This was our third stay at the Color Design Hotel and every time has been as perfect as the last. The staff is always thoughtful and courteous. The rooms are small, but very comfortable. The price is well below what you could easily spend in Paris. The neighborhood is absolutely outstanding with the local farmers market a few blocks away. Cafés, bakeries, restaurants and nightlife everywhere right outside the front door!

This is actually a great place to stay, location close to line 8 and line 1 on the metro, very easy connection to CDG and all sites. It is a very quiet street, (so much so you are not sure if you are there! Perhaps an illuminated sign would help), we followed walking instructions on google maps to find it which worked well. So, quiet location and good nights sleep based on that, you just walk to the end of the small avenue and suddenly you are on a much busier road with many cafes/bars/places to eat, we particularly liked Le Trois Freres, that is the yellow line 1metro side and then there were a collection of other places almost in a little square near the purple 8 line. Bed was comfy, shower was nice. There isn't a kettle as standard which I had seen in another review so I asked at reception if we could have one and they do have them and gave me one to take to my room so I was able to make my morning cuppa. Saw a review that said no towels but there were towels and there were extra in the drawers again, if you ask I am sure they will provide, reception were very accommodating. The only reason it is not 5 stars is that it does feel a bit strange going outside the back of the hotel to get to your room, this was on 4th floor you walk up inside, then go out to go back in. I think this is probably what the building are like in Paris as they are all quite tall and narrow which was echoed on the stair case. Good location, comfy bed, small room but all you need.

A decent hotel to stay in for a couple of nights, a good area that was close by to metro & train stations which made getting around Paris a lot easier! There was a few things with the room I did not like there was light fixture loose in the ceiling and a few spotlights missing bulbs. The hairdryer that was provided in the bathroom did not work. The stairs were very narrow and the lift did not work at times, which wasn’t great being on the top floor having to walk up or down all the flights of stairs. Staff were pleasant and welcoming the entire stay.

Quiet clean hotel
Quite clean hotel. Perfect for where we needed to be. There is an amazing coffee shop down the block along with a variety of restaurants. the weekend market is a plus. I would stay here again

Clean, convenient and comforting - welcoming staff! Travelled with my son across Europe and would definitely stay here again. Grocery store across the street and plenty of morning cafes nearby. Perfect for budgeting reasons and besides, you'll be out and about most days!

A good spot for a short stay in Paris
A comfortable stay for 4 nights in Paris. Not an ideal location for a tourist in terms of proximity to sites but good for the price and in a very nice area with many good cafes and restaurants. A small room but very clean and comfortable. Shower was really nice.

The bathroom is too congested, before leaving to go out I requested to change the towels however nothing was changed when we came back. No restaurant facilities nearby or on site, no tea/coffee makes in room facilities. First time experienced you need to leave your keys at the reception each time you have to go out. Really far from the city centre.

The hotel was lovely, the staff was really good, bit of mold in bathroom seals and the bathroom didn't really have doors, if I stayed on my own that wouldn't be problem but with 2 people only decorative doors aren't great if you want privacy for doing no.2. otherwise very good

Better to avoid!
Do not let you impress by the bright picture presenting the hotel. You will be VERY disapointing discover a reception igaul to a YMCA or a Student Housing. Elevator is tagged everywhere that provide a very strange feeling when going on the floor. Room looks to have been refurbished recently, but does not looks nice as the one on the pictures. Important details, I did not know that there was still hotel in the word without spare key do not forget it inside the room when leaving... Finaly the value for money is very bad. Definetely do not recommand. Go to the next....

Good location for traffic to everywhere.close to supermarket, shops and restaurants.bed was comfy and quiet location for sleep. hotel cool style .but little bit old . didn't same as like as the photos. no tea or coffee and kettle in room. I had to asked for get a kettle.staff was friendly.but some staffs didn't understand English well . The TV didn't have Netflix or any English TV channel. WiFi speed was fast.but did lost the connection sometime. we were stay for 3 night only. Hotel was ok for us in £300. Some 3*hotels room can be smaller in Paris.

Nice, modern and clean rooms. Comfy bed. Two main negative points: - You can’t hang the shower head so showering isn’t great. - You need to give back your key every time you get out of the premises. Never caused an actual problem but it looked like a security risk.

Good enough for a stopover.
This property is handy to Gare de Lyon which is why I chose it. And got an excellent rate on Hotels.com. I arrived at 10am on my first day and they kindly let me store my suitcase in lobby storage while I took off to push through the jet lag. It turned out that I needed an extra day and so when I asked what it would cost, they quoted me a price that was almost twice what I paid for the first night. I told them I hoped they could do better and left for dinner. When I got back I chose another hotel on the website since they did not seem inclined to honor my request. So although I was happy enough with my room and service, I had to move on.
