“Ideal location, old-fashioned comfort, great views”
This is an old-fashioned, friendly and comfortable place. The staff are helpful and concerned, but Americans may not consider it to be up to four-star standards. We took a deluxe room so we could be sure of a view - - and what a view!! The room (511) faced the Tuileries Gardens and the Musee d'Orsay. Even better, it had two small balconies from which literally every illuminated site in Paris except the Sacre Coeur could be seen clearly: Notre Dame, the Louvre and Pyramide, the Orsay, the Tour Montparnasse, St. Germain des Pres, the Invalides, the Eiffel Tower, the Ferris wheel and the Arc de Triomphe. Amazing! Mabye the best hotel view in Paris. However, the hotel has no bar or restaurant (so room service is complicated), there is no proper concierge (though the front desk looks everything up if asked) and the business center is pretty basic. The deluxe room was comfortable, but not deluxe, and not priced "deluxe" either. Nice bath. Great neighborhood with Metro very near.
“Great location!”
The room on the photo when making the reservation was not as nice as the one I actually got, but it was clean and personell was friendly, especially the lady at the reception, who recommended a great place for a brunch nearby!
“Strong Milldew Smell, Stained Rug, No Heat, Wifi Bathroom Only”
This is not a 4 or even 3 star property if judged by our room. We did ask if the room we were being given was nice, and we were told yes. Either it was a lie, or the standard rooms are all like the following: Strong Mildew Smell... Due to a stylish but limited function glass panel for the shower/tub splash, water collects and pools on the floor by the tub and back through the commode. The grout and tiles themselves show the condition is repeated over and again. The result is a very strong Mildew Smell that had us closing the bathroom door just so the air in the room was not too strong to tolerate. Stained Rug... The berber rug in the room was badly stained in numerous places. Even a Motel 6 would have replaced or cleaned a rug in such condition. We knew we were in trouble when we first entered and saw what was considered acceptable at the hotel. No Heat... Nights were in the high 30s or low 40s F during our several day stay, and we were unable to get any heat in the room via the radiator nor the in-room HVAC unit, air blew, but it was hardly warm despite being properly set and reset. Fortunately, the comforter was warm and with a few layers under a heavy sweater once could sleep. Odd Piece (read consignment) Furnishings... $150 as the local thrift shop will get you a similar room of furniture. Odd pieces of limited utility in fair condition at best. Wifi in the Bathroom Only... We had to sit in the mildew to access WiFi with several devices. Go elsewhere.
“Great Location...Not 4 Star Hotel”
The staff was not friendly at all. The decor looks dated. I expected more from a 4 star hotel. The only good thing about this hotel is it's location. It's very close to all of the tourist attractions.
“Great Location near the Metro”
For Paris standards, I felt like the hotel was above average. The location is great. Many restaurants close by. Very helpful staff. I would recommend this hotel and stay there again.
“Good Location, Good clean first class hotel”
Arrived at lunch time for 1 night stay - hotel receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. We were given an upgrade to a suite which was wonderful - just a shame we were only staying one night. Cannot fault hotel - very clean and comfortable. First class location - excellent for sights and metro - within walking distance of river and Champs Elysees. Would recommend you check this hotel out next time you are in Paris
“Great location !!!”
The hotel was ok , we expected more for a 4stars , but its ok , great location ...right in front of Tuileries and Louvre We had problems with smelling (cigar ) in the room and requested to change , but not happened , they told hotel was full booked.
“Excellent”
Great location, fantastic views from front-facing rooms and very friendly staff, all at a price considerably lower than neighbouring hotels. Would definatelty recommend.
“Great hotel in perfect location.”
My wife and I just returned from the hotel and we had a wonderful stay. The hotel was centrally located, right near a metro stop. You can't beat looking out your window and seeing the Louvre, the Musee D'Orsay, the Eiffel Tower, and the Place de la Concord! The staff was very helpful and gave us some great restaurant recommendations.
“Perfect hotel near the Louvre”
Hotel is conveniently located directly across from the Jardine Touliers (sp?) and down the street from the Louvre. Hotel Staff speak English and are extremely accomodating. Would go back in a minute.
