Great location

Posted 12-Sep-2014
Me and my partner stayed for three nights and we found the rooms to be basic but that's what you expect for a 1*. Great location, unfortunately the street outside can be noisy but the double glazed windows helped a lot! Very lovely and helpful staff that could speak English.

If you have any self respect avoid this 'hotel'

Posted 21-Jul-2014
Rude awful staff (even ruder than usual French staff, believe it or not) the hotel itself is shabby and smells moldy. Only redeeming quality is the location, however the street it's on is full of thugs and pick pockets. Overall, please avoid this place!

old and noisy, don't stay there

Posted 21-Jul-2014
it is a terrible experience. the room is tiny with no bathroom nor toilet. the hotel is in the center of bars and the noise is loud till 3am. the room has no AC or fan. with the window open you cannot sleep, with the window closed you cannot breath. it is the worst experience I ever had.

Functional and clean

The hotel is a little dated but the rooms were clean and the staff friendly. It's also very well located, 5 minutes away on foot from bars and clubs in the Marais. The room was quiet despite being on a relatively busy pedestrian street.

Staff were very helpful, friendly and welcoming. Brilliant location, close to tourist attractions and transport. Lively Rue St Denis , great eateries, highly recommend.

nice time in Paris

Posted 05-Dec-2013 on Hotels.com
Hi. The hotel was alright. for this small price I didn't expect everything to be perfect but it was better then I thought. It wasn't difficult to find it. It's just 30minutes walking from Paris nord station. All hotel is old but don't have this old smells. The room is simple but for three nights was good enough. Shower room clean and tidy. Its not a posh hotel or something but for us was ok. And the place its very good for young people. There is many restaurants and shops around and the river just 5 minutes walking.

Awful and deceiving

Posted 29-Jul-2013
Pros: Location
Cons: Everything
Location: Right by the Louvre Effeil tower and Notre Dame. Also next to a shopping mall that's outdoors
This hotel was awful... The amenities offered were nonexistent. Extra charges. You also can't pay for it online. You have to pay in Paris which would have been on except the prices on Expedia where advertised much cheaper. The only plus to this hotel was the location. Other than that a complete dump and money suck.

Lively area, safe hotel

In red light district, close to everything. Centre of Paris. Very interesting area. Hotel is well maintained and is safe due to the people running the place. Always someone at reception. Entrance locked at midnight, just ring the bell to come in any time. No air conditioning but ok even in summer Restaurants and food shops. Lots of Arab fast food as well as few very good restaurants . Couple Japanese one good Italian. I liked it, well priced, nice coffe with crason for breakfast. Friendly staff

We were pleased with the cleanliness of the hotel, and the friendliness of the staff. Great location and price! We were surprised by the charge of 2.50 euros for the community shower. There isn't much of a place to sit and visit in the hotel, but it is perfect if you plan to spend your days "seeing Paris". It was so nice to have a secure place to leave our belongings while we walked through Paris. The only downside is that you're on a street with all the strip clubs, etc. which was distasteful for my husband and me.
