Great location!

Posted 27-May-2014
Pros: Roof top bar
Cons: It was exactly what I expected
Location: Norte Dame was 2 minute walk, louvre was 10 minute walk
Right outside doorstep is access to all Paris transportation, great restaurants and walking distance to many great museums and historic sites. Area has many things to do but the best is the roof top bar with panoramic views of Paris!

Excellent location

Pros: Front desk staff couldn't have been better- recommended outstanding dining options and directions for all tourist highIights
Cons: Little noisy due to proximity to university and a long weekend
Location: Numerous places to eat with any number of types of food
Close to metro and countless restaurants. Could get to virtual any of the major venues within 10 minutes by metro. Zoe at the front desk was terrific. Rooms are small as are all in Paris. But the high light was the roof top patio and bar with a fantastic view of the Eiffel tower

Excellent location very nice hotel

Hotel is in a great location close to wonderful restaurants and caf├ęs. It is right next to a subway station and short walk to Notre Dame. It is small but very clean and updated. Our room had a balcony and a great view. Small. Very small, but excellent bathroom and very comfy bed. I would definitely stay here again.

Good location

Posted 05-Apr-2014
Pros: Location, rooftop seating area.
Cons: Cleanliness, no handsoap in the toilets on the ground floor.
Location: There is so much to do in this location, just get a decent map.
The hotel was in a good location, however we asked to be moved on the friday, at 12.30am, due to loud music from an apartment across the road from our room. The reception told my husband 'Well it is Friday night and you are in Paris' !!! Some of the items in the room were not cleaned properly i.e. glasses and cups. The most stupid item was in the bathroom which holds the shampoo etc, had to put it on the floor as it was so bulky. But all that said, we had a great time and I love Paris.

Holiday Inn - impossible to use tiny bathroom.

Posted 01-Apr-2014
Pros: Location.
Cons: Enlarging the rooms, bathrooms by a few feet.
Location: many fine restaurants, cafes, sights, underground and trains. Loved St. Michell. Charming.
Location in St. Michel is perfect. Bed was comfortable, the bathroom horrid! No bigger than a small coat closet. Staff friendly. Charges to get us a cab to the airport was outrages however. Breakfast expensive and not much. Would never stay there again. Lots of other hotels same or less expensive to stay. The closet to hang our clothes was small and no drawers in the room. We stayed 6 nights and couldn't wait to get out of that hotel.

Great location

We were a party of 6 ranging in ages from 36 to 86 and the hotel was ideal. It is moments from restuaruants, bars, shops and both the RER and Metro stations. It can be a little noisy at night with the window open but the rooms have air conditioning so if you shut both windows it is barely noticable. The rooms were very nice although my dad wasn't keen on the dark decor, they are also a little small but you have to accept this in a city hotel in an old building. The hotel has a roof terrace which has a great view of the Paris skyline and a clear view of the Eiffel tower, we were there in March and although the weather was great it would have been nice if there had been paio heaters up there. All in all I couldn't really fault the hotel, the staff were very friendly and attentive and the location is excellent. I would definitely go back.

Great modern hotel with one drawback

Posted 25-Jan-2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel was excellent. Staff very helpful. Daily cleaning service first class. Breakfast facilities faultless. Adjacent to the Seine and the Latin Quarter with plenty of good restaurants. Metro station 50 yards away for easy travel and on a direct line for Gare Du Nord. Being Paris the room was quite small and there are no drawer units (wardrobe with a couple of shelves) so more than a few days stay is uncomfortable living out of a suitcase. The biggest drawback, for me anyway, is lack of privacy with the VERY small bathroom. It has an obscured glass sliding door which does not close properly leaving an open inch and a half gap looking in or out. The door actually does nothing in terms of privacy for all functions. Obviously a design fault as the door is on a runner away from the wall and really should come to rest against a reveal to lose the gap in the closed position, but no such reveal exists. I raised the point on arrival thinking it was only particular to my allocated room but it turns out that all the rooms are the same after very helpful staff tried several others to accommodate my request of another room. If you can live with that then overall a great place to stay in all respects.
