This trip was booked and paid in full as a package but this was the only hotel that charged us again for our rooms stating the money was put down was only a deposit. They said this is how Expedia does it and would not listen when we said No everything was paid in full. When you budget for a long vacation and are traveling to many different locations you do so on. Budget and having to pay double for 2 extra rooms at the end of the stay is not very good. They did not even say anything about this when we checked in. The bathrooms are not great Betty small and the showers are very weak. Would not recommend this hotel as they now seem very shady to us.

Upon departure, all of you seemed very glad of their stay and even thanked the reception staff a lot for everything and this good time in Paris you had. If there is, as you are describing, an issue with the reservation settlement, could you please contact us.If you think you shouldn’t have paid ; we have received different instructions from the website you made your booking with. For us, it was clear these reservations were supposed to be settled upon check out.If ever never the double charge you are mentioning is from the amount of the first night, please note we have conducted a pre authorization of the amount of the first night as a guarantee. This pending charge has been naturally cancelled right after your check out as we do for every single guest staying in our hotel. If you would need, we would be glad to provide you a scan of the proof the pre authorizations have been released. We wish definitely not to charge our guest twice. We have never done it and wish never to.Please contact us whenever you wish so that we can solve what you think has been an error.

This hotel is perfectly located in the center of old Paris and all the classic sites! The room is gorgeous! the staff is amazing too!

The property is clean, classicly French, and perfectly situated in the heart of the city. Lots of great exploring within walking distance. The staff really took it to the next level by reaching out prior to the trip to find out if we were celebrating anything special. They asked what we'd like to see while we were there and sent us customized recommendations. We were greeted personally by Alexandre upon arrival and had wonderful service the whole time. Highly recommend Hotel Lumen!

As a walking tourist, this hotel was in a very good location. The building and surrounding area had wonderful architecture. Although the decor of the hotel was a bit tired, this seemed not to matter considering that the staff were so helpful and friendly. I would consider to stay there again and would recommend it to a friend.

Lovely stay!
Check in was quick and easy and the reception desk was friendly and helpful. Location is close to the Louvre and also has several cafes and shops within walking distance. It’s a very safe location. We ask enjoyed breakfast each morning.

This hotel is amazing! It was my first time in Paris and I wanted to stay super central. This was a lovely little home. I had a small room on the 2nd floor facing the church behind the building. The staff were all amazing! Sebastien and Xiemy really stood out to me. The staff were available to me at any time and made my stay very luxurious. The room were super clean and the bed as comfortable as mine. 1 word of caution, their standard room has glass walls around the bathroom. I am a solo traveler, but for couples or families you may want to ensure you have a room with a full bathroom. Can see everything that happens in the bathroom from the other side of the see through glass wall. I will definately come back to this hotel! A big thanks to the staff for making my first stay in paris so magical!

The hotel is beautiful. We were there for Christmas and it was very special. The views from the room are so cutesy quaint and obviously Parisian. The beds are super comfortable, melted into sleep. The staff was accommodating and helpful. We stayed in the family suite.

Nice hotel in Paris
The hotel is very well located and has a friendly staff. Regarding the rooms, they are a little bit smaller than the others hotels that we stayed, but still cozy. On other hand, in my opinion the hotel should put either curtains or a shower stall, because the bathroom gets very wet

The hotel lacks empathy
Due to the pandemic the US issued a travel ban the day I was to visit France and stay at this hotel. I had to cancel my flight because I did not know what the ban consisted of and was due to go in effect the day I arrive in France. I promptly called hotels.com and asked for a refund or at best a credit at the hotel so I can visit at a later date. Hotels.com had an issue reaching the hotel then France went into lockdown. Now 3 months later hotels.com is now informing me the hotel is refusing to assist me in any form. I understand the rate i chose and prepaid for is non refundable but it was not my fault that both countries has closed their boarders. I ultimately feel that this hotel has no compassion their guest.

Good hotel great location friendly staff. The only thing that I could fault was the hotel didn’t re stalk water and coffee capsules in the rooms wich was disappointing. We did have 4 rooms. 😓

Great location and friendly staff. Front desk was great. The empty restaurant/ lounge denied us a table outright even though they were empty and then seated the people behind us. It was clear that it was because we spoke English. We spoke with the front desk who cleared it up and got us a table but it left a bad impression so we never ate their again during our week long stay

It was outstanding. This is the second time I have stayed at Hotel Lumen Louvre. And they made my stay extremely comfortable. I reached earlier than the usual check-in but they accommodated me by providing a room. Location is the best. And so is the cleanliness. Staff are very polite.

The entire staff is excellent from the front desk to the cleaning staff to the restaurant very helpful and speak very good English. The restaurant food is simply amazing very french and very good at a reasonable price. Location is great for walking to all tourist areas along the river and the museums. Half mile to Louve, mile and half to Notre Dame, 2-3 miles to Eifel Tower, a mile to Arc Triomphe. All the shopping and restaurants you will ever need with in walking distance and not along Rue de Ravioli. A block from Paris Vision tours. Only thing I was disappointed with were the restaurant hours at hotel even though there is 24 hour room service it is always nicer to sit in a restaurant not bedroom. Highly recommended

Very Good Boutique Hotel with 5 STAR service and exceptionally great and friendly staff. One of the BEST experiences in France. Also, great location- short walking distance to most of entertainment, shopping and Historical places. We will deffinately visit and stay there again.

Perfect location walkable to everywhere I wanted to go (Opera, Louvre, Haumann Lafayette, designer shopping street) Japanese restaurants closeby were awesome alternative cuisine. It is also close to the M1 subway which was only line operating during the strike protests.

Luxurious room, great location
Beautiful room and view! Great service! Only drawback I would say is that I tried to get room service (I was exhausted and didn't want to leave my room) and was then passed to the restaurant on the phone and then someone came up to try to get me to go to the restaurant instead of getting room service which was uncomfortable.

The position of the hotel is ideal for the Louvre, for walking across the river, for walking up Fauborg St Honore, for walking up the rue de Richelieu to the Drouot. All things I need to do. I stayed there with my 7 year old son Hotel it’s not really kids friendly but I choose it because off location it’s great Breakfast was simple and they didn’t have any cereal!I ask and they said no children staying with us so no cereal but I think adults like cereals too?!?! Room are small clean bed very comfortable but the outside noise it’s different level!! I couldn’t sleep even with complimentary earplugs!! Hotel should put double glazing windows Reception stuff very helpful and knowledgable so it’s like 50/50 with overall experience!!!

AMAZING!!
Paris is my favorite long weekend destination, and of all the hotels I have stayed at, Hotel Lumen has consistently been my favorite. The rooms are clean and spacious, the decor is beautiful and the staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Pros: location is excellent, 2 blocks from the Louvre. The family suite is wonderful with 5 (FIVE) terrific balconies with great views of the street and the church. You can see the corner of the Louvre area from the windows. The staff is wonderful and accommodating. Cons: the condition of the carpet and the furniture in the family suite is awful, very run down. The elevator kept breaking down and we had to take the tiny service elevator and walk the last flight.
