Located in a dirty and dangerous area. When we checked in there was a very bad smell in the hotel probably related to lack of cleaning and maintenance. Don’t recomend the hotel if you’re traveling as a family. I believe this hotel has a low rating anyways and I can understand why now.

The photos of the rooms are deceiving, we had no room to put our suitcase down. The side tables are way to small to be useful. There is no shelves in the bathroom or shower for your own stuff. The toilet is in a terrible position. For such a small room the air conditioning did nothing. The staff was friendly, and rooms were clean!

Close enough to the train station and convenient for buses. The hotel is ok. Clean and really deserving of the BW name. But the neighborhood looks unsafe especially at night.

Very bad
Rooms are extremely small. Bathroom small and drainage was so bad that water flowed out of the bathroom and the room was flooded !!! Except it's nearness to Gare do Nord, nothing is good.

The staff were nice and the bedding was nice. Room was clean. But the negatives were many, tiny box of a rom. Tiny 10cm shelf next to bed that you can't put much on. Tiny area for clothes was overhanging the 'desk' area, so you use one or the other! It was so incredibly noisy at all times!!! Barely slept. The lift only holds 2 people - not even with luggage, literally 2 people only, tiny and claustrophobic. The heating didn't work in my room. I couldn't call downstairs because the phone didn't work either!! I told them upon check out, as who wants to go down in PJs to have to report a fault, and when I yold them in the morning, their reaction was "oh really". That was it. The area is dodgy with dodgy people. It's a good 15 min walk to Hare du Nord, not as listed in Expedia. And I walk fast! The noise was constant through the night, bring your earplugs.

Hotel itself is normal but district it very bad. It is quite far from the city center. Near there are no normal restaurants and pubs. But metro stations are very close. I was staying at a single room and it was too small. However i asked to change my room and they did. Breakfast is normal. Reception staff was great! During my stay i met 5 receptionists and 4 of them were very kind and happy to help. Only one girl was a little bit rude :) Breakfast staff was also very positive.

First night we had noisy maintanance works between 8 and 10.30 pm in the room next to ours. Second night around 9 pm an unknown guy suddenly opened the door our room when we were in bed which was creepy and scary.

To preface this review- the French / Paris rail system strike is on. Public transport to and from this location is not accessible. Uber is super expensive to get to sites taking over 30min to cover 2-3km (small children wouldn’t walk that far). On arrival the staff were absolutely lovely and very friendly. The reception staff could not be faulted. The facilities However are perhaps 1 star at best. So run down. Beds uncomfortable. Rooms not secure so blocked door with luggage whilst sleeping- or attempting to sleep. Noisy as everyone on the floor could be heard. There was no toilet paper. No soap or body wash in the shower. The dispenser was completely empty - as in didn’t even contain a soap bottle. Disappointed in our stay in Paris.

the property was NOTHING like on the pictures. the rooms looked horrible. the bathrooms were small and the showers would get clogged up to the point water would over flow into the rest on the tine bathroom. as soon as we got to the hotel the sent us to a different location not the address we reserved that shouldve been my first clue. I went back to try and cancel and they said I could but would not get my money back that would fix what was wrong. I explained the situation,. I reserved 4 rooms and they were all horrible. stunk up like someone had just smoked in them. the AC didn't really work. we would have to open up the windows to get air and than couldn't sleep because of all the noise or police and ambulance out side. we tried to unclog the shower and the amount of hair stuck in there was gross. would not recommend this hotel to my worse enemy.

Patricia on reception was the star of this hotel. Knowledgeable, friendly and great english. Lift is small. 2 adults or 1 adult plus luggage only, but for the price and location it was brilliant. Woukld certainly consider again if staying in Paris, only 10 mins from Gare DuNord.

The room was updated. I called for help with the ice cold shower water and problem never resolved. Took this hotel for Express purpose of having a shower after long travel time. Disappointed. Property should have given at least partial refund or offered to change our room. Karen

Cleanliness is next to godliness. Very pleased with the environment- quiet as it can be. Neat and tidy. Few minutes walk from Gare Du Nord Station. Friendly staff and lots more.

