“decent enough apartment rooms”
I have stayed here many times now. this hotel is clean, the staff are helpful, it has free WiFi and is within walking distance from a couple of metro stations. some of the rooms have been refurbished to a quite nice standard, while the older looking rooms will do if you just need a place to sleep. My room this time had a terrace almost bigger than the living room area. sometimes the rooms can be pricey but I definitely recommend it if you get it for a decent price.
“Great for families”
These serviced apartments are a great option if you have a family. They offer everything you need for a comfortable stay and the location is fantastic. We have a 21 year old son and had a travel cot and high chair provided. It also helped that all bed linen and towels were provided. 15 minutes walk to the lovely Marais area and 30-40 minutes to key attractions. We will definitely be going back.
“Storm the Citadines Bastille Marais”
We had previously stayed at the Citadines St Germain, but our apartment at the Citaidnes Bastille Marais was more inviting. It had been recently refurbished and was very clean and well presented. Of course the area is not as chic as St Germain but there are several Metro stations close at hand as well as a regular bus service.
“Perfect for our Paris vacation!”
I can't imagine a better place to stay. Our room was just right for two adults and two teenagers. Most comfortable bed I've slept on in years! The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. And the neighborhood turned out to be just right – just a few blocks to the Place de Vosges and the Marais, close to the Bastille Metro station, within walking distance to Gare de Lyon, plenty of good shops and bistros in the 'hood. (Had a great meal at a place called Bofinger, and Les Artist cafe on the corner is terrific too.) Highly recommended.
“Citadines~ when only the best will do!”
My 7th floor apartment at the Marais Bastille Citadines was the BEST~ the desk faced French doors that opened to my terrace overlooking the rooftops of Paris & the top two thirds of the Tour Eiffel! The kitchen had top appliances, bone china&crystal wine stems, big refrigerator, granite countertops. Only needed to buy wine & food~ the Citadines supplies the linen dishtowels, new sponges, soap for the dishwasher, trash bags, liquid soap for the sink, etc. The terrace had a table and four chairs~inside the kingsize bed was very comfortable & there were four new down pillows [not feathers, but down] in crisp white shams and the duvet was also lightwieght down for summer covered in a crisp white 100% cotton duvet cover. Top of the line linens ~ I appreciated having the duvet cover ~more like home! There were framed reproductions of Van Gogh's Sunflower paintings on the newly painted walls. Two closets~ one with ample room for hanging clothes, shelf space for luggage, ironing board & iron, other closet had built in shelves, drawers,& a safe for valuables. Two very comfortable upholstered chairs, a lovely desk w/ chair, a chest w/ large flat screen TV/30 channels & stereo system in the livingroom. The hotel has umbrellas to borrow, carts to take to the markets~several nearby. Great bathroom~tiled walls & floor, hairdryer! ALL SPOTLESS! Staff is SUPER! Location GREAT! Since 1994, I have spent part of every summer in Paris & this is the Best place~I can't wait to return next year
“Great Bastile Hotel”
We stayed one night at this hotel July 5th. The staff speak English, very friendly and help you plan your day. We loved our stay in this hotel and will go back. Steps away from train station!
“I liked the hotel, but....”
The room had a non-functioning safe and stove top. I asked to have them fixed, and nothing was done. I like the concept of the hotel. I do think they should replace the fold-out couches with regularr beds as the couches are very uncomfortable.
“Would stay again”
Staying in apartment cost no more than a hotel but gives more space and the ability to do a bit of self catering - helpful given the very high costs in Paris. The apartment was comfortable and spotless. The sofa bed looked a bit disconcerting but was comfortable enough. The location is a good base with plenty of places to eat and drink locally if you don't want to venture too far in the evenings. I would recommend Le Chat Ivre, 22 Rue Des Taillandiers - especially interesting if you are a wine buff. My top 5 Sightseeing tips are 1. try to resist doing too much! 2. the metro is a good way to get around during the day once you get your head round it but I would avoid at night time. 3. Try the open top bus to get around - better views than the metro! 4. try to resist going up the Eiffel Tower - go and have a look at it at night just for the lights but the wait isn't worth it 5.For a good view of Paris go to the Pompidou Centre during the day and buy a "billet panorama" for 3 euros and go to the top of the escalator. Oh and take plenty of cash!
“Excellent place to stay for family of 4”
Hotel has excellent location, 1 block from subway station, half block from grocery store. We spent 1 week in Paris and we were able to save a lot by having breakfast and dinner in our room. We highly recommend this Hotel to couple with kids. Front desk very helpful, they provided us with maps and clear direction to get to train station and main atractions. Definitely will stay same hotel if back in Paris
“Much recommended place”
Perfeclty and conveniently located place. Meeting all the expectations. Nice and helpfull staff - I felt really not like in the typical hotel but a sort of residence. Well equipped, clean an quiet. Certainly an address to remember.
