Great location for a family

Posted 11-Sep-2014
Pros: Location and room size.
This hotel was in a great location. Easy access to metro station right outside, good restaurants and shops. Easy access from CDG and to the RER. Good sized rooms and facilities. Breakfast is a little expensive unless included in your room rate, but a lot of local places to eat or boulangeries to grab a Continental breakfast on the run. Stayed here with my family including a 21 year old and a 7 year old, perfect for both.

Pros: Location
Cons: Cleaning
Location: People should be aware that there are lots of thieves around, women should hold their bags at all times
The Breakfast area was not clean, Floor was sticking , and the service plates were dirty.

Weekend in Paris

Posted 09-Sep-2014
Pros: It's convenience.
Cons: The domestic staff could be quieter early in the morning.
Location: It is convenient for all sorts of things, particularly the Marais. It has excellent Metro links.
This was our second stay in this hotel. It is well situated, convenient for the Metro and within walking distance of almost everything. Yes it is large and anonymous but our room was large, which is not the norm in Paris. Breakfast in the Club Lounge was excellent and much more than the coffee and croissant Petit Dejeuner that the room description would lead you to expect.

Aug 2014 Won't stay there again

Posted 04-Sep-2014
Pros: the location was close to the metro and was nice to walk around the area
Cons: the staff
Location: close to the metro, close to shops and lots of cafes and restaurants, close to a grocery store where you could get water for less than 5 euros
the room was freezing and there was nothing they could do. The promised blankets but they never came. The phone would not work for calling out and they refused to fix the front desk staff couldn't wait to check us out - when we told them we were going to another hotel they simply asked when do you want to check out The front desk messed up our days but thankfully they were not full so we did not have a problem - some of them did not understand English well

Good hotel.

Stayed at the Crown Plaza for 4days in August 2014. Good location. Near metro, cafes, bakeries restaurants. Easy to navigate to anywhere you want to go in Paris via Metro. The beds are comfortable but the pillows are hard as rock. Would stay there again.

Busy location with great atmosphere

Posted 31-Aug-2014
Pros: The rooms were airy and clean and the beds and pillows were very comfortable.
Cons: The safe was right at the bottom of the wardrobe and was difficult to access.
Location: The location was directly next to the Republique Metro station which was very convenient to travel to and from the tourist areas and the Eurostar.
We arrived at the hotel at 12.30pm after an easy Metro journey from the Eurostar Gare du Nord station to Republique (which is directly outside the hotel) and were told our rooms would be available at 2pm as they had not been cleaned. We decided to leave our luggage with concierge and have lunch across the road in the meantime. We arrived back at the hotel at 3pm and were told the rooms were still not available. On complaining to the staff they were quick to offer us a complimentary drink at the bar, but we were not alone in complaining as it seems other guests were having the same problem. The response from the hotel reception was that they were extremely busy at the moment. Once we were given access to our rooms, about 10 minutes after complaining, we found that the rooms were of a very good size and clean.

4 days in Paris with two boys, 4 and 7 years old.

Posted 28-Aug-2014
Pros: The large room, the fitness center, the breakfast, the kindness of its crew, the location.
Cons: Late check out will be most welcome as well as free Wi-Fi.
Location: Whatever you want to do you'll find it around or a few metro stations away.
The hotel is very well situated in the heart of Paris, close to everything, especuially the Metro, The Republique Square with many free activities for children, playgrounds just around the corner behin the hotel; great location for joggers who can follow the Canal Saint Martin until the City of Sciences.....large stores are just a few metro station away as well as movies....
