Great location

Fantastic spot. Close to transport and good bakeries. Apparently not a lot of Aussies stay there. Friendly people in shops and caf├ęs. A bit dodge in the night. Hotel room we had was SMALL. Bathroom was impractical. Lift was unusable. Staff were friendly and helpful but overall it was tiny. If you just need a room to sleep then it is on the money. Try to speak French. They are happy to speak English if you have a go.

Friendly, but small and warm.

The hotel staff was very helpful, and friendly, and spoke English, which was helpful. The assistant manager in particular was most helpful. Most of the hotel rooms front the street, which is busy with cars, police sirens, trash pickup and such until late, and then early as well. The windows need to be kept open, because there is not any air conditioning, and there are no fans in the room, so it was loud and noisy from the street activity. We had a hard time sleeping due to the noise, and because the room was very hot. If the staff would put good fans in the rooms, this might help. I would not stay here in the summer again.

Not a nice experience

Posted 12-Jul-2014
Our room was tiny with the toilet in a separate 'cupboard' to the sink and shower. No air conditioning and too noisy outside to open the window. Plastic throwaway cups to have tea in were useless. Grateful we didn't spend much time in our room as it was not somewhere we could relax.

Great staff, clean and smart hotel. Quiet and calm at night. Area not great but you could have been anywhere once inside as it was very secluded and calm.

Great hotel; close to Gare du Nord and Sacre Coeur

Pros: As above
Cons: Nil
Location: As above
This was an excellent choice for the exploration of central Paris and Montmartre. We had to be 'downtown' fairly early each morning for tours and this was easy, either by Metro or by taxi when the rain was pouring down! All staff were very helpful and accommodated our needs. Lovely comfortable bed too!

Nice hotel, very friendly staff. The area around the nearest metro station is a bit rough.

Nice hotel in Paris

Posted 24-Feb-2014
Pros: The location of the hotel was excellent. The room was very nice, very good size and condition. I liked the luxurious look of the hotel overall.
Cons: The shower was not working very well, the water would not go down the pipe and ended up flooding most of the bathroom.
A very nice hotel, an excellent location, good staff and luxurious feel to it. Great! I would definitely come back and recommend this hotel.