It was close to all public transport but not in a very good area The Hotel breakfast was really nice and all the staff were very polite and helpful and English speaking The room had been renovated The room Was really small especially when trying store cases but the bed was extremely comfortable A shelf was needed in the bathroom to store toiletries

Superb location, clean and quiet
Superb location. Very close to gare du nord, and chapelle metro station which was all we needed. Clean and quiet. I had stayed on the other side of the chappele metro station a few months ago and what a huge difference this location was. Felt very safe here

Pictures did not reflect room at all. Was much smaller and nothing like the pictures. Lift could not fit more than two people and was worryingly unsafe. Room did not have iron and ironing board which was listed, safe was sealed shut, shower had no door or curtain so water went everywhere and toilet was so small with a bolted toilet brush next to it that there was no room to sit (and we are small people) The area where the hotel itself is, is awful, we felt very unsafe and spent both nights in the room with food we brought with us as we didn’t feel comfortable being out at night. The reception and check in is several doors down from where we were put up which wasn’t ideal. I read bad reviews and was optimistic it would be different and people were complaining about nothing but honestly, I would never stay here again nor would I stay in the area.

Convenient location if you need the Gare du Nord
Close to Gare du Nord (7-minute walk), good customer service and got my room at 12 pm. The surrounding area seemed dodgy, particularly at night. The room was very small. It was challenging to put my two suitcases on the floor. The shower was very small. The air conditioner was very noisy

We were put into a property a few blocks away which was more like a youth hostel NO I think that that is disrespectful to YHA The lift sometimes went to floor 4and sometimes not the room was so small that we were Unable to leave a suitcase open for fear of tripping, one foot on one side of bed and three feet on the other with a sliding door straight on to loo. No privacy whatsoever. The shower worked but the window opened into shower and would not close. Paper cups and 2 sachets of coffee and milk day one nothing after. The bed linen and towels were clean to be fair.

This hotel is very close to The North station and although a slightly small room, it was clean, comfortable and the staff were very friendly. If you want good value this is it.

This property is very nice. They were renovating some of it, but the work did not intrude on our sleep. The breakfast room is in a truly unique stone basement. Beautiful! The selection was fair. The staff was very nice. The room was a bit small, but that was expected for the price/area. The hotel felt safe and clean. There are many shops and restaurants, but most closed early. The hotel is convenient to metro and taxis, but the street was deserted and dark at 10PM and felt a bit sketchy. If you are used to big cities though, you'll be fine. Would stay here again.

Live the location. 1 block from the metro in an eclectic neighborhood. The Achilles heel here is the property. First the toilet is so close to the wall only a child can use it comfortably. AC leaked water for 4 nights. Initial repair was ineffective and then left. We used the waste basket to catch the water. Finally, sewage gas seeped from the bathroom. It was unbearable. Staff was very understanding and changed our room to one that served us perfectly. Wished we had the 2nd room for the duration.

Fantastic hotel

Very unpleasant experience
Not happy with my stay. Some of the complaints are - hotel staff will come into the room with out knocking at the door. The hotel staff will come into the room and do the room cleaning service instead of my posting the do not disturb sign on the door. My friend’s wallet was stolen from the hotel room by the hotel staff. Lift never worked so had to carry our luggage through the staircase.

Watch out-VERY Noisy!
Avoid this area if you can. One of the worse hotel experiences I have ever had. Stayed here on a Saturday night to be close to train station next morning. Check in line was about 20 minutes and went down hill from there. Elevators were not working. Worse part was there was very loud music and partying all night from close by until about 4am. We did not sleep at all. Also the area hotel was in was noisy, dirty, and crowded w poor food choices-not the “real Paris.”

The area is very crowded. There’s two buildings and management initially put us in the incompleted building, claiming the elevator was broken. Asked to switched to the main hotel which is shown in the pictures. Had to cause a stir before my request was fulfilled. The breakfast is €10 and is not worth it. All they had was croissant and butter with juice or coffee. You can find better breakfast for less than that! All the other reviews are true, do not book! This is not a 3 star it’s a 1star.

Be careful with this hotel
Please be careful with this location. I stayed here for a day with family and we locked the doors before we went to bed but was very shocked to see the door was open in the morning. Luckily nothing was lost though. Not sure if really someone tried to open the door or if this is a lock issue. Also, the location itself is not so great since the next door is an hospital and you keep hearing those ambulance noises throughout that night. Though, the location is walkable to Gare Nu Nord, the
