“Best little hotel in Paris”
All I can say is that all the wonderful reviews about this hotel are true! It was my first time in Paris and I was traveling alone. I always felt safe and looked after. Staff extremely friendly, rooms fresh, modern and clean. There's a Carrefour just a short walk away, metro station around the corner. I thought the breakfast was really good value, but if it is not your thing there are many cafe's all around.
“Hotel Bastille - great service, location, price”
This small hotel is ideally situated - 5 minute walk from Marais neighborhood and two subway lines...convenient to get to CDG with only one change...room was lovely, old-style Paris which has been modernized to be more comfortable. A lovely refuge from the bustling city!!
“Cute, friendly, and centrally located.”
This is a great little Paris hotel. The staff are extremely friendly and multilingual. The location is awesome: walking distance to a lot of attractions (Louvre, Notre Dame, Musee d'Orsay and others) but is also a block from the subway which is clean, bright, safe, and easy to use. The rooms are small, but extremely clean and although a little of the wall paper is peeling, it ends up being just right in the end. Who goes to Paris to stay in a hotel room after all???
“A really fantastic find.”
This was a wonderful find. Incredibly friendly staff who spoke excellent English and who were very good about my rotten French. The hotel was beautifully clean and quiet. Well placed - we walked everywhere. Wonderful breakfasts. I couldn't fault it and will be returning in the spring.
“Better of few options in tis price range for Paris”
Found Paris hotels in general very expensive. This one was OK for the price. If you have breakfast included in the rate, you may need to remind the staff on checkout. Good points: - very near Chemin Vert Metro stop - nice lobby, friendly staff - relatively quiet rooms - a little street noise but not too bad - breakfast basic but enough - option to have it in the room is good Less good points - rooms/ bathroom quiet small - in winter - heating is turned up super hot - some noise from other rooms
“Cheap, Clean and cheerful”
The hotel was in a good location near the Morais and the Bastille which is why I booked it. It was small, but very clean and I was very happy with its value. The hotel staff were exceptional and the male night receptionist was a brillient help and gave us plenty of advice and tips. The hotel is simple, very clean and has nice staff...good value for money in a good location.
“Paris treat”
Great location near to some reallly good restaurants and both lively and chilled bars. An excellent Sunday market is only 2 mins from the hotel. Very friendly staff and clean rooms at a very reasonable price. Will definitley book this hotel and location again
“Would stay again”
Hotel room was very small, but that's to be expected in Europe. It was very clean and was cleaned daily. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful to us. The hotel is not in the main areas where the sites are, but not a far train ride from anything (2-10 minutes).
“Not impressed”
The thing I will remember most about this hotel is the long list of minor inconveniences: my room was not ready when I arrived; it was still not ready when I returned at the time they suggested; the room I was given initially was not what I had reserved; I had to ask 3 times over several days for an iron before one became available; I was charged for two breakfasts that I did not have, etc...
“worth every penny of it”
At the discount price offered by expedia, the room was a great bargain. Clean room, friendly staff, nice quiet area fairly close to the major attractions but tucked away from the main swarm of tourists. There are lots of places to eat well, close by. In a half an hour walk you can be at the Notre Dame Cathedral.
