Basic & tired

Posted 24-Jul-2014
Pros: Shower powerful & basically clean room.
Cons: Air-conditioning to work. Bigger rooms. Better security on the windows. No illuminated sign outside. Better privacy.
Location: Rue de Abessess nice to walk along. Nice boulangeries for breakfast. Sacre Couer nearby. Metro stations close by.
Montmartre a nice place to stay. Trendy village feel. Hotel very basic. Rooms very small. Illuminated sign outside the window (all family suites located in this corner!). Scarily, the windows open fully. Don't want your children to try to lean out! Flats opposite able to look into your room. Stayed for 3 nights Had problems with the air-conditioning not working, during a very hot weekend (temperatures 26-28 degrees C at night!) Took until third day to fix the problem, and even then in only one of the rooms. Staff pleasant & trying to be helpful, but unable to resolve the issue.

Nice hotel at Montmartre

Posted 19-Jun-2014
Pros: Affordable, clean, close to subway station
Room was very clean. Bathroom too. Very small though which is very common for European’s hotels. Windows can be opened so you get some fresh air. Approximately 5-minute walk to the nearest subways station. It takes then max 10 minutes to Arc de Triomphe. I would recommend this hotel, it is very affordable comparing to the hotels around the main attractions in Paris. There is a great bakery just 2-minute walk from the hotel, at the parallel street. Paris is so great, although be careful about street scam and pickpocketing.

Good value. Great location.

Paris is normally expensive. Holiday Inn offers surprisingly good value in my favourite area. 10 mins from Sacre Coeur and even closer to the great restaurants of Montmartre.

good location...pot luck with the rooms

Posted 19-Apr-2014
Pros: Staff friendly and tried to be helpful
Cons: redecoration of top floor rooms at least
Location: Monmartre.......fabulous...and possible to get away from the worst of the tourists with a little bit of effort
good location..easy walk to Metro and Monmartre landmarks and a few good restaurants and bars very close to the hotel. Had top floor room...plaster peeled from ceiling and wall paper bulging from damp...extractor fan not working in bathroom...breakfast at 15 euros each not good value compared to local bars.

Great hotel centrally situated for access to Paris

Posted 19-Apr-2014
Pros: Friendly, knowledgeable staff, good breakfast, centrally situated location without the noise of the city centre.
Cons: The room got quite warm at night - would have been good to have had the air conditioning working- although I never asked.
Location: Montmatre is extremely central once you know how to use the buses and metro properly. Restaurants, and entertainment are close by in Place de Clichy.
We had a great affordable family holiday based at the hotel for 5 days. We had a family suite consisting of 2 rooms which more than easily housed our family of five. The facilities were comfortable, beds were good allowing for restful nights' sleep. The breakfast each morning was of a good standard, setting us all up nicely for the day. Whilst there were no leisure facilities, the free wifi and good TV , more than sufficed after busy days out sightseeing in Paris and Disneyland. The highlight of our stay was the helpfulness of the staff. They were friendly, courteous and spoke excellent English, which helped considerably when needing directions or suggestions on what to do or where best to eat. We will most certainly return to the holiday inn Monmatre when next in Paris. The taxi to and from the Eurostar station at Gard de Nord was cheap (12 Euros)

Good welcome at Holiday Inn Monmatre

Posted 18-Apr-2014
Pros: Good buffet breakfast ... A little on the expensive side but there was a good choice ... Would Have been nice to have been offered a coffee top up
Cons: Only comment is that tea /coffee/ milk was not replenished by chambermaid .
Location: quiet street close to bars, shops ,restaurants ,Sacre Coure and Metro stations ... Contrast to rather seedy main street below ...
Having walked from Gare du Nord, got lost , encountered a surly tourist information rep...we eventually found the hotel where staff were extremely welcoming . Room was a good size , especially the spacious bathroom . Only hanging space in the wardrobe but not really an issue for two nights . Tea and coffee making facilities ...plus. TV with UK channels was good... Very comfy beds too

Great facility

The location and the access is great. The staff is extraordinarily friendly and helpful. The breakfast is hearty. Minor problem with the sofa bed that could not be repaired during our stay and we were not given another sofa bed- minor inconvenience, but otherwise we enjoyed our stay. Would recommend highly and will definitely stay at this hotel in the future. Recommend highly.

Great location for visit to Paris

Posted 19-Mar-2014
Pros: Location, comfortable bed.
Cons: Include breakfast in rate.
Location: Sacre Coeur is within walking distance. You can take a bus straight to the Opera, the Louvre, and almost to Norte Dane.
This hotel is inexpensive, comfortable, and located in a great area. Montmartre is central, upscale, and cool. It's an ideal base for a visit.

Well-priced hotel in a great location!

Posted 17-Mar-2014
Pros: Montmartre is a beautiful and eclectic area. The rooms of this hotel are relatively big (by Paris standards)
Cons: Breakfast is ridiculously expensive. So just walk up 300 yards and eat in a beautiful cafe
Location: Amelie's cafe; Sacre Couer; Van Gogh's house. This area is the hidden gem of Paris!!
Great area with a quirky feel to it. Montmartre is to Paris what the Village is to New York City,

Very nice hotel

Posted 10-Dec-2013 on Hotels.com
We asked for a family room expecting one large room but we actually had two regular rooms but with a single door entrance. This was great as the kids had a room to themselves but with the security of a single door. Very clean and comfy rooms and very easy to get to from EuroStar terminal. Could not fault it, especially at the low price we paid.
