“Basic, but good location and reasonably priced”
A basic hotel but staff were friendly, and the location was great for the metro and for Montmartre. The room was small but clean and comfortable. Plenty of cafes nearby for meals. Overall a decent base in central Paris for a really reasonable rate.
“Would love to go back sometime.”
I went with my daughter for a 4 day city break, this hotel is in an ideal position, we felt very safe at all times, day or night when we were out and about, it is rated as 2 star but we felt the service we received was equal to 4 stars, the rooms were spotlessly clean and the beds very comfortable, the only thing missing was tea/coffee making facilities, (take a little travel kettle), the english speaking staff were so friendly and helpful, giving us maps of the area, instructions how to visit all the main siteseeing spots, information about buying tickets for the hop on - hop off open top bus tour service, which was one of the best thing we bought, with a pick-up point 5 mins walk from the hotel. The breakfast was on special offer, and was very good value as it covered continental and full english 'eat as much as you want' with lots of choice. Facing the hotel is a Carefour supermarket, very good and reasonable prices, with everything you may need . We also used the airport/hotel shuttle service offered by Expedia, superb and efficient, we would definately recommend using the service.
“Excellent little hotel”
The position of the hotel is excellent (in walking distance to Montmartre and gare du Nord, the staff very friendly and speaking English, the metro station is very close (5 min), the rooms very clean and decent in size.
“Does what it says on the tin”
Convenient location, very friendly and helpful staff, reasonable price, good breakfasts. A tad noisy if you have a room at the front.
“Great location”
Enjoyed my stay at the Hotel France Albion. Great location. Easy walking to Opera, Montmartre etc and plenty Metro stations close by. Good selection of restaurants in area. Hotel is comfortable - rooms are small (my single was tiny) but comfortable and everything works! Staff friendly and helpful.
“We would definitely book again”
A great location close to the Montmartre, Moulin Rouge but also the main shops and centre of Paris. I did worry about road noise but even though our room was on the front this was not a problem once the window was shut, the road being fairly quiet anyway, given it is in a city. As the hotel was full we were upgraded to a larger room. I would not say that this was big so what a regular double is like I do not know, but as all we wanted was for somewhere clean and comfortable sleep it was more than ample. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice including the usual continental breakfast selection but also bacon, scrambled egg and small fried potatoes. The room we had was clean but did have a couple of tiles were missing in the bathroom. There was air-conditioning but this seemed fixed to a particular temperature rather than controllable (even though I tried). If you want wi-fi you have to pay (6 Euros for 24 hours) and it would be nice for it to be included free. We drove and there was a small but good secure car park nearby (32 Euros for one day, 44 Euros for 2) which the hotel recommended. There are two metro stops very nearby if not arriving by car and plenty of places to eat/drink close by. We have stayed in Paris a few times and would definitely go back to this hotel.
“Handy pied-a-terre”
Quiet small hotel - my room was next the lift and even that was really silent. The hot buffet was a bit tired by the time I got down but there was a DIY egg boiler and very good ham and cheese. Very small bar area off reception: I never saw anyone using it. Great central location: I walked a lot, but it is just a few metres from St.Georges Metro station.
“Best hotel we've stopped at in Paris”
Everything Excellent. Staff very helpful and friendly, nice size, very clean room. Ideal for sightseeing. Two Metros in easy reach,Sacre-Coeur is visible from just up the street, hotel is close to Trinite,Pigalle,Maison Lafayette and only 20 minute walk from Gare du Nord and Eurostar. We will be back again next year, and the year after etc. etc.
“Extremely Helpful”
We were unfortunate to be affected by the recent cancellation of Eurostar trains but the hotel were able to accommodate us for an additional evening and provide valuable advice about the ongoing situation with the Eurostar service--this was very much appreciated. Notwithstanding that blip at the end of our stay we found all the staff extremely helpful. The hotel itself is situated between two metro staions which are each only a few minutes walk away. The area itself is fine and as usual in Paris you can walk to a variety of restaurants that are close by.
“A Perfect Position in Paris”
I would certainly recommend The France Albion to other visitors to Paris. The Hotel and our room was most comfortable and welcoming; all staff were very friendly and Reception staff very helpful. The inclusive breakfast was most substantial and very delicious. The Hotel's position in the 9th A. was perfect for us as we particularly wanted to be in the area close to The Opera House, about a 15 mins walk away, where the Airport transfer bus stopped and also round the corner from the railway station that took us to Disneyland. The Hotel is also just approx. 30 minutes walk from Montmartre and its sights in one direction, and the same again to The Louvre and The Seine in the other direction. There is plenty of shopping close by and lots of cafe's; we particularly enjoyed our evening in The Hard Rock Cafe, 10 minutes walk away. We actually walked everywhere: to Notre Dame, to the Eifful Tower, to the Arc de Triomphe and down the Champs Ellysess but you don't have to as the Hotel is surrounded by Metro stations. All in all a fabulous holiday and a perfect place to come back to each evening.
