“Interesting experience”
Felt a little more like a hostel, and less like a hotel. They require you to turn in the key every time you leave. The staff will answer your questions, although not with a smile. It's almost like your presence is a bother to them. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't the best experience ever; we'll call it "interesting".
“2* Wonder of Paris”
We had a great experience of this hotel. It exceeded my expectation so much that I am left with a great memory of Paris. The location is so good! Only one change from Gare Du Nord. Bus 54 takes you straight to Anvers. It's so close to the Metro (Place De Clichy) and also right near the famour Charlot restaurant (amazing food). The Garden Rooms are slightly larger than normal Paris hotels. Hot water and hot boilers. Ok it's a 2 star hotel so there are cracks in tiles here and there and the paint is peeling a little and the window frames are cracking a little, BUT it was warm and clean, had good beds with extra bedding and hot running water for a shower- what more do you want when you are out all day anyway? The staff service was unbelievable I nearly pinched myself to check if I was really in Paris! CDG airport staff should learn a bit about customer service from them. Irfan and Fabien were always happy to bend over backwards to help us out, making coffee, ringing restaurants, lending us adapters etc. I would definitely seek this hotel out again for my next trip to Paris.
“Not Impressed”
Would NOT recommend this hotel. Room room was very small, tried and dated. Worst room I've ever stay in and not the cheapest. :(
“Cheap and chearful, but no complaints.”
Didn’t go to Paris for a hotel room while it was basic and a touch dated had no complaints. Beds were clean and comfortable. Shower was hot and powerful. Street was quiet. Staff very helpful. Breakfast was ok Cafe on the corner is very good, staff were excellent had sport and reasonable priced beer :-) Would use hotel again
“Great budget hotel”
Great location, pleasant staff, clean and tidy rooms, the bathroom was clean and functional but old and tired
“Cute hotel with good service”
The hotel is very close to the nearest metro station, 2 mins walk max. A lovely bakery is on the street next to it too which really makes breakfast a treat! The room was pretty small but that's the same most places in Paris. The staff were very helpful. A good experience.
“Great value”
Booked hotel mainly due to location and (limited) budget. The room was basic but clean and the hotel was extremely well located (just by Metro stop and easy to get to most of the key landmarks/tourist attractions without multiple changes). Also suprisingly quiet considering how close to a busy road - slept with the window open and barely heard any noise. Would definitely go back for future trips.
“would love to come back!”
we had one of the superior rooms which was rear facing away from main street, very quiet and relaxed atmosphere, room was very comfortable, very clean, staff very helpful and friendly, very convenient for metro, would definetely stay here again!
“Charming hotel in convenient location”
The hotel is somewhat small and with no A/C, but it's charming and clean. The first couple nights we were in a standard room facing the street. It was extremely noisy even at night, and if you closed the window it improved but then it gets stuffy. But then I realized I had already paid for a deluxe garden view room so I had that switched that right away. It was much better, as you wouldn't be able to hear any street noise, and plus you get a nicer view of the garden below. Most of the staff is quite friendly, and we were allowed to use the courtyard without buying anything. It's also quite convenient - across the street is a grocery store if you need to get bottled water, the Louvre is about a 45min walk south - walking down rue de Clichy or rue d'Amsterdam reveals a lot of quaint small businesses (bakeries, bistros, bakeries,.. ). It is also very close to Montmartre which is a nice place to see and also has the Basilique de Sacre-Coeur.
“Nice Parisian room in a great location”
The hotel is one of those small Parisian hotels situated on a quiet street in MontMartre (great location) and very close to the Metro - very convinient. The room is small and basic like most rooms in Paris but has a local atmosphere and overlooking either the quiet street or the back garden surrounded by neighboring buildings. No A/C in the rooms but nice breeze from a big window. The room is very comfortable but if you're looking for fancy - this isn't it. Breakfast is served at the garden and the staff is nice and helpful. Recommended.
