Good value

Posted 17-Aug-2014
Good value hotel with lots of restaurants nearby. We were kindly upgraded to a suite which was great since we were travelling with 2 children and they shared a large sofa bed. Lovely breakfast with very happy children at the pancakes made to order. We also paid for access to the club room which was good since free soft drinks and beer, perfect after a day out or before going out for dinner. They had nibbles at 6pm each evening but there was always a mad scrabble!

Stay here!

Posted 14-Aug-2014
Pros: Excellent staff, very helpful and accommodating. They are very knowledgeable and the concierge staff were very polite and always smiling.
Cons: We had a twin room (clearly 2 guests) but the' little extras' robe, pillow spray, bottled water etc. were only for 1 guest! Only one of each.
Location: Brilliant location as so close to major Metro stop. Place De Le Republique has great bars and restuarants around the square.
Really enjoyed my two night stay here. Went with a friend on a city mini break. We had a twin room at the back of the hotel on the third floor. Not much of a view but we were pleased to be at the back as when we were there the front of the hotel was being worked on and this would have impacted on the view anyway. Place de la Republique Metro is very close to hotel and a convenient 4 stops to L'Opera. Hotel room was very clean if a little small. Tired around the edges but clean and the towels and bedding were lovely. Very quiet given we were so close to a road and very dark thanks to black out curtains, slept very well! Didn't have the breakfast as was a little on the pricey side and we were keen to get out and about in the morning anyway, preferring to breakfast on the go at one of the many pavement cafes in Paris serving breakfasts and coffee.

It was okay...

The whole hotel seems dated and in need of a revamp. The location was convenient, as it's right by a metro station. I would probably try and stay somewhere else on future visits.

Great place to stay in Paris

Posted 06-Aug-2014
Pros: Location, facilities, friendly staff.
Cons: Free wifi, please.
Location: Location was perfect, next to the Metro and with lots of restaurants and cafés nearby. Easy walk to the Marais.
We loved this hotel. Location was perfect. The room was comfortable. The Club lounge was excellent (shame it took us two days to discover it!).

Handy location, too much noise at night

Posted 04-Aug-2014
Pros: Hotel was clean, nice. Pleasant staff. Metro entrance, local shops & restaurants.
Cons: Local noise is an issue, but that's outside what the hotel can change.
Location: Metro entrance, local shops & restaurants very handy.
Mostly we enjoyed our stay here. The staff was good, the room was kept very clean, and we liked the hotel. The Metro entrance right in front of the hotel was extremely convenient made getting around Paris easy. The only issue we had wasn't the hotel's fault: the square in front can be quite noisy some nights. On the plus side, there are numerous places nearby to buy food or other supplies.

Great Hotel near all the main Paris attractions

Posted 04-Aug-2014
Pros: The location and that the rooms were really comfortable.
Cons: Nothing in particular... I have stayed at other hotels in Paris in the past (before kids) and some were terrible. Overall this one was a pleasure.
Location: We enjoyed the patisseries near by in the morning for coffee and eclairs. Notre Dame was a short walk. The metro was really close.
The hotel was located centrally for our holiday. It was very comfortable and clean. The metro for Republique was outside the doors. We decided to take our 2 children (10 and 12) on this holiday. We all loved the patisseries near the hotel and notre dame was a short walk with shops and restaurants. We loved it and the kids loved it.... a very good holiday indeed. Merci beaucoup.
