Fantastic location!

Hotel is just 1 min walk from metro. The hotel owner is very warm and friendly. We stayed at level 3, room is spacious and clean. Just prepared to walk the spiral stairs for 3 levels. Owner offered to carry our baggages :)

It's alright

I think the best thing to be said for this room was that it was close to a metro stop, which is very helpful if you're planning on doing a lot of sight-seeing or going to many places. The kitchen was very useful, though I'm not sure if the landlord checked before we got there if the prior tenants had cleaned everything properly. Unfortunately, my companion and I found the location somewhat sketchy -- not the place one might want to walk around alone at night and definitely the kind of place one checks the locks twice. Not sure it's the best deal for your money, but it'll do.

Hotel was a disappointment for me, not like it.

Posted 26-Aug-2013
Pros: Beds were okay,
Cons: Need some cleaning.
Location: location is good.
my over all experience was Okay. Hotel bathroom was not clean, very old and cheap bath towels, the owner/manager was nice person but coming from USA to this hotel will be disappointment.

convenient but...

Posted 15-Jul-2013
Pros: location
Cons: add air conditioning so windows could be closed. Call it an efficiency apartment or studio flat rather than a hotel.
Location: Louvre, Jardin de Teulleries, Notre Dame, Place de la Concorde, etc
Other reviews of this facility say it all. No AC means windows must be open, café next door noisy until 1 or 2 AM and construction starts around 6 or 7 AM, so noisy in accurate. Fully equipped kitchen makes it easy and possibly cheap to stay in conveniently located facility. Grocery stores not too far away. Only a few blocks from major attractions. Staff was friendly enough when around. No linen or maid service for 4 days stay and only got towels when requested. Really an efficiency apartment rather than a hotel. Stairs are narrow but manageable.

Great location but terribly noisy

Posted 22-Jun-2013 on Hotels.com
It was great finding a reasonably priced aparthotel for 4 in a central location (Chatelet-Les Halles). We could walk everywhere and were a stone's throw from Rue Montorguiel where we stocked up on groceries and roast chicken dinners. We were provided some towels, a bar of Dove soap and toilet paper. Those would have to be used for the entire stay. There was no room cleaning service so we had to throw out the "wet trash"each morning for fear of stinking up the room/attracting pests. It's not a good idea to stay here if you dislike climbing narrow spiral stairs or have huge luggages you cannot carry up/down yourself because that's what you'll have to do. Additionally, as there was no air conditioner in the room, we had to leave the windows open to cool the room. With that, noise from the restaurant/bar downstairs (we stayed on the 4th) got in till 3am and the construction work at Forum Les Halles (right beside us) started at 6.35am. Everything was great but the noise, oh the noise, waking up at 6.35am every day while on vacation wasn't what I envisioned myself doing but I tell myself it gives me more time to surf the net while waiting and hey it's like a free wake-up call service! All in all, I would recommend this hotel only AFTER the construction work has completed and only if you can 'tough' it out with the stairs and noise!

Large room in tiny hotel

Posted 31-May-2013 on Hotels.com
The location is great, a few meters away from Chatelet-les-Halles metro Station, the underground hub of Paris.Room clean and surprizingly big for the centre of Paris, but to get there you must go up a steep and very narrow stairwell - almost medieval, no elevator! Good exercise for the heart! The room service helped me with my suitcase, very nice...

a real surprise packet

Posted 27-Feb-2013
The building is old, and the hotel is not well marked. It is right at the end of the small street off Rue Rambutan. Access to the floor is up narrow stairs. When you get there you are welcomed with a large well equipped room with full cooking facilities. You could use it as a pad for several days exploring central Paris. It is excellent value for what you get in such a convenient location.

no one was their, we had to find a neighbourg to call 5 differents phone numbers. have to wait more then 30 minutes to see some one. the owner was verry arrogant. the stairs to go on the 3th floor are a danger. a big construction area is at 3 doors and is their for more then a year. i travel around the world and it was the most unplaisant experience. even if the owner said that he will no charge for the stay.
