“Great if all you need is a place to sleep overnight.”
This hotel ticked all the boxes for us. It's convenient for Gare Du Nord (a simple 10 minute walk), and was very good value. Brisk walking to Notre Dame or the Louvre took us half an hour. Our double room was spacious enough, clean and in good decorative order. The bed was made up every day (and presumably changed - the towels were definitely changed). The bed was comfortable, and although the pillows were small they were adequate. The bathroom (toilet, sink and bath) was clean and in good decorative order too. The shower was only hand-held and there was no shower curtain, but it did the job we wanted. More importantly, there was hot water quite quickly every time we wanted it. Only soap was provided but we took our own shampoo anyway, and if you get caught out there are shops (plus lots of hair salons) close by. The neighbourhood is not attractive but we did not want to hang around there, and in any case we did not feel uncomfortable or unsafe even when walking back late at night. The rooms have no tea/coffee making facilities but we did not spend long enough in the hotel to need them. There's a coffee machine in the breakfast room if needed. The inclusive breakfast was basic (a croissant, a roll with butter and jam, and tea/coffee) but sufficient, and was served quickly - we didn’t want valuable sightseeing time wasted. Our limited need for communication was satisfied by the staff's command of English. We would happily stay there again.
“Hotel Liege Strasbourg, Paris”
The hotel was walking distance from the Gare Du Nord Eurostar destination, and there was a convenient Metro station very close to the hotel (Chateau d'eau), so getting about was very easy. I would happily stay there on any future trip.
“Not impressed at all”
This hotel's employees have the worst customer service I have ever experienced! The front desk guy is completely rude and talks to you like you are an idiot. Even though there is a bar he tells you to go to the one down the street. Which leads to the next issue..... It is in the most "questionable" neighborhood. Anyone would be extremely uncomfortable walking down Strasburg Blvd.... The common area you see from your room's "view" is horrible and over looks a very unclean backyard type area. And their "Double" rooms are so small and they will put you on the top floor which means... You ride an elevator that barely fits one person and a carry on luggage all the way to the 2nd to the top floor then walk up the creepiest stairway to the top floor. The only nice people in the hotel, aside from the fact that I told them not to come in my room and they did, were the maids. If you want a cheap room and can tolerate the people and horrible location then definitely go there! Otherwise.. please don't give them your business. PS> I would not walk around that area with a lot of money in my pocket.
“average hotel”
Hotel is small. There is NO air conditioning. On busy road so it is hard to have windows open at night. Staff was very plesant. Rooms were clean. Carpet in halls (dingy) but there was new laminate wood floors in the guest room we were in. Simple rooms, but ample space with 3 kids! Breakfast was french bread & croissants with coffee or tea. Easy to get to from airport and the sites.
“hotel liege strasbourg”
“l'hotel è situato in buona posizione”
