Living in a Box.

Posted 09-Sep-2014
Pros: Henri was very nice, extremely helpful. As were other reception staff. The rooms were cleaned every day, with fresh towels. Very good location.
Cons: Lighting in the corridors. Tea/coffee/kettle in the room. Updating of rooms and bathrooms.
Location: Great location Reuilly Didirot Metro only 2 minutes walk away. You can be at Champs Elysee in Ten mins. Huge choice of bars and restaurants nearby
The rooms are small, very small. The only thing that is smaller than the room is the lift you have to take to get to the room. Apparently there were three people the hotel they were Hobbits. The only people who managed to use the toilets were apparently the Borrowers. Rooms over road at front are extremely noisy.

Best service our whole stay!

Only wish we could have stayed here longer! The hotel staff was the most friendly and accommodating that I've ever encountered. Phillip at check in anticipated all of our needs and really went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Even after our stay, the service continued as my daughter left her iPhone in the room. We were contacted by them right away to return the phone. Beautiful hotel with well equipped room- only bathtub we had while in France!

Comfortable, convenient, reasonably priced!

Posted 26-Jun-2014
Pros: We liked the convenience to metro/RER, shops but away from the maddening crowds of tourists.
The hotel was very clean, with comfortable beds and friendly, helpful staff! The location felt very safe and was within walking distance to the metro at Gare de Lyon, and RER at Austerlitz, especially for travelling to Versaille. The hotel area was near many good restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries, and laundry facilities. We were able to find everything we needed and wanted close by. The Hotel de Venise was our home away from home and a convenient base for visiting Paris. We enjoyed the more relaxing pace away from the maddening crowds of tourists and the opportunity to become temporary Parisiens. We strolled the promenade and observed Parisiens at work and play. The rooms are small like ALL European hotels but newly renovated and tastefully decorated. The hotel staff went out of their way to help us with making our visit to Paris a pleasure. The staff was patient, extremely interested in helping us with all our plans and making us feel very welcomed. Their friendly greetings with a smile and conversation in French or English was much appreciated. We highly recommend this hotel. The Hotel de Venise room cost is extremely good value for the comfort, convenience and friendly service.

A Most Friendly, Convenient Hotel !

Pros: We appreciated the smaller family run hotel with a personal touch! They connected personally and enhanced our Positive Parisien experience!
Location: Convenient access to metro/RER/Air France airport bus service, easy access to Versaille, Bastille, ALL Paris sites. A home away from home for Paris.

Great little Paris neighborhood near everything!

Posted 09-Jun-2014
Pros: Great rooms, elevator worked, new modern bathrooms.
Cons: The lobby needs some work, but its homey.
Location: The Metro is at that end of the street, the Gare de Lyon is 3 blocks away: which means all of Paris is at your feet.
What a great surprise to find this gem of a little hotel run by it owner Eric. He was helpful in arranging transportation and figuring the metro routes. He even kept our champagne cold downstairs til we came home. The rooms were spacious by Paris standards. Clean and updated rooms, a breakfast across the street, the Amburglide restaurant across the street and down was some of the best food I 've ever eaten.
