“Paris the city of Life and Love”
I have been to Le Madison before and each time i go back is better and better specially now after the renovations.I would love to live there permanentelly,Thanks very much all staff of Le Madison.
“Great location/DIRTY room”
The Madison Hotel has a perfect location. Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful with the exception of one gentleman on the front desk. The room was small as are most European rooms.Bedding was lovely.... crisp and white .However the carpet was very dirty with footprints evident. Dirt happens ,but clearly the housekeeping staff were not paying attention to details if a guest was allowed to check in with the room in such bad shape. Also the room had a rather foul smell. When I brought it to the attention of the front desk on duty he was rather condescending and could have cared less. Such a shame really because the rest of the staff were so sweet and accommodating.
“Great room but on the small side...”
As I sit in a different 4 star hotel, I think back that Le Madison was a pretty great hotel. I'd call it "the little hotel that could..." Super clean, very modern, comfy bed (woke up with no backaches), and quite for its busy St Germain location, but the room was very small (like other Euro hotels you might visit). I was traveling on business, so this room was perfect for me. Had it been me and my husband, it would've been a little tight (trust me, I've been in smaller hotel rooms though). High end perks (tv, phones, bose stereo system, sonia rykiel pillows), very comfortable bed, I would assume this hotel had been recently remodeled. Free wifi is always a plus, the breakfast looked decent enough. Definitely VERY clean. Negatives -- no alarm clock (its always like that these days), and no proper shower curtain or door (the Brits do this too, drives me nuts). Everything else was great. I plan to stay here again (you can't beat this location for shopping) and I'd recommend it to colleagues.
“Nice hotel, great location,”
The hotel is located in a great location. Close to restaurants, bars, etc. Metro station is just yards away. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was small but very clean. The complimentary WI FI was reliable and fast. I definitely recommend this hotel.
“Great Hotel, Perfect Location”
You can't beat the location of Le Madison. It's perfect the way it's slightly tucked away from the main street because of the cul-de-sac. The metro is a stones throw away and it's a quick walk across Pont du Arts to the Louvre. The hotel and rooms are super clean, beds are comfy and the staff is friendly. The only thing I'd let anyone know is that the room is a little small (normal Europe), so if you have large luggage/extra luggage that doesn't fit in the closet (which is good sized), you might have to choose a side of the bed you don't want to walk on. St Germain is my favorite area in Paris, Close to the best shopping, great cafes and restaurants as well as many of the sites of Paris but without being in an overwhelmingly touristy area.
“Excellent small hotle”
This was a beautiful small hotel in a Cartier very animated. If you want to be in a chic lodging, surrounded by restaurants and caves, this is the hotel for you. The staff are wonderful. My only negative was that my beautiful room was small. However, it was fine for one person. It would have been a squeeze for two persons.
“Tight bathroom”
If you are assigned to a non-renovated room you can expect a very uncomfortable bathroom experience!!! For the rest the hotel is well located and the staff is eager to assist and help.
“Wonderful little hotel”
The Madison is a real gem; small, cute and friendly. Glorious decor, our room was all rich raspberries and chocolate, with lots of fun little touches that we kept discovering over time, such as the tiny twinkly lights embedded in the ceiling. We got a prestige room, and had our own stone balcony overlooking the street and the church of St Germain des Pres. Having heard much about the snootiness of Paris hotels, I was a littler concerned, but everyone was so friendly and helpful; even when we arrived in our crappy old jeans and trainers I never felt they disapproved. Fantastic location, too, very central, and moments from a handy metro station.
“That's the one I would stay next trip to Paris, and so as the next, next-next, next-next-next trips!”
the location is excellent! City bike rental station right in front of the front door, which you can rent a bike and drop it off any other stations in town. Also the metro subway station is right in front of the hotel. 10 minutes walk to Notre-Dame, or the Louvre. 3-5 more minutes walk from Notre-Dame get you to Pompidou. there is a market behind the hotel, also many shops in very short walking distance. The hotel is in very good shape. I didnt hear any street noise despite it is fronting a main street. Got to take advantage of the breakfast buffet downstairs. I started there almost every other day of my stay (8 days!). I love my bed!! Wifi is free of charge anywhere inside the hotel!! Friends warned me about water pressure and temperature in Paris hotels because of their ages, but I didn't have any of these problems with this hotel.
“Very Helpful Staff”
The staff was very helpful -- particuarly since we had delayed luggage. They were always willing to talk to the airline in French which made the discussion much easier. The hotel has recently been renovated. Everything was lovely and very clean.
