“Wouldn't Return. Ever.”
The desk manager was not kind, nor helpful. The room was VERY small and had the most uncomfortable bed I've slept in in my entire life. Free wifi is available; for 2 hours at a time. The hotel isn't in a good neighborhood, however it is a fairly short walk to the Nord.
“Simple but Good”
The hotel is simple but the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The facilities are modest but the room was cleand and kept so. We were at the back on the first floor so it was very quiet but the rue Simart is one way and not busy anyway. Breakfast was simple but adequate with very good coffee. Whilst the immediate surounding area is a bit run down we felt safe day and night and any contact with local was very friendly. Very convenient for the Sacre Coeur. Metros 4 & 12 closeby
“Moderately Satisfied”
While the room was clean and the staff did speak decent English there were some downfalls to this hotel. For one, the "free" wifi was down for the majority of our stay, about 5 of the 7 days to be exact. This was really annoying and the staff did not do anything to compensate for this. It's location was okay, about a 10 minute walk to Montmartre, which is beautiful, but not very close to any of the other tourist attractions. A taxi was about 15 Euros to get anywhere else, not including a tip. The free breakfast basically consisted of croissants every morning, which wasn't really bad, considering a free breakfast in the states is usually a donut. It was cheap but if you do your research you can find a much better hotel at the same price, if not a little bit less.
“great for the price”
The hotel wes very clean, but small. I had my own bathroom with shower in the room. Breakfast was free so a bonus. The location was not that great, but not far from a metro station. Staff was friendly and helpful.
“Will stay there next time in Paris”
Very friendly and helpful staff - with 24 hour desk. Rooms cleaned every day. Excellent breakfast included. Great location for the Montmartre district of Paris. 20 minute walk from Gare du Nord, 10 minutes from Barbès-Rochechouart (Metro Station). All in all, fantastic area of Paris to be in
“OK”
Pros: The Hotel was conveniently located near a Metro station and the hotels were decent Cons: Hotel staff was rude and there are no elevators. (We had to walk 5 flight of narrow stairs to get to our room)
“You get what you paid for”
Hotel: Ok. Personal: Kind and Handy. Breakfast: Ok. Neighborhood: Not so good. BE REALLY AWARE OF SUBWAY PICK POCKETS.
“Great value in Paris”
This hotel is in a some what dirty and rowdy neighborhood, but not a moment that I was concerned about safety. Hotel is one block from metro. Bakery and grocery store nearby. Very convenient and great value. Spiral stairwell without an elevator is a red flag for those not able to get their bags up the stairwell, but that can be alleviated by asking someone to help.
“Not Impressed”
Pros: Close to Metro, staff was very friendly, cheap Cons: Parking was 20 Euro a day in a parking garage about 3/4 mile away, then we were on the 6th floor with no elevator so we continued to hull our luggage up the stairs, the room was NOT AT ALL like the picture, it was VERY small, the bed was all that could fit in it, if you are claustrophobic DO NOT go here the hallway to get to your room fits only one person at a time, there were no wash clothes PERIOD. The room did not look like it had a good cleaning in forever. The neighborhood seemed sketchy compared to the many other neighborhoods of Paris that we visited.
“Will go back...”
Small, friendly hotel ideal for those on a budget, or those who simply want a place to sleep as I did. Close to 2 Metro stops and only about 15 minutes away from Gare do nord, or about 50 mins away from CDG Airport. Free internet too which was a bonus, as was the simple but fresh (bread-based) breakfast. The hotel itself gives you what you pay for. My window didn't shut properly and the street outside can be noisy, next time I'll take some ear plugs! The rooms are small and basic but were fine for me. Other guests seemed happy too with the hotel.
