Pros: Friendly service and it was clean. There was always hot water for a shower.
Location: Easy walking distance to metro.
No complaints at all as the hotel was clean and comfortable and only 100 m from the metro.

Friendly Hotel near metro in Montmarte

Posted 20-Jun-2014
Pros: Smart, clean hotel, with friendly receptionists. Well-situated, close to metro, good safe area with lots of facilities.
Cons: Hotel is rather compact, but this is common in Paris. My electronic room key did not work, and I had to get the master key from reception each night.
Location: Rue Ordener in Montmarte is an excellent location. The street is busy, as it is close to the metro station, but not overly so. Montmartre is charming.
Hotel Eden is a smart, modern, but compact hotel in Rue Ordener, a busy street in Montmartre. It is close to the Jules Joffrin metro station, and from there you can take a short trip on line 12 directly down to Place de la Concorde, and all the sights of Paris. The area is excellent, busy and with numerous bars, cafes, and restaurants. The hotel receptionists were friendly and all spoke good English. The buffet breakfast area is by the reception, you can help yourself to cereal, croissants, coffee, etc for 7.5 Euros per day. My room was small, barely bigger than the double bed within it, but the room had French windows (of course) which opened onto busy Rue Ordener. The room had a British-type electrical socket as well as the contintental ones, so no need to buy a travel adaptor. As regards the city, it was my first visit to Paris, and I loved it. It is a sophisticated and mature city, and most things have that touch of French flair and vision which makes it unique.

Nice hotel in convenient location

Posted 04-Jun-2014
Pros: Clean and convenient. Reasonably priced continental breakfast.
Cons: As with most Parisian hotels, it could have better towels and a bigger elevator.
Location: About a twenty minute walk to Sacre Coeur with many good restaurants close by.
Very convenient location within 5 minutes walk to Metro. Lots of stores and restaurants close by. Once in the Metro, one can get to anywhere within the system.

Good price for good location and good sleep

I was impressed, although surprised at having 3 single beds for me alone, so I slept in the middle one :) The shower was clean, good and the water flowed well, the bed was comfortable and I put my ear plugs in and slept well, there is a great restaurant Le Chant des Oliviers down from the hotel and it is close to 2 Metro stops. Very convenient

Peaceful hotel for the City!

Posted 21-Apr-2014
Although only rated three stars, we found this hotel met our needs extremely well. Yes, the lift is small, yes the towels are small ..... but the hotel is so clean and we all slept so well in rooms 21 and 22. At the end of the day you need somewhere that you are happy to return to at the end of a busy sightseeing day and this hotel fits the bill. The breakfast was fine for us and a real bonus having coffee, juice and biscuits when you want, we also bought a large bottle of water at reception for 2 euros. Maybe satellite TV would be good, but we didn't spend that much time in the hotel for it to be an issue. Reception were helpful, you maybe need to have a little patience and understanding, they certainly did with our family and our basic knowledge of French. The area is great with the metro being a few metres away, we found an excellent restaurant to the right of the hotel (sorry cant remember the name), no tourists just locals and we ate a magnificent lunch on our first day. Would happily recommend this hotel.

Great price without sacrificing comfort or style

Quite enjoyable. Large room, comfortable bed, great location, enjoyable breakfast. Three small gripes. My room did not have a phone in it, and could not call down to front desk without using my personal cell phone. Wifi went down for 24 hours. It was fixed, staff was understanding and polite about it. I booked an early cab to go the airport for 5:15am. Woke up to find it was a packed group shuttle with a terrible driver. No time to book another or give feedback. As you can see, I've given the hotel high marks and will happily stay again.

Loved this hotel! The staff was friendly and helpful each time we needed anything. The hotel does seem like it is older but it just added to the charm for us. Our room was very clean and well kept. We booked an economy room with two twin beds but were given a room with a double bed and I am really happy about that! Only thing is that the room was sort of tiny and really it was all bed. We had one carry on and on large suitcase which we stored in a teeny closet in the corner of the room to give us more space so it wasn't an issue for us. The hotel is right off the 12 metro line but it is about 9-11 stops to get to all the museums and attractions. We are comfortable with public transport so didnt mind! The neighborhood is probably the best part, we absolutely adored it. We frequented the sushi place next door and Le Nord Sud a block away near the metro. We loved it and would stay again! One warning, the elevator is tiny and if we were a bit taller we would probably have to crouch. It barely fit us and our suitcases stacked on on top of one anther.
