Weekend in Paris

Posted 27-Jan-2015
Great weekend in Paris, the hotel is very convenient for Gard du Nord and the staff very friendly and helpful. My only quibble - the rooms are quite small, but apart from that it was comfortable and clean. The breakfast is good value too if you are hungry.

Lovely hotel close to the Gare du Norde, Paris

Posted 18-Jan-2015
Pros: Location - close to stations Staff - very friendly and helpful Modern and recently refurbished Comfortable
Cons: The name above the door is incorrect and confusing. Otherwise, it was about perfect.
Location: Central Paris, close to RER, Metro, Eurostar and buses, including sightseeing hop-on hop-off service. Walk Rue Lafayette to the main shopping area
I had a lovely stay at this hotel in January, Yes the rooms are small but they are very modern and fully equipped. Everything was very clean and seemed new. It is only 5 minutes easy walk from the station, from where there are connections to all of Paris - RER, Metro, Bus and sightseeing bus. The Gard du Norde is also the French terminus for Eurostar. From the moment I stepped through the door I was made to feel very welcome. The staff spoke excellent English and could not have been more helpful. The hotel is small and very personable. On walking in the room, the bed does take up most of the space, but there is also room for a desk, built-in wardrobe and bedside tables. The TV is attached to the wall. WiFi is free but you do need a token for every day of your stay, for each device. Internet speeds were very good. The bathroom was fully tiled with a shower and all of the necessities. Water was good and had more than enough pressure for a good shower. Downstairs there is a small restaurant for breakfast and coffee, a small courtyard for smokers, and a bar. A glass of wine at the bar was only 5 euros and it was served by the reception staff. The staff were full of ideas of where to go and what to do. One even lent me his personal loyalty card at a local restaurant which gave me 10% off the bill. One thing to watch out for - the sign above the hotel is the old name so if you are looking for it, trust the address and not the name. A really great find and I would stay there again.

Romantic!

Posted 15-Jan-2015
Pros: The beds are AMAZING. It was the best sleep I had in my 3 months in France. The spa is an absolute must go!
Location: Close to the train stations and a metro station. Be cautious of pickpockets!
Unfortunately we only got to stay at Mademoiselle one night, but it was a wonderful experience! If you are staying as a couple I strongly recommend using the steamroom/sauna! It was amazing! I have never really enjoyed using a sauna or a steam room until our trip to Paris! It was incredibly romantic and relaxing. All of the people at the front desk were extremely helpful. They helped us carry our bags to our room, let us borrow a wine opener and a few glasses, and let us stay a bit longer in the spa because it took a little longer than expected to get it ready. The only negative about this hotel is that it is in sort of a sketchy neighborhood, but it is also very close to the train stations. If you are arriving in Paris by Train this is a must stay hotel! There is also a grocery store right next door in case you don't feel like paying the 15 euros for breakfast.

Enjoyable stay. We didnt eat in the hotel as there are so many places to eat around. Although this is not a negative reflection of the hotel. The staff were extremely helpful offering directions/advice every morning. Upon departure they gentleman on reception kindly agreed to print our boarding passes too. Would stay again.

nice hotel not so nice neighborhood

Posted 05-Jan-2015
Pros: Great breakfast, nice decor
Location: located near metro with an easy ride into the city center, bad neighborhood with nothing to do
The walls are paper thin, everyone can hear you and you can hear everyone. Made it especially hard to sleep. The hotel itself is nice, trendy and relatively new and clean. The neighborhood however was not great at all; only one restaurant that looked ok to eat at but it was always closed, no coffee shops around, and I didnt feel so comfortable walking in the street here. Just a short walk between the hotel and the metro station gare d'lest.

Excellent Boutique spot in the 10th

Posted 23-Dec-2014
Pros: Décor is pretty hip. Nice location. Quiet Street.
Cons: The Wi-Fi is terrible. Dial-up speeds, if that. During high demand periods (breakfast) create stuck-conditions. Log in and password change daily.
Mademoiselle is located very close to Gare du Nord and de l'Est which is a convenient transit point. I also liked that we were walking distance to some hip night spots in the Canal area. Fine staff. Nice rooms and excellent beds. Acceptable room size.

Hotel Mademoiselle - Recommended...

Posted 04-Dec-2014
Pros: 5 minutes walk from Gare d,Nord.... 5 minutes from Metro line 7...
Cons: My room was small by international standards, but fitted out to a with style and quality fittings throughout, very good...
Location: A couple of good restaurants / cafes and bars nearby, the hotel does however provide good sensibly priced food in its restaurant.
A great find... Deserves its 4 star rating... Spa facilities available if you have the time... Very helpful staff...

Perfect for my budget

Posted 14-Nov-2014
This hotel is a gem. The location is very convenient. The staff are wonderful. The room is updated, clean and smells good. Even the hallway smells good. I booked the least expensive room and I was surprised to find two robes and 2 pairs of slippers. It's a 5 min walk to the Metro and is next to an indoor market. The breakfast is extra but if you take it throughout your stay then it's only 10 euros pp/day. You don't have to take the breakfast option when you are checking in. You can check the food in the morning and decide there. The coffee alone (with their giant espresso machine) is worth it. Take it. The only thing negative is since the room is not carpeted (i think it's laminate flooring), you will hear footsteps if there are people on the top room. It wasn't a big deal for me. I like that it's not carpeted cause I know that it's clean. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.
