“Great little hotel”
Reception staff were all brilliant and the hotel is in a perfect spot with loads of lovely cafes, bars and restaurants on the doorstep. Room and en-suite were very clean - just don't take a cat with you because you won't be able to swing it!!
“Can't fault it”
This really is a lovely hotel, on the bustling and vibrant left bank, with loads of bars, cafes, pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance. The room was very clean and nicely decorated (with a lovely canopied bed) which face it is all you want in a hotel room when staying in a place like Paris as you'll spend most of your day outdoors. All of the staff, as well as speaking impeccible English, were helpful and friendly, apart from one of the breakfast waitresses (who was only on duty on one day out of the week we were there) who was a bit hopeless, but hey you're on holiday so why get stressed about such a little thing. We didn't, and it was all sorted out anyway. If we ever go back to Paris, we'll definitely be staying here again.
“great location and friendly staff”
This was our 2nd stay within 6 months , we love the location and the friendly staff - this hotel offers great value acomodation for those who accept the fact that parisian rooms are notoriously small! having said that unless you are of a large stature the rooms are more then adequate. The best endorsement I can give is to say we will be going back again .
“Great hotel, fantastic location”
Very helpful front desk, allowed us to check in very very early, the room was tastefully decorated and well appointed. The lift was a little slow, but stairs easy to get up as well. Perfect location - about 10 mins walk to the Lourve and smack bang in St Germain. A fantastic neighbourhood.
“A little gem!”
We would recommend this hotel to anyone! We were delighted to have found it. It is right in the centre of Paris, not far from Notre Dame and surrounded by an excellent range of restaurants. Easy access from the Metro. The gentleman on reception was very friendly and helpful. As we were struggling to find our documentation on arrival he said 'don't worry about that, I'm sure I've got the same information here somewhwre' and then promptly found it. On departure we left our bags at reception including a carrier bag. When we returned to collect them later in the day, the same gentleman had replaced our scrappy bag saying ' I've found you a better bag'! That's my kind of service. We had a 'superior double' which was delightful. The room was not huge but plenty big enough for 2. The bathroom was a good size. Everything was spotlessly clean and decorated beautifully. Our room faced onto an inside courtyard which although not interesting to look at did mean that the room was quiet and cool. And, let's face it, who wants to be in their room for any longer than they have to when they are in Paris! All in all an excellent choice and we have vowed to go back to Paris and stay at the same hotel again because we liked it so much.
“Very French and Romantic!”
It was not the first time I stayed at this hotel with my husband. If you are looking for a very French experience then i recommend their traditionally decorated rooms ( I think they are all nice). They are very comfy and intimate. I admit that the rooms and especially bathrooms are quite tight in space but when you take in consideration where it is located x price x service then it is worth it. Think that you do not come to Paris to stay in a hotel room all the time so better squeeze a bit and have a nice room when you are. This hotel is in the heart of the area I absolutely love in Paris. Saint Germain des Pres is lively and Bohemian. You walk to Notre Dame and the Louvre. You have the best cafes and restaurants, art shops and book stores, the best of French delicatessen around the corner so definitely convenient. The towels are very nice and very clean, but they should change it more often (put new ones before they get a bit too old - my only advice). Also the receptionists are very friendly! Enjoy... don't forget to walk a lot around Saint Germain and have a nice glass of wine with a big french salad in the cafes (for me)....
“Good place to stay in a great location”
Perfect location in the Latin Quarter surrounded by bars, cafes and restaurants yet on a quiet road. Rooms were small and relatively simple but everything worked, the place was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back!
“Great little parisian hotel”
No complaints with hotel. Room small but as to be expected in Paris, bathroom surprisngly large and well equipped. Had a power cut one morning but it was resolved within the hour. Hotel staff friendly and informative. Good location, really close to notre dame, the louvre and two metro stations and RER lines. Excellent.
“Quaint hotel, excellent location”
Nice quaint hotel, excellent staff and service. However, Paris is a 24 hour city and therefore if you seek total peace and quiet ask for a room away from the front of the hotel as the street is busy through to the early hours of the morning. Great location, close to Notre Dame and the Louvre. Plenty of restuarants and bars in the area. Would recommend the hotel.
“Excellent Location”
The best area of Paris, just 10 min walk from Louvre. There so are many nice restaurants around.
