulde in bathroom, shower head broken unable to alter heating settings, no tea or coffee facilities in room ,no bedside light or access to light from bed area , no lift Staff really polite and helpful even the cleaner was a laugh I would not stay here again not that I don't use budget hotels however to us this didn't quite hit the basics , if you just want somewhere to kip for one night then this is the place for you although at 75 euro per night is a tad on the expensive side

Pros: i loved the staff, the location.
Cons: coffee and maybe soft drinks. the mc donalds closed at 11 and the take away at 2am, it would be nice to be able to get drinks 24/7
Location: loads to do, sacre core , amelie cafe, gare du nord near by.

This location is prefect for someone who is not caught up in being in a 4 or 5 star hotel. The stairs are brutal but overall the hotel staff were nice and welcoming.

Great hotel for travelers on a budget

Posted 27-Jul-2013
Pros: Inexpensive. Close to metro stop. Clean
Cons: Far from center city. Sketchy area at night.
Location: Sketchy at night. Not a lot of bars.
This hotel was exactly what we needed as four traveling girls. We felt very safe once inside the hotel.Since we were only in Paris for a weekend, we did not spend much time in the room itself. It was clean and a pleasant place to shower, store our stuff, and sleep. Opted out of the breakfast since it was a bit expensive but might be worth it for families. ONLY problem was location. Hotel is far from center city. It is close to a metro stop (nice for transportation) but sad to move away from center city to go home. BE SURE to go to the right tube stop as some places near by are sketchy, especially at night. Very happy for the price I paid. Good experience. Great for students on a budget.
