“Loved it!”
We absolutely loved this hotel. Upon arrival, we were upgraded (we booked just a standard double room)to a very nice and big room with a very respectable bathroom. The receptionist was very friendly and polite. The room was absolutely great for the price that we paid. Very clean (v. important to me, as I am quite demanding in that respect). Didn't have breakfast in the hotel as we are not big eaters in the morning, so can't comment on that. Very good location, would definitely recommend it
“Dec 2011”
Location, location, location. Good room, excellent reception service and reasonable prices. Was room only so can't comment on food. And the location could not be bettered for access to sights, sites and public transport facilities.
“Pleasantly surprised”
After reading reviews of Paris hotels rooms I did not expect much. I was pleasantly surprised. Our room was clean, bed was comfortable and the bathroom was large. The room itself was not huge but it did have a nice closet and storage trunk to hide away clothing and suitcases. The windows opened and it was nice to have fresh air. The front desk staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful and most could speak fluent English. The hotel is a couple blocks from the Louvre and was in a Fantastic location. I really could not have been happier. It is close to the metro and we walked to most places. There are lots of shops and nice places to eat nearby. We did not try the breakfast at the hotel mainly because of price. The elevator is very small and old and was broke down one night during our stay. But I think it was charming and let me know that I was in Paris. The stairway was a bit tattered and could use a fix up. This place is not the Ritz so if you are used to that scale of hotel this place is not for you. We are down to earth people on a budget and I loved this Hotel. It was clean and comfy and close to attractions. I would stay there again and I would recommend it to anyone.
“location>>location”
second visit here..9th to paris..very well situated hotel..good rates..rooms worn..staff helpful...breakfast included first trip so it was great, but not worth 14 euros on return trip..safe area for women traveling alone..convenient pickup for hop on hop off bus across the road @ the pyramid..great walking area although ongoing construction across the rue was very noisy....will return
“Can't wait to go back-for the fifth time.”
Very excellent French experience.
“Good location.”
We chose an inexpensive room on the top floor(6th). It was bright and sunny without a good view of the city. We were offered a superior room with a view, and decided to stay as we were not going to spend much time in the room. It was quiet and comfortable with a nice bath tub.
“Nice Hotel in a Fantastic Location”
The hotel staff was very pleasant and helpful. We found the hotel to be a little tired looking. The elevator was way too small to accomodate luggage and people at the same time so we took the stairs up and placed our bags in the lift and met it at our floor. The standard rooms are too small so we upgraded to a superior room. The location is unbeatable and we did enjoy our 2 night stay very much.
“Great Location”
This is a nice little hotel located very close to the Louvre Museum. The rooms are tiny with small beds. Everything is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. A fair price for a nice place to stay.
“A little tired, but nice location and roomy for Paris.”
Small things that irked me were; noisy air con, plastic coffee cups for the tea and coffee in the room which of course made us NOT use the tea and coffee service. Bedspreads were REALLY ugly. Things I liked were: location, large rooms, we had a little balcony and a view to the end of the street was the Tuilleries and a ferris wheel. Area is a little more tourist friendly than the Latin Quarter, they don't have a cow if you can't say think of the French word for something. Restaurants in the area weren't overpriced, for a three star (it's on the sign) in Paris it was a nice little place. They charge WAY TOO MUCH for the internet, and the breakfast was too much, I'd just go out for breakfast.
“Great location, great hotel for museum hopping--I'll go back again”
The hotel is located near by must see places like the Louvre, Tuileries garden, Concorde, DoOrsay museum, Orangerie, and etc. Also, two major Metro stations are only a couple blocks away so that you can access to Montmartre and Montparnasse without transferring to another Metro. Over all, if your goal is to do sightseeing then, it is a great place to be. However, there are many small hotels like this near by, so I personally don't think you must stay at this particular one. Rooms are clean, there is a small fridge so it's convenient. A couple of small convenient stores are behind the hotel on St.Honre. It's near by the major street, Rivoli, so it can be a bit noisy at night and in the early morning, but I used to live in NYC, so it didn't bother me that much, but did bothered my mother. WiFi access is very pricey--it's 5 euros for only 30 minutes. There is a public computer on the first floor, so if you only need to check your email occasionally, don't bring your laptop. Breakfast was included in my deal, so I ate there every morning, but the menu is always the same. Boiled eggs, ham, cheese, pastries, and cereal. If you don't like that kind of stuff, not worth it.
