We arrived and it was so hot. The room has no air conditioning and the fan wasn’t even on so it was so hot. The toilet barely flushed and I would have to hold it down for 30 seconds each time. The sink was so plugged that gunk was coming up from the drain. The day we were supposed to checkout the front desk guy came in our room at 10:30 while my family and I were sleeping. We were supposed to checkout at 11. Very inappropriate as he didn’t even bother to knock. Super disappointing hotel and stay

It's unacceptable that the room lacked proper cooling, the toilet and sink had issues, and that you had an inappropriate intrusion by the front desk staff. Okay hotel…
The rooms were small, very small, which we expected. However, the beds were tough to sleep in, and the main issue was the hollowness of the rooms. We could hear anytime anyone left their rooms, as though they were entering our room. Hotel itself was kept tidy and it’s what you’d need for a cheap stay overnight in an expensive city.

Very friendly front desk staff , cleanliness needs to improve a lot . I had to buy some cleansing wipes and buy some flip flops for the shower. Also no proper towels just hand towels only . Thankfully the bedsheets were clean.

I took my daughter to Paris for the first time. I chose this hotel despite some harsh reviews. The location to the metro was a good selling point. When we checked in they were ready for us. It literally took 5 minutes to check in. Our room was ready and clean. Very basic, but we weren't there to hang out in the room. Big bathroom no shower stall, but a nice shower. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our beds were made mostly every day and fresh towels were put in the room everyday. Toilet paper was kept refreshed every day. My daughter fell ice skating halfway through our trip and was in a wheel chair. The staff showed genuine concern and was accommodating with wheel chair storage. There is a nice cafe directly across the street that has great food. A bakery on the corner. A convenience store, grocery store and pharmacies all within a two minute walk. The street the hotel is on is quiet. The metros were clos d due to strikes while we were there so we didn't get to utilize the metro stop within a 5 minute walk. We used the bus stop that were close by. It was pretty cold out when we were there but our room was always nice and warm. Beds were very comfortable. When our trip was coming to an end staff scheduled a cab for us to get to the airport without us even having to ask. They do have breakfast available there but we never tried it. Our stay at the hotel was 11 days. We would stay here again and would recommend.

After checking in they called my room and told me i needed to come down and pay more money because they didnt charge enough(their mistake) and thats just the beginning. Unknowing that only 1 person was allowed in the room amd a friemd showing up to stay with me, they told us it would be an extra 15$ a night, but after 30 minutes of talking he said that "because he pities us he will lower it to 3 a night" gave us the key and sent us up to our room. The next morning the "manager" stopped us and said in more broken english that we are two persons and that we werent allowed in the room. We explained that we already paid for the second person, and then he sat in the corner on his phone and didnt say anything. We asked like ...so is everything ok or??? He got upset and told us no it is not ok because we are "2 persons" then went back to being quiet. We asked what we were supposed to do then and he said he will talk to the guy that charged us. When we got back the first guy handed us the key to go up and we asked "so everything is ok?" And he immediately starts yelling the same thing. his manager told him what he did wasnt ok so he changed his mind and acted like what he charged us was not actually for the second person. He kept yelling at as so i pulled my phone out to record this because being harassed is not ok. He ripped the key from my hand and tried to swipe my phone. We almost called the cops and expedia did nothing. Terrible.

Helpful and friendly service, I arrived early and they were only too willing to help me and provide me with a room. Great area/location it is safe - so many hidden gems nearby ... fantastic boulangeries , parks etc. In the middle of two metro stations. Comfortable double bed.

Good hotel for those wanting to explore the city.
Good location, down the road to a metro station. Helpful staff, any problems they are happy to help you. Lovely cafes within walking distance. Rooms and basic but good if you have come to explore the city and not planning on spending much time there. Bed comfy. Can get quite warm in the room.

Bed bugs spoilt what would otherwise have been a nice stay at a reasonable price in a good location. A week later, we are still trying to eliminate them from our luggage and clothes, having brought the wretched things home.

the room 401 of Hipotel , located at 7 Rue Jean Baptiste Dumay, in Paris. I could not sleep because of the sheer large scale of insects on the bed. I know its difficult for you to believe, but I have captured videos of the room along with the room keys as a proof. I asked the hotel authorities to change my room, but they said they are sold out and cannot change my room. I want Hotels.com to refund me the amount. Let me know if you want me send the videos to you as a proof... this is horrible and beyond me.

Don't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy! The management is awful and not friendly at all. It is a shame As the location could be great between Pyrenees and Jourdain metro stations.

The room was too small, not like pic, feels dirty and left with bug bites) . Listing said room has coffee maker but it didn't. Bed was very uncomfortable. Wifi was very good, area is quite nice. Shower was small and filthy The hotel should be classified as 2 star, it's not a 3 star hotel

Good Hotel
The hotel is small and basic, but it did its job. It's located very close to two Metro stations and super easy to get to. The staff is absolutely wonderful and it's a great help that they all speak English. One can even get a decent breakfast for €7 per person. The free wi-fi is an important amenity we could not have done without. We would definitely recommend this little place and will stay there again.

I selected the hotel based on proximity to my business and price... I wasn't disappointed at all... The welcoming and little talk of the receptionist/manager was just perfect to make me comfortable and safe... the room is large and enough space for my friend and I. WiFI and electrical connections were important to us and again you were up to it! Thank you very much...

You get what you pay for.
Room OK, but there was hair on the pillow and towel. Complained and got new ones. Still hard to know whether the new ones were clean. Location very good with metro stops close and nice neighborhood without many tourists. Friendly personnel, willing to give advice on directions etc. Considering the price, the hotel is good. Save the breakfast money to find your food outside for the same price or cheaper.

Rubbish and Smelly Hotel
smelly bedroom, the bedroom smelt of damp. Bedding was not changed until 4 days later, we had blood in our bed.The shower was so small I kept slipping and almost had a very bad accident, Rooms were so small and smelt dodgy, the floor was falling apart I fell 2/3 times. The lamps were broken, there was not enough toilet role. We asked for milk, which they could not provide, we asked for sugar and they gave us 3 sachets between 5 people. They did not change the towels unless they were chucked on the floor. They promise free wifi but they charge hourly. The neighbourhood is very noisy at night as there is a pub very close by. The rooms look they have never been dusted, the hotel is not even fit for a dog. There was no drinking water, we had to drink toilet water. Also, the lift was only big enough to fit one person. The stairs are dangerous with a stench of a urinal. The hotel seemed empty with no other residents.

One night in Paris
I wasn't sure what to expect after reading so many different reviews. I have to say though, I was VERY pleasantly surprised, after I checked in. It wasn't the Ritz, but it's not the price of the Ritz either and I think a few people might have forgotten that in their reviews... The location was one of the best features of the hotel of course, being just one train station away from the subway line #2, which takes you to most famous attractions in Paris. But the room was fine too, especially for the price. I had a very comfortable bed (and very clean), a bathroom and a new TV. I spent a very relaxing and quiet night and the people working there, were very courteous and helpful. All in all, this is where I'll go, when I need to stay in Paris again. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a hotel in central Paris with a good quality/price ratio!

L’accueil s’est très bien passé, le monsieur de la réception très sympa. J’ai séjourné seule dans cet hôtel, la chambre est petite à 2 cela aurait été compliqué même si elle est bien agencée. Là rue est très bruyante il n’y a pas de double vitrage heureusement j’avais prévu des boules kies.
