I had to drag my suitcase 2 flights of stairs. No keys to the room, I had to open the room And return master key ! Room tiny and very outdated . Nothing like website pictures

The staff was amazing - kind, helpful, and friendly. You should know that stairs are necessary, even though the hotel has a lift. That was the one thing we were not prepared for, but everytime we returned "home" the gentleman would offer to help with our bags (we did a lot of shopping).

This is a small cozy hotel. It is very clean and tidy. The room is small but good for a tourist to have good sleep. The staff is very helpful. The stair is steep if you carry a big piece of luggage, it will be a problem. I definitely will return if I visit Paris next time.

Fall Paris weekend
Pleasant stay in a spacious and clean room with a nice view of the Paris neighborhood. All was fine, friendly service and nice breakfast, a bit funky and cozy. Good room temperature.

From the moment we walked in the front door Eric was friendly and welcoming and provided many tips for getting around the city and plenty of recommendations. The hotel was clean and close to everything we needed. The room was small, but that was expected, as we didn't plan to spend much time in the room but rather enjoying the city. It was just a block away from access to the Louvre Jardin des Tulieres. Bakery just a few doors down from the hotel for breakfast and small grocery store also just across the street for things you may need. Love this place!

Small Hidden, Historical Gem of a Hotel
We booked this hotel without really knowing what to expect, and we were surprised to learn about the history of this hotel and its significance. While the stairs are quite narrow, the staff was very pleasant (especially Eric who worked the main desk most days we were there)! The rooms weren't too small, were clean, and the bathrooms appeared to be renovated and were quite nice. We were surprised at how much we enjoyed this little hotel, and it's located in a great locations near the Louvre, trains, and other sites.

Pros: The property is in a great location, close to the central part of the city. It was clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. Cons: The property itself was not to our liking. The elevator starts almost at the second floor, with a really narrow and circular staircase. Its tough to navigate the stairs as it is, but if you have to carry luggage, its an accident waiting to happen. We got the loft room. The whole hotel doesnt have much space, seems very claustrophobic. The shower curtain rod ended at the top part of the loft, leaving half the bath area open, so, water would leak out onto the floor. The toilet flush took at least 3 tries to clean. I would not go back again.

Good Wi-Fi and air conditioning in room. Bathroom had ants and broken shower head. Way too many stairs, there is an elevator but it only goes between certain floors and you cannot avoid dragging luggage up at least 2-6 fights of stairs.

Look, this place is in a great location and easy walking distance to The Louvre, The Palais Garnier, The Seine and other sites in that area. But it's an OLD building (from the 1700s) and not a luxury spot. The staff are friendly and gave us good advice on where to eat nearby. We were there for just one night and had plans, so we didn't spend a whole lot of time there. It's not accessible and there are a LOT of stairs in a narrow staircase - so something to consider if you have any mobility issues. The room we had was very small and wouldn't be comfortable for a tall or bigger person. My partner and I are on the smaller side and it was tight for us. The bed was comfortable enough and the linens and towels were clean. It's a basic spot in a great location, so depending on your needs, it could work. For what it was, I think the price was a little high. Don't think we'd stay again.

There’s a rule to hand in your room key each time you leave the property. The room was quite noisy. It’s okay if you don’t mind stairs - there is a lift that 2 people can squeeze into. The way the hotel is run has a noticeably old-fashioned feel. The best element is the location - a basic, suitable accommodation for getting about the city. The Louvre, Jardin des Tuileries and Opera Garnier are all of a walkable distance.

Very nice location and the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. The A/C works! If someone has a problem with steep stairs that may be an issue. Overall I recommend this hotel.

Not sure how this property is so highly rated. Yes, the location is excellent in the 1st ARR close to the Louvre Museum and the Jardin de Tuileries. However, this property is rather dated and rooms are small. There is no elevator so we were lucky we got a room on the first floor. The floor desk staff (partly manned by the owner) were very nice and helpful even helping to lug our luggage up and down the stairs. If requested, you can choose to have breakfast at the property but we opted to hit the cafes nearby instead. The front desk staff will provide taxi booking for you in advance for airport transfers. The rooms themselves are pretty intense le and bathroom is very small indeed so for 3 people, we had to get ready sequentially and further tightened our already scrambled space.

Fantasy location! So easy to get around the city from here. Room was small but able to accommodate a family (2 adults and a teen). Plus the beds were really comfy. All of the staff members were friendly and very helpful. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again in the future.

Older hotel and quirky room. Clean. Have to climb stairs. Elevator goes to half floors- but staff are very helpful in carrying luggage. Rooms are tight. Bathroom was very small. There was not actual door to bathroom and no conditioner or lotion. Room did not match pic in the expedia website. There was no third twin bed but only a roll away bed. But location is good. Very near Jardin de Tuilleres and Louvre.

Just stayed for two nights and had a wonderful experience. Quaint, historical steps in the most perfect location. The room was clean and by European standards a very nice size . The staff was professional, personable and went above and beyond to help. Not great for anyone with mobility issues but they have a sister property to accommodate those needs. Would recommend to anyone and would definitely stay there again.

Getting in late to a very small room rattled me for a few minutes upon arrival. The stairs are small too, you have to watch your step. I quickly got over it. You’re not spending time in a room while in Paris. There were very nice and accommodating, and the location (for the price) is very good.

Property is in a great area! Close walk to the louvre, Notre Dame, gardens, shopping and plenty of cafes. The hotel is very small but perfect for what you really need. The only thing I’m not a fan of is that you have to leave the room key at the front desk when leaving for the day.

A great place to stay in Paris and convenient for the Louvre and shopping. Its an old hotel with plenty of history. The steps are steep so not for the infirm. I found it a bit smokey as people smoked outside and it came in tot he hotel. Small things. The staff were great and helpful. I would stay again

I loved my stay at this hotel. The staff was super friendly. The hotel is near major tourist spots. It is super close to the Louvre, the Toulerie gardens, the Musee d'Orsay, etc. I recommend not bringing big luggage. The hotel is small and the stairs are not great for big luggage. The hotel has breakfast available which was very convenient. This is a hotel I would definitely stay again.
